Half Baked started as one of our favorite grab a quick breakfast type place. Their egg sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had, something about how the egg is cooked and then an english muffin with the mustard YUM. The donuts are very good as well… I’ve tried many of them! We then considered them as our baker for our wedding cupcakes. In a taste test against 4 other local places, they sure did come out on top winning in taste and price. Yes, we tasted 5 different cupcakes…1 vanilla and 1 chocolate from 5 different places! Kelly was a pleasure to work with. She quickly filled my order and made the cupcakes exactly the way we wanted. Our guests commented that they were VERY good. She also made us a 6in ‘naked’ bride and groom cake, just the way I wanted. Our order arrived the day of our wedding on time and everything looked and tasted great! She had great suggestions for how many to order based on guest count and how the cupcakes needed to be stored before the wedding started. I appreciated that. I highly recommend Half Baked for wedding cupcakes and of course for breakfast food!

Absolutely delicious! I had a TBA Sandwich and she had the Winter Salad + tomato soup. Very good café; we hungrily stumbled upon it as Cygnet across the street was not open. What a great surprise! Our food was ready very quickly and we happily sat on bar stools in the window to watch the Beverly Farms passers-by. I noted they had a maple bacon donut, but we hardly need an excuse to come back!

Amazing breakfast sandwiches. Amazing baked goods, especially the really unique variety of donut flavors. Their coffee hits the spot as well. While it can get busy on a weekend morning it is definitely worth the wait.

My experience at half baked, in short terms, was delicous. For lunch, I had the grilled cheese with bacon. At 8 dollars, it is a little expensive(6 wo/bacon), but it is absolutely worth every penny. Why? The sandwich was piled high with cheddar and Munster cheese, on freshly baked bread. The bacon was thin cut and fresh, and the combination created a beautiful mix of sweet and savory. I accompanied this dish with some barbecue chips and a lemonade, both of which were from independent companies. Next, I got the double chocolate donut. At Half Baked, they have a special way of cooking donuts: they half bake them and then fry their donuts. This creates a delicious, moist, sharp(in the best way possible) texture that is resemblant of a chocolate bunt cake. The frosting was homemade and absolutely fantastic. I would recommend this to anybody who wants a delicous lunch or treat.

Still sitting here and could not wait to write this review! Was a little disappointed at first to see that they stop breakfast at 11am but the woman who seems to own the place suggested a salmon pastrami special sandwich. It was DELICIOUS! Everything from the smoked salmon to the homemade… I repeat homemade english muffin. Best ive ever had. The egg was cooked to perfection. I highly suggest anyone in a reasonable driving distance to try this place out! I will definitely be back even though i live in boston. Thanks for a great lunch!

Come early as I almost left b/c I really wanted to try the Yardie bird and they were already out at 2pm. I just got the grilled cheese which was literally oozing w/cheese. And my husband got their Supah Beef Kehd and it was amazing and I don’t like roast beef… I had a coupon so I need to buy 1 more thing so I asked what their best donut was(as I thought one of their cupcakes was a bit too much)…so she said from what was left the raspberry lemonade was the best… I don’t know the last time I had a donut, but this thing was unreal!!! A nice light donut w/awesome flavor. I’m SO pisssed that I tried it(not good for the waistline)…as I want to go back and get it again… I will most definitely be returning to try the Yardie Bird… and I’m sure my total lack of will power will end in me getting the Raspberry Lemonade Donut… The establishment itself is tiny and only has a few seats and then a couple of high top seats as well. But as long as it’s not super busy you can grab a seat. Or just take it to go to the beach right down the street.

Visited the store on Saturday, 10/24/2015. Me and my wife and son love to drive around to new places and sample their goods, usually very happy. Not here. Store very small, which is fine, but the five doughnuts we purchased were very disappointing. Flavorless and dry; actually threw out two of them. Coffee tasted burnt. Maybe they were having a bad day or the people who love it just have no taste. If you want the best, go to Union Square Donuts in Somerville.

Great stop! Great appeal, great, and fast friendly service. We were just getting an iced tea but I couldn’t resist and got a cinnamon cake doughnut… delicious!

