North Shore L I J System Lab

Went here this morning for some routine blood tests. I had to fast before hand, so I hit this place early, about 715. There were quite a number of people who were already there and waiting. The clerk on duty was pretty poor, didn’t give any directions to take the paperwork to fill out. I sat down and then observed other people took a clipboard and papers from her desk to fill in. Weird set up! I went up and asked, and only then did she give me the necessary forms to fill in. She got so behind the technician on duty (turned out he drew the blood, and was actually a physician from Haiti) came out and organized the waiting people and got the paperwork straightened out.
When I got called, that technician was fabulous. I have had some REALLY bad experiences in getting blood taken in the past. I’m told my veins are VERY small. He was talking to me, and before I knew it I was DONE. I felt NOTHING. He was terrific!
Aside from the clerk, I would DEFINITELY recommend this lab. Best blood drawing EVER!
