By far the worst Chinese food we have ever had. I ordered sesame chicken, pork fried rice, egg rolls and fried dumplings. The chicken was nice, plump, white meat chicken however it was soggy and covered in a thin sweet sauce that did NOT taste like a traditional sesame chicken. The dumplings were soggy as well and seriously lacking in flavor and the accompanying sauce for the dumplings was horrible and tasted watered down. The pork fried rice had generous chunks of pork and onions, no other veggies and it was made with a short grain rice which was mushy and pretty flavorless. The egg rolls were not greasy and very crispy which was nice, the filling was good but again, it lacked flavor. I’m not sure about these 5 star reviews? I ordered from here based on their Unilocal reviews and for the first time, I am seriously doubting the authenticity of these reviews. Also, the poor children«working» in there were huddled in winter jackets because it was colder in the store than it is outside! For goodness sake, if you are going to have your 4 young children working there, taking orders, ringing up, answering the phones, at least get them a space heater so they aren’t freezing!

I left my house with every intention of grabbing some Taco Bell on the way to a movie theater. Unbeknownst to me, and to my surprise, I drove right by what used to be the site of my local Taco Bell. What a lucky break. I turned into the shopping center adjacent to the empty lot, knowing that there are a few restaurants there including a little Chinese takeout that I had been to before. Look at the menu, almost like a reflex was going to get general tso’s chicken dinner special. I like a lot of other things too, but rarely two places know how to make them really well. Then for some reason, I change my mind and got the Kung Po Gai Din. Even this was fateful, because this entry on the menu had two choices: the other was not spicy chicken with cashew nuts. After all that, I ate, nay wolfed down, Undoubtedly the best Kung Po Gai Din the world has ever seen. I mean wow! Took a little longer to make than I’m used to at little takeouts, and I was wondering about this considering it was late and there were no other customers. But again wow! I can still taste the savory chunks of chicken with vegetables all crunchy with just the right amount of spice. The rice was phenomenal and the sauce, a masterpiece. How in the world have I lived so long without experiencing this Gai Din before. I know it won’t be long before I’m back for another taste. Bravo talented chef.
