I’ve had these cupcakes in the past at bridal showers, etc and they were very good, but unfortunately I find the bakery closed every time I try to go in. Yesterday I drove there to find a sign on the door saying they are closed for summer except special call ahead orders.

I recently got married and rather than having a cake we decided to go with cupcakes. We had The Cupcake Café provide around 125 cupcakes for the event. They were fantastic. We chose 5 different kinds and they were all amazing. Our guests raved about them and even took some to go. The cupcakes are very large but not dry at all. Better yet they are reasonably price and the owner consulted us on which kinds were best for the season(along with the ones we chose) and provided insight into what type of cupcake stand we should purchase online. I’d highly recommend using them to cater cupcakes for large events. Good stuff.

«THEBEST» Went to a Christmas Party last night in Cambridge. There must of been 12 boxes of cupcakes from different bakeries. Everyone claiming that theirs were…“THEBEST”. So a taste test broke out… The Cupcake Café was the unanimous winner. I thought a fight was going to break out when the last Chocolate Mousse was eaten. Peanut Butter Cup, Red Velvet, and Boston Cream were all voted… Best Cupcake anyone has ever eaten!!!

We got married in Salem last week. After looking at many bakery’s in the area we settled on Cupcake Café. We choose them because we wanted cupcakes and these were the best and most beautiful! They were a great price, great quality and looked adorable! thanks again!

Cupcake Café aka Cupcake Lady/Cupcake saint! Everytime I go in I intend to get one and end up leaving with at least 3! The best dessert I have ever had. The cake part dj never dry and always the perfect texture. Unfortunately I have no words to describe the frosting, you just need to in yourself and try every single one!!! The Butter Crunch, Strawberry Shortcake, and the Lemon Chiffon are definitely my favorite. The cupcakes are huge and honestly you could share one between two people(not that I suggest that lol). It’s very rare to come across desserts that look as good as they taste, and these ones most certainly do! Monica is the friendliest lady there is; I called a few weeks ago and needed a dozen buttercream cupcakes for my work completely last minute and I called up and Monica made me a new batch within 20 minutes. There is no better service than that!!! Best thing to happen to Beverly.

Some say the cupcake craze is passé, but cupcakes are still my favorite sweet treat. Many new cupcake specialty bakeries have opened since my last review of Cupcake Café in Beverly(and I have been to them all), but this is still my go-to place for cupcakes. These are not your dainty, tiny, overly decorated, two-bite, overpriced cupcakes. These are full-sized cupcakes with a perfect topping-to-cake ratio(there’s more cake than icing), and they’re always, always fresh and moist. Most are topped with a silky buttercream or dense whipped cream(bananas foster and strawberry shortcake.) If I have a craving for cupcakes and I happen to get a bad one somewhere, I then HAVE to make a trip to Beverly because I know I won’t be disappointed.

They look amazing too. Tips: Go early– but not before 10 Bring cash– no cards accepted. Try more than one… they are all good.

This place has fantastic customer service! I called to order cupcakes for a friend who was home recovering from surgery. The person who answered the phone was incredibly patient and helpful. They were able to deliver the cupcakes on the same day for a very reasonable price and they were absolutely beautiful! My friend was thrilled. The thing that surprised me most? They sent the cupcakes with nothing more than a promise that I would pay! I was ordering from California where I live. With no questions asked they just trusted that I will throw a check in the mail and they delivered the cupcakes to my friend immediately. You really don’t find service like this very often anymore. I am a true fan for life.

I’ve worked in Beverly for the past 2 years and have been wanting to try this place for a while but every time I drive by its closed. Today it was actually open so I decided to stop in. The woman at the counter(maybe the owner?), was friendly but when I asked about some of the cupcakes she wasn’t able to really describe what each tastes like. I ended up getting 2 buttercream cupcakes(1chocolate and 1 vanilla) thinking I might as well keep it simple. The cupcakes were pretty large and had cute snowman designs on them. However when I tried eating them the cake itself was dry and the buttercream frosting was very greasy, heavy, and overly sweet. It almost tastes like a typical cupcake you would find at Stop and Shop. Not a fan. Also at $ 3.20/cupcake I think they should be the most delicious cupcakes ever, they missed the mark on these.

Bring cash and go early, because when she’s out of cupcakes she’s closed for the day. She also makes different cupcakes on different days as well, and there isn’t a set flavor she makes on a set day. I would recommend calling ahead to see what she has — she will put cupcakes aside for you if you are planning on heading down to pick them up, and they are definitely worth the trip. The store is a little hard to miss on the street — the sign is above the doorway and not very big, but if you are even a little bit of a cupcake enthusiast, and anywhere near the area, you should definitely check this bakery out.

