Service is still good however the food quality has declined noticeably. Sorry to say but last week was my last visit.

The food tasted pretty good and fair prices, but both of us have been sick, sick and we know it was the food … Either the prep or kitchen help ! Awful and sorry to say we’ll NEVER be back !

I advise anyone visiting Birch Run or Frankenmuth to stay clear from this place. The food was absolutely disgusting, plain and simply put. My boyfriend and I were eager to dash out. The beans were watery, the green salsa was nasty and warm, the quesadilla was bland and CRUNCHY. However, the complimentary salsa and ranch were decent.

As someone from the Los Angeles area visiting relatives in Michigan, there are a few things you Coke to not expect on your trip. While good Mexican food is one of them Fiesta Charra proved me wrong. The menu selection is vast and filled with authentic options as well as more Americanized dishes. I ordered three tacos and they ended up being larger than I expected with a huge portion of meat, so I only ate two. The tacos had good flavor and everyone at our table was happy with their meals as well. I loved that they had a few Mexican beers besides Corona that I did not expect to see in this part of the country. The interior was a little confusing when you first walk in but it looks like they’re working on it. We’ll definitely be back next Deer Widows Weekend!

LOVED my experience here! Great food, great drinks, great service. The chips and salsa they brought out at the beginning were great, the Coronoritas FANTASTIC, and the combo plates were delicious. Very pleased, will definitely be back.

I really, really, really wanted to love this place. People have said the location is stupidly huge. It is but that doesn’t impact the service or food. The strangeness of the location adds a certain charm in my opinion. It reminds me of a place straight out of a Neil Gaiman book but let’s get back to the review of the food and service… Service here was A+. Very friendly waitstaff. The killer for me was the food itself. My burrito was bland. The sauce wasn’t anything special and the beef wasn’t flavored — it was just cooked ground beef — not good. My wife’s taco salad had about ½ cup of water in it. I think most people would have freaked and sent it back. She expertly cracked the taco shell and drained the water into her plate and plopped the taco salad into the nacho bowl and ate from there. She actually liked the taco salad after it had be drained(something you should never have to say about a taco salad). In short, if you’re from the D, this is a step down from an Azteca’s. Again, I really wanted to love this place but I can’t recommend it. If you are looking for Mexican in Michigan’s Little Bavaria, you might want to check out Poblano’s.

First time here. Although not overly awesome, my lovely wife enjoyed her seafood enchiladas and my spicy burrito was typical Mexican fare, even though I did not find it spicy at all. Chips were complimentary and the salsa was good as well. It will be good to revisit so I might try something different next time.

Okay food but slow service. We had to ask for things that were forgot when we ordered. The burrito that I had was average the meat and sauce wasn’t all that special. My wife got a chimichanga and the meat seemed to be chicken, cream cheese and some tobasco sauce, which she didn’t care for. Average Mexican food. We had a long await when we got there. The building hasn’t changed from when it was the exit. It doesn’t seem like you are in a Mexican diner, there is a lot of wasted space in the building and some really different art in the waiting room. They should open up a wall and add some tables. But I don’t think they will continue to be super busy in the future.

I actually like this place, it is big and they do have a huge menu, I personally like all the choices. The service has been great and friendly both times I have been here. I will certainly be back.

