This was our first time at Bagger Dave’s and we absolutely loved it. Nice healthy options to make sure we weren’t cheating on our diet too much, and delicious too! Our servers name was Karli and she was very nice and friendly. We will deffinetly be going back!

The only reason we put off going here for so long was because we hadn’t heard super positive things about this place. After going there, however, we must’ve heard wrong because this place was delicious!!! The atmosphere is pretty neat, having TV’s is always a plus. The waitstaff is very attentive, the girl was very helpful, got us what we needed, etc. The food? AMAZING! My husband crafted his own burger(which is a pretty cool feature in itself), and I ordered one off the menu. He had egg, bbq sauce, onions, and other amazing stuff and I had fries, egg, this awesome ranch sauce on mine. The description doesn’t even come close to doing the food any justice. He got chips with his and I got fries. Not a super over abundance of fries or chips, but with the burgers being so big, I don’t think we minded. Only con is that the food is on the pricier side. Most burgers average about 10 or 11 dollars per burger which comes with fries or chips. Beer was 6.25 which was a bit much. It was a craft beer, however, so I understand.(Made in Michigan beer is all they serve by the way, which is another really cool part!) The meal was pricey so I doubt we’ll be here every night, but on days we don’t care about the bill, we will be here! For how big the burgers were, how amazing they were, and for all the other stuff that comes on them, it is well worth the money. If you were mislead like we were and told this place isn’t that good, go try it! I promise you’ll be amazed. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it!

We came to bagger daves for lunch on a Monday afternoon. We walked in and sat right down. They should have better signage for where the hostess stand is, and our hostess didn’t even greet us. She just walked us to a table and walked away. Haha But now to the positive part! When we first we’re getting settled my 2 year old noticed the train circling the room, and went crazy!!! It made our whole experience fun, because he was so happy! My hubby and I tried the craft sodas, and they were yummy. Although, they could have been a tad more sweet. Next, I enjoyed crafting my own burger! It was fun to fill out the sheet of paper with exactly what you wanted. I forgot to pick a cheese! But both my burger and my hubbies burgers turned out super good. They were cooked perfectly, and juicy. My favorite part of the new was the homemade hand cut French fries!!! So delicious!!! Our waitress was nice, and attentive. We will for sure go back

I love this place. Good food. Good beer. They’re committed to Michigan products. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was a little slow but not terrible. I’ll be back

Not knowing what to eat last night we tried here. Service was a little slow. But my sandwich was great. Had the Tuscan chicken really tasty and juicy, I put honey mustard on it. Really a good sandwich.

The burgers are decently good, the service is abysmal. Will probably never be back again.

Bagger Dave’s is a great option in Frankenmuth. We come to Frankenmuth every December to visit Bronner’s and Zhender’s splash village. The downtown restaurants all had a huge wait for dinner, so we went to Bagger Dave’s. Despite being a chain, it was hands down better than the downtown establishments(Tiffany’s, T-Dubs, Sullivan’s) in terms of quality of the food. The burgers, fries and mac and cheese were very good, the beer selection was superior to other Frankenmuth burger spots, and the sodas made in house were great(our kids tried black cherry cream and root beer). Our server, Crystal, was outstanding — very sweet to our kids(who like other kids can be difficult at restaurants). She went the extra mile with service from start to finish. Great meal — we will avoid the lower quality food and long waits downtown and instead eat here for every annual trip now!

Sidenote: About a week before attending Bagger Dave’s I watched the South Park episode where everyone is a Unilocaler and is super cool and thinks they deserve the best of the best service. While it was quite humorous, they hit the nail on the head. Why provide good service to just one person who might just review your restaurant? Wouldn’t it be common sense to provide the best to all customers? This is where Bagger Dave’s missed the mark… Experience: I was in town from Ohio with my mother visiting family and shopping for holiday deals at the outlets. When it came time for lunch it was either wait for an hour at Frank’s or fifteen minutes here. We obviously chose BD’s. Being an Ohioian, I was excited to see how this place ranked compared to some great places back home. While it was a great atmosphere in the restaurant itself we were seated in the covered and locked up once patio. Yes, we froze. But we had coats so it was no biggie. And so it begins… Received waters/beers with no straws for water. «Oops!» Said the waitress. «I forgot your straws.» If saying«LOL» were acceptable in person, I’m sure she would’ve. Anywho, the four of us order lunch. A half hour later we got straws. Lunch arrives 40 minutes later ice cold. Also, chili was delivered with no spoons. To top it off the cheese on the chili was literally hard. Gross. Send one chili back while the other one is sitting, waiting for a spoon and another in the party is waiting for dressing for their salad. Simple, right? Waitress runs back to the kitchen, grabs a spoon and pre portioned dressing, and voila! You eat. Nope. Waited fifteen minutes for a spoon/dressing meanwhile everyone else’s orders are messed up and go figure, cold. Waited another five minutes after reminding waitress about spoon. When the runner came back without a spoon but reheated chili for the first person, «s» hit the fan. At this point we realized sour cream for the chili was half water(gag) and there was still no dressing for the one salad. Our waitress was busy with another table yet quite aware of our issues. My mom went up to the hostess to get a manager. Ten minutes later still no manager or waitress. Finally the manager came over, very sheepish. Told us what had happened was unacceptable. Brought back a new chili and spoons! Woot! I could go on and on… But the moral of the story is this was hands down the worst service we’ve received anywhere. Ohio included. And the manager left us unsettled. Yes, the(reheated) food was good, but was it worth it? Nope. Walked out of the restaurant to an hour wait. Poor souls. Meanwhile there were at least ten tables open. Get it together, Bagger Daves. Anyone reading this beware. Just suck it up and wait at Frank’s.