Methinks this review will honor the very essence of Half Baked: tiny, but mighty. Most everything at Half Baked is made in house: sauces, dressings, sandwich breads, and meats(that is, meat is cured or smoked in-house. Anyone who«makes meat» better not be doing it in a bakery café). To this end, expect random specials like Mediterranean lamb sandwiches, or a late-breaking contender for Sandwich of the Year: the Koreuben. Incredibly tender house-corned beef, kimchi, Swiss cheese, «Korean dressing» on house-baked seeded rye. It. Is. AMAZING. Just when you thought $ 10.50 is a pretty penny for an a la carte ‘wich, the first bite will release the flavor beast. Maple bacon donut has more bacon than a side of bacon. I don’t know how it’s possible, but they make magic, so I’m not asking questions. Half Baked is a must-visit when in Beverly Farms.

pretty dissapointed with the taste of the donuts. I got the chocolate raised; the frosting tasted like vegetables and the donut itself was kinda meh. The french cruller(which I usually love in general), was too dry. When honey dew has french crullers, I’d much rather get them there. boyfriend tried the mudslide coffee. He said he’d rather pay for the cumberland farms $ 1 coffee. All in all, pretty disappointing. Also, they didn’t take Amex, but they do have a liquor license(isn’t that like $ 100,000?). Didn’t make sense to me, especially since it’s in such an affluent neighborhood not to take amex. Parking was atrocious – there was none. I did like the patio seating area. Very comfy adirondack chairs. Will I return? Nah.

it was a great little shop. I thought it was Cassis bakery, but this is a proper eatery with many different selections to choose from. I didn’t have time to eat, but bought a GF cookie, which was good!(And took a pic of the menu board even though you can find a full one online) Great service with a smile, clean establishment, and cute! Food looked super.

This place is very good. It could be on it’s way to five stars in my book. My friends enjoyed their sandwiches and I enjoyed my Monkey Bread. The real star was the Rhubarb Square. I could never make something this delicious, primarily because I can’t bake, but also because I don’t think I know what Rhubarb looks like. We all agreed it was delicious. The woman at the counter was super-friendly.

Stopped in on a late weekend afternoon for some quick food. Place was empty, little, and with definite character. Most of the character came from the super charismatic(and quick-talkin) staff. They have an interesting selection of donuts, desserts/cupcakes, and food. We started off with an orange creamcycle donut that we shared. It was pretty great. Not crazy sweet and hit the spot. We shared a kale salad, which was surprisingly nice — good assortment of fresh ingredients, well mixed, a good size, and very reasonable for the price. I had a burger, which I quite enjoyed — nothing crazy about it, but a very solid, flavorful burger. Quite a tasty bun, which can make all the difference. Nice place — we’ll definitely be back

Friendly, helpful and knowledgable is probably why this great little place is so highly rated. Sandwiches were amazing. Roast beef and Red Flannel Hash, oh yeah baby! Clean and bright dining area overlooking the Main Street.

Delicious! I do miss the breakfast tacos though! The breakfast sandwiches are good but heavy! Everything coming out of that kitchen is wonderful! Great staff and atmosphere!

I have never been so disrespected as a customer. I was in line waiting to order. When the woman came to the counter and asked what I wanted I started to speak and she looked at me and said do you care if I help the people behind you? I figured they were regulars so I said ok. They then asked a question that a regular would know. I was so aggravated that the woman who works there with the short blond hair acted like I was nothing that I walked out. I will never go back to this establishment. If you want to be treated like you are nothing and you are not good enough to eat at this café I recommend it. If you want real service and want to be treated like a real person keep driving until you find the next bakery.

Bacon donut. With bacon throughout, maple icing and bacon bits on top. I may expand this review later, but I’m pretty stuck on the bacon donut right now. I mean really– if the execution on a bacon donut is so good… I pretty much can’t believe that anything here could be really BAD. I both bless and curse those that introduced me to Half Baked. I’ll be back. Many times.

wow this place is great! the place is a good size for a bakery and it’s well designed. it feels bright and relaxing inside. seems like the owners thought out every aspect of the design. i got both the raisin and raspberry orange scones($ 2.75). they were big and weren’t too sweet, which is a plus b/c i don’t want a sugar bomb. i also got the Dusty Bottom egg breakfast taco($ 4.50). it was okay but it didn’t feel like a breakfast item for me personally. the North Country Hen egg and ham sandwich with arugula was great though($ 6). the lady working the front was very polite and helpful and the place was very well kept. i would recommend this place.

I would eat at Half Baked every day if I lived closer. Chef White’s inventive menu, full of inspired and imaginative cuisine has never disappointed. The baked goods are out of this world, and they’re nut free too! I may come in for a quick sandwich, but I always end up leaving with a loaf or two of bread and at least a half dozen cupcakes. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the porcetta and supah beef kehd are highlights that shouldn’t be skipped. The Samoa cupcakes never even make the ride home, they’re that good! If you ever open a half baked on the south shore, you have a customer for life!