Only once have I eaten Mexican food in Michigan and I don’t really recall how it was(margs must’ve rocked my ever-lovin’ world.) Different regions of the country definitely produce varying results. This place seemed inviting and had good reviews, so what the heck. The building is huge; almost too big. Once inside, it becomes readily apparent that this was something else at some point. There’s an area of almost comically unused space as you walk in, with cardboard promotional beer standees arranged haphazardly to distract from the vacuum. There was also that sort of «you can’t clean this enough» scent that comes with butts moving across booth seats. It smells like a Chili’s. Well, I maintain that a bottom-of-the-mop smell just means that they are too busy making great food to fuss over that sort of thing. Atmosphere is a little strange, though the music is great. Service was excellent and the chips came out smoking hot with a decent salsa and crema sauce. Margs were nice at the price and the menu features some neat variations on your usual Mexican fare. A nice mix of authentic and Tex-Mex. I ordered the Arroz con Mariscos — shrimp and scallops bathed in chipotle sauce and cheese. Served with rice, salad, pico de gallo and tortillas.($ 11.99) The shrimp was plentiful and flavorful; the sauce, not overbearing. The scallops were tasty, but disappointingly small. Rice and the rest was good. Despite the lone fly that pestered me briefly at the onset of my meal, I enjoyed it all well enough. My server was pleasant and attentive and I liked the wide open skylight that faced the highway. Besides that, atmosphere was sort of generically«meh» and the wafting scent of booth-ass left much to be desired. So, I maintain my theory about questionable cleaning practices and good food. In this case, however, the staff could probably do more in attempting to spritz up the joint. That, and the first impression of the entry sort of guided my recommendation. Good food and service, but sketchy atmosphere and maintenance. I’d go again.

Stopped by for lunch with a group of 7. Everyone tried something different. No one raved about the food but no one didnt like it. Service was good. But you can find this quality of mexican food in any town or city you go through. So its not a must stop but if you want Mexican it will satisfy your needs. Lunch special pricing was good

It’s fine, but there are plenty of reasons that contribute to why I’d prefer not to go back. The main reason being the last one. First of all(and not a big deal), the restaurant is huge… stupidly huge. To the point of «this could be two or three restaurants rather than one» huge. When you walk in, it just looks stupid. They tried painting a few things on the walls to give it a Mexican restaurant vibe, but there’s an empty display case when you walk through the front door. There’s a massive empty space to the right when you walk in that just has a few pictures on the wall for sale — I didn’t realize this was a photo gallery. Walking in, there are a few dozen large booths and some chairs and tables in the back. The bar area looks unnatural in its location, and I don’t even know if it really is a bar… as a whole, the place looks like a disaster. To make things(almost) worse, it’s like they tried some renovations, and then said«screw it,» so some things look modestly updated, while other things look untouched. The service is fine. No complaints. What I thought was strange was that there were about four people«working» who were at a table watching a soccer game. The only reason this doesn’t really bother me is that the service was still alright, the TV was really quiet, and they weren’t talking loudly. Still unprofessional anyway. The food isn’t bad. I got the taco combo for $ 9 — or was it $ 10? There are identical taco combo dealies on the menu for different prices. Oh, by the way, the menu is way too big. They need to trim it down some. The tacos were pretty good, even though I was bummed they used flour tortillas. I got carne asada, al pastor, and chorizo… the al pastor was great, carne asada pretty good, and chorizo not bad. Pretty decent and kind of surprised. The rice and beans were meh. The last reason I won’t be back? The workers are assholes. A man walked through the restaurant and a group of employees looked at him and laughed as he was walking. I don’t speak or understand much Spanish, but it’s safe to assume they were making fun of his weight. It’s not really any more authentic than Poblano’s in Frankenmuth, and 1.) It’s not as good, 2.) The menu is way too big, 3.) The place feels awkward, and 4.) The workers are jerks — they weren’t to me, personally, but still. Sorry for the novel. TL;DR: Go to Poblano’s in Frankenmuth instead if you want Mexican food.

Really odd Mexican joint. First off, it’s huge, probably seats 300+ people, and you kind of feel like it’s a cafeteria environment. For the most part it’s standard Americanized Mexican food, which is normally fine by me. I had the Fajitas, and they were sub-par all the way. They were over cooked, and also came with potatoes and mushrooms in them, which didn’t add much to the dish. Worst of all, my draft beer came out at just below room temperature, making it undrinkable for me(I’m a cold beer guy). Service was ok, the waitress was nice enough, but everything was a bit confused about the serving experience. I don’t think I’ll be back for a second round, despite being by far the closest Mexican to my house.

Excellent food. I loved them when they were in Clio. Food was fresh and hot. Also served on hot plates. Chips were warm and extra crispy. Beer specials as well!

Great food. Looks like they are finishing the inside still. Service was a bit slow but not horrible. I would recommend and will be returning.
