The preppy convention, the all American alternative to Tommie Hilfincher. Yes I like the clothes sold here. It’s nice, it’s simple and their clothes are cut really nice. It fits my physique really well. One of the Casual wear brands that is here to stay. Yes there’s a ton of casual wear shops that came out within the last decade, but this brand has stood the time. You buy an outfit and it’ll look nice for a good while. It’s definitely not a fad brand, it’s a classic casual brand. Anyways, the store. It’s nice and orderly inside. Very neat and bright, so you can find anything you’re looking for and see yourself in good lighting as well. The associates are really nice and very helpful when needed. I enjoy shopping here, I’m sure you will as well.

A decent store to get cute, casual«on trend» clothes for the family. I shop here frequently because it’s a great place to stock up on basics, like t-shirts and leggings. They have cute clothes throughout the year and their sale prices sometimes(not always) are amazing. To be completely truthful, the clearance section for men is much better than it is for women. The guys have it going on! My husband scores really good bargains in here all the time, way more often than I do, which makes me jealous, of course! I did manage to pick up two new shirts off the sale rack in the back(after digging around for 15 minutes) that were marked down to an unheard price of less than $ 5 each. That was an über score and a rarity. For an outlet, this particular J. Crew has really nice quality and selection and the store’s layout is very attractive, with nice displays. Nothing is ever out of place or messy. In other words, it doesn’t look like a hurricane battered the store on a busy Saturday.

Over all I really like this store and in general quite like J Crew outlets. It’s tidy, organized and I know the layout like the back of my hand. It’s one of the larger J Crew outlets in MI and they carry a good deal of kids stuff too which is great because my little cousin is a budding fashionista so I can get her some cute stuff without breaking my bank. They have good sales, quality merch(for a factory store), and cute stuff indeed. My only compliant is that while the staff can be nice sometimes they can almost be TOO nice. I like a little help now and again and love a good welcome but I go shopping to unwind or pick something I need up quickly. Not to socialize. I’ve found this at a lot of J. Crew outlets, actually. I’m constantly dodging overly friendly staff. And that makes me feel like a jerk but I just need some me time, y’all! My most recent visit to this particular location I was followed around non stop by a sales clerk who kept trying to make small talk about each item I looked at. I was at the brink of a wicked cold and rushing to find my fella some stuff for his birthday and thus I was not in the mood and definitely made it known. I did everything I could with the exception of snapping«Leave me alone!» which I would have if I hadn’t walked out of there in irritation. You know, gently saying«Sorry, I’m in a hurry» or «Not sure. Just looking still.» etc, etc. I don’t like being rude and would have rather removed myself from the situation to avoid it so that’s what I did. I get it – I worked in clothing retail for 7 years. I know that it can get boring or you’re just trying to do what you’re told(be friendly) but sometimes you just gotta pick up on those social cues and know when someone has had enough chit chat or you’ll kill a potential sale.

J Crew has always been a favorite store of mine and this one does not dissapoint. The staff is so friendly and helpful. And they have such a gorgeous selection of jewelry it’s hard to choose just one or two things!

I believe this is the J. Crew in the Birch Run Outlets, although the address doesn’t match up perfectly(there certainly isn’t another J. Crew store around these parts!). You cannot beat the prices at this store for J. Crew — I got a $ 300 coat for $ 100. This is fairly typical of this store, I would say. And unlike some outlets/factory stores, they have a good selection of sizes. However, you DO have to be careful — always check whatever you’re buying for any noticeable defects. Even doing so, I have a cableknit sweater and a knit pair of gloves I bought here that are literally starting to unravel — that’s the risk you run buying at a factory store. Most of what I’ve purchased here has been fine, though.
