Can someone please point me in the direction of a better fabric store in this area?!? I always end up here(when I don’t want to buy fabric online) but always leave frustrated(by the mess) and slightly disappointed(with the selection and organization). Though this store has friendly, chatty employees, it’s a absolute wreck in there. They have lots of empty shelves, signage that is wrong, and fabric and things just stacked and crammed everywhere. The fabric selection is also pretty bad – and who wants to dig through their messy bolts of fabric anyway? Plus, most of the stuff there doesn’t have prices clearly marked – sure the fabric bolts do, but twice I have gotten fabric there that rang up a price that was different than what it was marked. Other things like notions, beads, etc. often don’t have prices on them. I was there yesterday and there were several employees working and all I could think was«why isn’t someone trying to organize this store or clean it up?» There must be a manager that could delegate some cleaning and organizing, right? It would also be nice if they had a bell on the fabric cutting table and at the register, because despite all the employees, there is never anyone around to cut fabric or run the register when you need them. Speaking of cutting fabric, it would be nice if they had a cutting line or template at their cutting area(like some fabric stores do) – the employees cut the fabric free hand, which means I have never walked out of there with a straight cut of fabric, it’s always slanted. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the layout and poor organization of this store makes me feel crazy and uninspired, I will probably still shop there since I have yet to find another fabric store nearby.