Atrocious service. Waited for food 3 times longer than other Bagger Dave’s locations. Staff acted like this was normal. Not one person there even acknowledged us at any point. Not on way in or out. Temp was way too hot in dining room. Place is clearly counting on no repeat business and trading on the good reputation of other locations. Be forewarned!

I read many reviews on this space after sitting down to my table. Doing so caused concern n my shoe group as there wasn’t one positive review of this place on Unilocal. I found our visit to be much different than those of other posters. Our server, Alisha, was at our table 2 – 3 times before getting our order bringing drinks and answering questions. Our glasses were quickly refilled when we asked for refills, water or soda. The food was quite good and arrived within 15 minutes of ordering on a busy Sunday afternoon. I will say I’m not a fan of the guest assist serving plan in place here or many other establishments. This isn’t the way I was trained to wait tables nor was it how I trained my team to wait tables. I always see servers nowadays stand in one spot and tell you where to pass the dish or asking first where it goes then giving directions to the diners. Since when are we to participate in the process. Should I get up and fill my glass or remake another martini too?

We enjoyed great service and food on a weekday. The menu is different but the atmosphere and décor is cliched. I liked the crispy sweet potato chips with honey cinnamon dip. The Mac & Cheese was okay. The lemonade tasted terrific.

***Travelers Know*** being that this is a local establishment in Michigan, know that locals usually have their expectations and unfortunately the locals have their standard! Food and service was great! Bartender Alex took care of us and the service was haste! Compliments to the chef as well! When in Burch Run hit this spot, we will be back next year for HTCC Michigan and will be sure to visit here!

Summary: Only 1 star because while BD’s has good food in general, the horrific service service at this location almost made us just get up and leave. Dine at your own risk. Detailed: I really want to like Bagger Dave’s as a company, honestly I do… but other than the Sterling Heights and Novi locations, I’ve had to suffer through incorrect orders and obnoxiously long wait times every time. I’m not going to completely name who our server was, so I’ll call her C****n. C****n took over 5 minutes to get to our table and take our order, drinks and food, and left. 15 minutes later we finally received our drinks. 30 minutes later after no check-up, we were asked if we wanted refills. 15 minutes after that(so now our ticket time is over 1 hour), I had to ask some of the general staff for help getting our drinks and food because C****n just wasn’t cutting it with any of her tables. Shockingly, we received our refills in about 2 minutes(crazy, right?), the food shortly thereafter, and the manager came over to talk with us for a little bit. After hearing the excuses and reasoning for the exceedingly long ticket time, he said he would have a look at our bill and see what he could do. While the manager seemed like a nice guy, when C****n gave us our bill there was no comp or anything on there… likely because he forgot. We had just about enough at that point, and didn’t want to waste another 15 minutes tracking him down, waiting for change, etc etc. we already wasted too much time there(1.5 hours total by the time we left). So again… I honestly want to like BD’s, but they have a company-wide issue they need to address with their kitchen and their waitstaff because this problem is Michigan-wide; And this store was no exception. Bottom line is that if you’re in a hurry or don’t want to wait over an hour for food, id recommend going somewhere else unless you’re a gambler

300 miles into a 966 mile road trip and we needed gas and food. This place looked cool, so we stopped in. I never got the name of our waitress, I don’t think she even bothered to introduce herself. She ran around like a mad woman and just seemed not to care when there was a problem with our meal. Friday night and there is no signature Dave seasoning. Friday night and you run out of grilled chicken for the Cob salad and not bother to tell anyone, or mention it to the customer. Nor offer to take any off the bill. Probably won’t stop again.

