The Owner (Teri) is such a lovely lady. We were in town for a night for our friends baby’s Briss, and we had no time to run out to get a gift. She personally picked out, and hand wrapped an amazing/​ELEGANT gift !
She was even able to run it over to our hotel, so we didn’t have to leave. Talk about great service! Our gift was a big hit.
Anytime were in LA and need a baby gift this is where we will be going!

I was browsing online for a baby gift for my cousin’s daughter and came across The Elegant Child of Beverly Hills. I gave them a call and surprisingly enough the owner answered the phone (which usually I am forwarded to a call center for my online orders). Teri was so nice and gave me an amazing idea for a gift, I ended up ordering a gorgeous Little Giraffe plush blanket with a matching hooded towel and burp cloth and had Teri add a few extras for a gorgeous gift basket. The custom embroidery with her name was a steal at only $ 22 in a day and literally shipped to cousin and his wife the next day!!! They text me pics of the gift and the wrapping and presentation was absolutely beautiful, even a hand written card! I will def order all of my shore gifts from EC.

Name of the store sounds elegant and over priced items! Sophie the girrafe cost 24 plus shipping tax etc costing us 31 $. U can order the exact same giraffe for 17 $ from amazon or just shop at your local toys r us. Nothing elegant about the Sophie they are selling its just exact same rubber girrafe everyone else is offering! Return is so hard with elegant child you have to request the form and wait if they approve and then send the item back just to get a no response for months! Customer service person Teri Weiss is really rude and thinks 24 dollars is «just only 24 $» It’s hard earned money for most of us just because you wrk at Beverly hills store doesn’t make u… whatever u think. I’m so dissapointed and will never do business with again! I wouldnt recommend this store to anyone else not just because I had bad experience with them just because their items are over priced regular items u can get from anywhere else!

We found this place by complete accident on Unilocal dince the owner foes mot have a store front .Teri the owner is so nice and accommodating. She even gift wraps for you. Make sure you call before you come since it is by appointment only. She custom makes and embroiders specialty gifts.

Looks like you have to call ahead. The addy listed was a diff store. A shipping type store that rhymes with UBS.
Either that or the gps is on the fritz.
Tad of a hassle if I say so myself… Well we will try again sometime.

The owner is AMAZING! You can tell that she puts her heart and soul in all that she does. Five stars!

FYI, they are by appointment only.
I haven’t been to this shop, although the merchandise looks nice online and I’ve heard good things about it. I tried to stop in on a Saturday afternoon, as hours are listed as 11 – 5 pm. However, I couldn’t find the store, and when I called, I was told they are open by appointment only. Just FYI. I was hoping to buy a baptism gift, but I’m not sure I’m willing to make an appointment to do so.

I have many friends with babies and became an Auntie just a few years ago. It’s very difficult to find quality baby gifts and know the appropriate things to purchase. The staff at The Elegant Child have been such a blessing. They are both passionate and talented at finding the perfect gift and the quality is incredible! I’ve referred this store to many friends and business colleagues and they have been extremely appreciative and overwhelmed by the service and attention to detail. It’s a hidden gem.

Teri is wonderful… I decided to send a present to my friend’s niece in Russia. I asked Teri to please embroider a Little Giraffe Blanket with her name… in Russian. Teri was happy to help and the blanket is gorgeous. I am on the East Coast so everything was handled via e-​mail/​phone call and everything was perfect.

I needed a baby gift, so I called this boutique and made an appointment with the owner, Teri Weiss. When I arrived, she quickly greeted me and welcomed me into her boutique. She then asked me what type of gift I was looking for and showed me a variety of different options. She was very easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. I was so relaxed, I felt like I was talking to one of my girlfriends. After choosing a gift, Teri took the time to carefully wrap my gift, making sure everything was perfect. She truly knows how to give her customers a wonderful shopping experience.

While I have been mistaken for Victoria Beckham MANY a time (go ahead, ill give you time to snicker… laugh even), I don’t typically shop with the Beverly Hills set. Don’t know… maybe I would if I lived in So. Cal, but being from Alameda, things are a bit more low key. That being said, we were fortunate enough to mail order a «Sophie the Giraffe» from this location, and I have to say I was VERY impressed. You heard me, I said MAIL ORDER! So why 5 stars?
Well, first, the shipping was exceedingly prompt. It is clear to me that as soon as the order was received, it was wrapped up, and sent on its way! And I love that! But moreover, I also received a tidy little package. Small box, appropriately sized for the item, with the little box inside neatly wrapped in tissue. And in addition to that, a business card and a sweet little handwritten note on sweet little stationery, thanking me for my purchase.
I sincerely feel that if a simple mail order experience was as good as all this, the store is most certainly worth visiting, and any orders via the website will undoubtedly be expedited and shipped carefully and thoughtfully.
If I wore hats, I would say «hats off» to The Elegant Child of Beverly Hills, and a great big hug and a kiss from The Drooly Child of Alameda. (that would be the teething son).

Your baby is seriously deprived if you dont register here. Everything for the chic baby. Everything can be monogrammed and they specialize in personalized blankets and velour baby robes. All the best brands: Sophie the Giraffe, Walcot Weavers, Fattamano, Mustela, etc. Many celeb moms have shopped here or received gifts from here, and the owner is a wonderful and fun lady and she takes so much pride in her work!
