Romantic place to eat dinner. We ate outside. Service fabulous. Food fabulous. Light and healthy menu and everything came out fast. A must go.

It was a perfect setting for a group of girls. Not too loud. Perfect lighting. Local Beverly Hills joint(an older crowd). Food was pretty decent. Our favorite was clearly the Sweet Corn Agnolotti Mascarpone with truffle butter. Dear oh dear, that was so darn good. It was so good that we ended up ordering 3 orders of it(for a group of 6 girls). But there is one minor negative… The portions were ridiculously small per plate. I mean, even with 3 orders of that sweet corn dish, we each barely had 3 – 4 bites each. Look, as my friend, Candice, aptly pointed it. This ain’t Bucca di Beppo and I’m not comparing it to Cheesecake Factory or anything like that. But I’ve eaten at many fine dining places, and even based on that, I gotta say, the plates are really, really small. Just saying… be prepared.

My wife won a gift certificate for this place at a fundraising auction. The food and service was exquisite. Best dishes were fried squash blossoms, fresh corn pasta and butterscotch pudding.

Yup… 5 stars! This place is so good! I’m not a big fan of Italian food nor do I ever crave it, but that’s because most Italian restaurants don’t taste like this. The boo’s family took me and my sister here for dinner. There’s valet parking and the restaurant is pretty small, but cozy. You definitely need to make reservations here. We arrived around 6pm and the place was empty. Around 7:15ish is when everyone and their mom started showing up and filling up all the tables. We started out with some red wine and polenta with some kind of mushroom Marsala sauce on top. Man was that amazing! Mmm! I ordered the Risotto with peppers and Dungeness Crab and my sister ordered the Potato Gnocchi with Maine lobster. Both cost around $ 25 and portions are pretty small, makes you wish they put just a tad bit more on the plate. Both entrees were very delicious! The boo ordered the grilled langoustine which was so buttery and soft. This place isn’t cheap, but the food is definitely worth the hefty price tag.

Edo Baldi has good food overall, the place is very sceny with starlets jumping in for a quick lunch or Italian-reality personalities stopping by to visit friends or having lunches with secret encounters. The food is much better for lunch than for dinner. Lunch is still pricey but they give you a better quality food than restaurants Across the street. You can choose among fresh fishes or home-made pasta. The dinner is way too pricey for the quality of the food. Basically the quality of the food is way below of what they charge for it, too overpriced for sure. The service is so-so. The hostesses are usually rude Italians wannabe models, with language barriers, the servers some are good if they are older, the younger ones look like spoiled Italian kids. Overall it is acceptable to go here once in a while for lunch as an Italian living in L.A.

Lovely lunch at E Baldi. Great company, sunshine and Dover sole make for the perfect LA afternoon! Fortunate to have tried many items on the menu, nothing disappointed. I have no problems recommending this place. Good, service and setting are top notch.

Let’s start with the hostess. I wanted to walk out as soon as she opened her mouth. Arrogant and rude. For what reason I don’t know. You’re a hostess not the owner. And even if you are the owner, shame on you for treating people so bad. Customer service is horrible. Felt rushed the whole time. Waiter even said” can you place your order all at once, we are busy and it’s easier for the kitchen that way”. I’m sorry since when is it a customers job to make sure their accommodating to the kitchen? You are already paying an arm and a leg for your meal. Why should you be rushed? Portions are small. Food is tasty. Had a pasta, pizza and fish and all were great. Soon as the check arrived, the hostess was quick to jump to ask us if it was ready. Location is very small and cramped. Honestly, I’d much rather go to Il Pastaio or anywhere else than to deal with their attitudes.

One of my favorite local spots. Food is AMAZING and the servers are very nice. My favorites are: the corn mini ravioli, butternut squash ravioli, truffle pizza, NY steak, langoustines, octopus carpaccio. When you get there have some patience. The hostess that usually works the night shift isn’t the nicest… Just be nice and you will be seated as soon as she feels like it. If it wasn’t for the grumpy welcome committee, E. Baldi would have gotten a 5 star from me. I know a good amount of people who dine here and feel the same.

E Baldi breaks through the single chef’s reign over the Italian restaurant scene of Beverly Hills. The bright and chic décor invites you to a classy meal with a yet homey feeling. The menu boasts everything from your everyday classics to unique interpretations of dishes not seen in your run-of-the-mill places. I started my meal off with a caraffa of the Sangiovese, but unfortunately when the wine was brought out it had a very stale nose. Alas, despite my mention to the server, I was assured that this is how Sangiovese was suppose to perfume. Perfume of rankness and mildew, instead of cherry, plum, floral undertones, and perhaps a bit of strawberry. Regardless, the very gracious server offered to take it back, but would not open a new bottle. Thus I went with a different varietal, a Brunello, if I’m not mistaken. Which hit all the right notes. The meal consisted of Beef Carpaccio, served under a layer of cheese. I have never seen it presented that way, and although a bit odd, quite tasty. Perhaps it could have used a touch of acid to break through the richness. Burrata with basil pesto and roasted tomatoes, was as good as at any other place, boasting great flavors. However, the Rigatoncini with pancetta, tomato, onion & chili pepper did not excite one bit. Everything competed on the plate and although on paper the dish should have been a hit on the palate it just didn’t work. Nor did the Napoleon for the dessert, which may have been the biggest disappointment of the night. Simply underwhelming. And so the overall meal was a far cry from a five star experience, but nevertheless this is a place I will return to for the atmosphere, the carpaccio and some other creations yet to be invented. At the very least, to try a newly opened bottle of the Sangiovese

A lot of people say that E Baldi Does not compare to Georgio Baldi… I will agree as far as atmosphere. But food and service is impeccable. The sliced New York steak is one Of the best Steaks in town. I had the seasonal Chesapeake Soft shell crabs … Unreal. Never had better. The wine selection Is outstanding … I had a great Pinot Noir for 106.00 … And the langostino Spicy penne pasta is a classic. Here is a restaurant where you Can throw a dart at the menu And you’ll be fine.