Just had the pleasure of dining here, Kendra was our server. I was in the service industry for about 15 years and can honestly say I’ve never witnessed anyone who appeared to care less. Kendra took our order, drinks and food at the same time. After about 10 minutes we realized we didn’t get our beers. About that time we noticed our food in the window. About 5 minutes later, we see Kendra has ended her conversation and moseyed over to the window. She starts snacking while loading our food on her tray. She drops it off and we cancel our beers. We enjoy our meal, it was fine. Our water is empty. Kendra never checked back until my boyfriend had already finished his burger. She comes and asks if we want more water. Refills and asks if she can take anything away, we are both clearly mid-bite. She deposits our check mere moments after that, I hadn’t even finished half of my meal.

I’ve had Bagger Dave’s twice. The first time was forgettable and underwhelming. I only recall it being expensive for what we got. However, today I had an urge for a burger, but didn’t feel like cooking so my wife and I decided to give it another try. The service was fine, the food was not. The burgers had interesting toppings, but were very small for the price. However, worse than the price and size was the actual meat. Instead of having the sort of crumbly texture one might expect from fresh ground beef, it had a weird, springy texture I might associate with pork sausage or a kebob; but definitely not a good burger. It was genuinely off putting, and the meat itself was pretty bland. Super disappointing for a restaurant that is not only all about burgers, but is awfully expensive for a burger. I also had the«Smokin’ Hot Macaroni and Cheese» which was absolutely not smokin’ hot. The macaroni was so overcooked it was basically mush, and the only difference between it and the regular mac and cheese was a coating of a creamy chipotle sauce of some kind(reminded me a lot of baja sauce from Taco Bell to be honest) and a bit of pico de gallo. It was not even moderately spicy. On the upside, my wife got some sweet potato chips that were very tasty. Again, for a little pouch of chips, the price was high. Overall it was a bad experience. It wasn’t disgusting, but it also wasn’t worth as much as most fast food I’ve eaten, and was markedly worse than your average fast-casual restaurant burger. If you want a good burger, look elsewhere. I know a few places in the greater Saginaw area(Savoy Bar and Grill, Gabby’s Pub) that make a good burger for a decent price. Not sure about Birch Run though; maybe they have a local bar that makes a good burger?

I’m glad my girlfriend’s dad suggested we come here… this is another incidence where Unilocal isn’t just wrong, but far from it. We came here at 7ish on a Wednesday evening to a mostly empty restaurant inside(outside was a bit busier). Our service was fine, unlike many here are saying, and we also all really liked the food. I had a «bowl» of chili at their Detroit location and was insulted at the price, but thought it was good. Here I got a 4oz burger with bacon, a fried egg, bleu cheese, creamy Sriracha sauce, lettuce, and onion on a brioche bun. The bun was a little dry, but the burger was really surprisingly good. It was a little overcooked for my liking but I didn’t mind. They absolutely loaded my burger with the Sriracha sauce, making it the messiest burger I’ve ever eaten. They also have very good fries, which taste great dipped in their garlic buffalo sauce which, incidentally, tastes a whole lot like the Spicy Garlic sauce from BWW. The spicy macaroni and cheese was also great. I’ve found a new favorite chain restaurant, for sure. All while eating I asked myself a couple times if I was sober and I was. The only downfall of Bagger Daves is probably that it’s just a little too ovewhelming. The menu is a monster, and then they also have a create-your-own burger and fries menu. One of the best sit-down restaurants in Birch Run, and a much better experience than the BWW that shares the same building. TL;DR: Awesome food, even when sober.

This is a great choice for dinner. The food was hot when it was supposed to be hot in the beers were cold… giant portions of fries and gravy macaroni and cheese :-)I love the toasted but not too toasted sourdough bread on the sandwiches and the Burger seem pretty darn yummy as well. Don’t forget to stop at this new Birchrun restaurant the next time you are close.

I was curious to try this out so I drove here on a whim with a friend of mine. We both love food and so it wasn’t hard convincing her. Burgers… YUM. We loved our burgers. Price? Holy shit, my burger was over $ 10 and it was just for a burger. Fries are extra. Don’t get me wrong, I inhaled my burger but burgers and fries go together like salt and pepper. Service? Not impressed. Neither one of us were that impressed and we work with the public too. Waitress didn’t even approach us for about ten minutes. I understand people can get busy, but even a «sorry, I’ll be right with you» would have been a little better than the silent treatment. Asked if we had been there before and when we both said no, she just kinda shrugged and didn’t say anything else other than ask what we wanted to drink. After we finished, she pretty much threw my check at me and a check at my friend and then kinda laughed and said, «I dont even know if they are right, I just kinda threw them down.» Well, they weren’t right. And she literally did just kinda«throw them down.» Never came back to see if everything was okay during our meal either.