Best cupcakes I’ve ever had — hands down. I’ve lived in NYC and currently live in Boston, but it is certainly worth the trek to Beverly to enjoy these delicious creations! Fan faves include: lemon chiffon, boston crème, chocolate mouse, chocolate turtle, red velvet. Ok — you really can’t go wrong — they’re all so tasty. It’s more of a to-go place rather than sit-in café. I’ve never had anything but attentive, friendly service here! Call ahead and they are happy to put aside your selections for you — which is probably a good idea — because these cupcakes go fast!

I stopped in on a Saturday and picked up a box of cupcakes. When I walked in, there was a woman standing at the counter who sold me the cupcakes. Throughout my entire exchange with her, I had the feeling that I was inconveniencing her just by coming into the shop to buy cupcakes. She was vague in her explanations of the product(when I asked her to explain the lemon chiffon cupcake, she said«well, it’s just lemon chiffon…») and very unenthusiastic about sale. She also handled the cupcakes with her bare hands(no paper barrier or plastic gloves) If I had seen her just wash her hands and handle them, that would have been fine, but I saw her handling cupcakes and then handling cash right afterwards… not very sanitary to me. The cupcakes themselves were nothing special. They were larger in size, definitely shareable, which I appreciated. However, the frosting tasted greasy, and left a film of something(shortening maybe?) as an aftertaste. For the most part, the cake was pretty dry. The«swirly» cupcake was the best of the selection I got… it was substantial in size, the cake was moist, and the filling was yummy. However, it wasn’t good enough to make me return; I think I’ll get my cupcakes elsewhere.

After reading some people raving about this place here I decided to give it a try. The woman behind the counter was rude, but I was stood true to my decision and brought back home assorted cupcakes, so I would get a taste of each one. I wasn’t impressed at all. Not just the cupcakes didn’t taste good, but the frosting was horrible, greasy and I it literally left a bad taste in my mouth. If you want to eat some quality cupcakes, do yourself a favor and go to Cakes 4 occasions, in Danvers. ;)

Let me start by saying, I love cupcakes, most places sell subpar cupcakes that I can make better at home. Well, not these! These are incredibly delicious! If I weren’t trying to lose a few pounds I would go once a week! We got about 3 dozen cupcakes with Pirate faces on it for my son’s birthday party! The owner did an awesome job with them and everyone raved about them! I then got some for my husbands birthday, his favorite is the Boston Cream cupcakes. I enjoy the Peanut Butter ones. Heck, they are all awesome! Reasonably priced too. Hmm. .. It’s been a couple of months since I have been, maybe I’ll go this week for one or maybe two!

Heaven in a cake! On my gosh these are divine. I had the amazing fluffernutter cupcake. It was filled with gooey fluff and had this amazing homemade non greasy peanut butter frosting. My sister had the bananas foster and her boyfriend had the boston cream pie. We all were raving about them. This is so worth a drive down Rantoul street.

This is another one of those places that I’m sad to see tucked away on Rantoul ST. Nothing against Rantoul but this place would do better on Cabot, though the prices would be higher. The cupcakes are great! Fun flavors, I just wolfed down a Boston Cream that was great and I’ve got a few others waiting in the fridge waiting for the Birthday girl to come home. I’ve had their Carrot Cake cupcake before and it was great. I really wish this place had room for seating and some hot coffee. The area for seating is just not adequate for sitting around for more than 2 or 3 minutes and lets face it when summer comes do you want to hang around outside on Rantoul? Not so much. Don’t get me wrong, I love my ‘hood but if I want to sit around and people watch the hipsters on Cabot are FAR more amusing than sad drunks stumbling out of CrysPys. Pricing is great, cupcakes are great, building could use work, and the area is well, Rantoul. Get your cupcakes to go and head to one of Beverly’s many great parks and watch some hipsters.(also bring cash, I’m pretty sure this place is cash only!)

Behind a non-descript storefront on a street in Beverly, you’ll find a magical kitchen baking my favorite treats! These cupcakes are as beautiful as they are delicious! The Cupcake Café makes over 60 different types of cupcakes and serves up 8 – 10 varieties each day. The only accept cash and ask that if you plan to buy more than 6, you pre-order so there’ll be enough for everyone. Their official hours are«open until we run out of cupcakes» so get there early in the day for the best variety. The vanilla and chocolate buttercream are beautifully topped with gorgeous frosting flowers. Other varieties, such as raspberry mousse or chocolate mousse have the tops cut off and are filled with a generous serving of said mousse. The raspberry mousse was rich, creamy and made from fresh raspberries — not just flavoring. The vanilla cupcake was perfectly moist and delicious. The chocolate mousse(I stole a finger full) was also rich, thick and chocolatey delicious. The cupcakes were a bit pricey, at $ 3.25 per cupcake, but they are big, so the price is more reasonable than what you’d get for your money at other cupcake bakeries downtown. And the ladies are super sweet and willing to talk cupcakes with you for hours!