Not the best Italian in La! Food was just ok. Nothing special and I had to add some salt and paper to our octopus appetizer which it was totally tasteless. Well the restaurant locations was nice, even though so small and noisy. Not a great place to go for relaxing time or date. Even though I wasn’t in a date we couldn’t hear each other talking. Nothing special about this restaurant.

We went to E Balde Ristorante for a business lunch. Needless to say, the client picked the establishment and even though it was Beverly Hills, it did not look like an outrageous sum of money from the outside to dine there. Boy was I wrong! :( It is Beverly Hills, period, with Beverly Hills prices. The rating I gave it is overall experience. Food, Service, bang for buck. On the food, it was five stars! It was absolutely spot on perfect! We had our salad to start and it was OK, nothing special. The bread was served with their fresh tomato mix and this was good, but not enough tomato mix. We ordered the NY Strip. We were not asked how we would like it cooked. For people who do not know, you should never have to ask how you want your steak cooked as there is only one way and it is not well done :) LOL The NY Steak came already pre-sliced and it melted in your mouth. The seasoning was simple, but perfect! The sides of Spinach and Roasted potatoes had enough seasoning and cooked to perfection! The Panna Cotta with Strawberry’s was fresh and divine! The portions were absolutely perfect! The service was ok. Their seemed to be some bickering among the staff in their native language and that was a distraction and not needed, especially in a smaller room. Now, the bang for buck. Sticker shock time! For water and a soda, $ 12! For a simple green salad with nothing extra nor large in portion, $ 12 each! The NY Strip was $ 44 each. The Panna Cotta was $ 15 each. For a grand total of $ 167.86. This is with no tip. With tip, we were at $ 197! In summation, if you have disposable income that you do not care about or the bang for buck, E Baldi absolutely deserves your business. The food is awesome! If you want bang for buck, especially in Beverly Hills, go a mile away to ‘The Stinking Rose’ Good food for half the price.

you know every movie that makes fun restaurants in the 80s… that is what this is. More of a place to be seen than anything, We started to order a starter before the meal… and we were told that we could not do that… as. It would upset the chef. The server would come back when we ready to order everything at once.(Well. I don’t want to upset the chef). One of the folks at the table asked for a simple change in a dish… also told that may upset the chef… so…no… The food… was ok… it’s what you think. Small portions… they had white truffle that day… so if you wanted that sprinkled on your entre that would be an extra $ 125.00 added to the price.(Per). We passed… just lived with the common black truffle it came with… I did find that the nastier I was to the wait staff the better service I got…(I love that) Not sure I have to go back anytime soon… unless I am looking for a laugh and take the piss out of the Hollywood of days gone by… Not cheap… but not crazy… go…have fun… order the ravioli… don’t upset the chef…

Tonight I went to a dinner at E Baldi with some friends. I’m the type of person who would get pasta if there was pasta on the menu. Well tonight, it was time for a change. I got the delectable Pan seared sockeye salmon, on top of grilled endive in a lemon herb sauce. I love anything zesty and that was absolutely incredible! If you go and they have it, it’s a must!!!

I don’t know how this place only has three stars! I went in last week and had a lovely experience. The bring this wonderful bread with tomatoes and olive oil. For my entrée I shared the carpaccio, an assortment of thinly sliced fish with greens on top. We also shared the langostine salad, which was tender and sweet with farro. The place was packed so I do recommend you make a reservation. Service was a bit slow but overall I loved the food and the vibe. I’ll be back.

Had dinner with my fiancé and her mom. I made a reservation earlier that day with no problem. We were running 30 minutes late and I called them on the way which was okay as well. I was surprised given it was a saturday night. I grew up in BH, and have been eating at every other italian spot on Canon since I can remember. E Baldi is the one restaurant I had been meaning to go to, but just hadn’t gone until recently. It is a small restaurant, and the the décor isn’t as cozy as the other places in the area. The service in the beginning was a bit off. The waiter did not make his first visit until 10 minutes after we had been seated. It did improve as the night progressed. We ordered the angolatti and the pomodoro spaghetti as starters. Both pastas were amazing. The angolatti was so delicate and had an amazing truffle essence. The spaghetti pomodoro was very simple, but had such an amazing home made taste. My lady’s mom said it was the best she has ever had. I had the Baked rombo with sauteed artichokes and mushrooms as my main. The flavor of the fish was very delicate and mild, while the mushroom and artichokes added a lot of flavor. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars if it weren’t for the lack of service, the price of the dishes, and casual décor.
