They recently underwent a renovation and it is a million times better than before! Massage chairs, hardwood floors, sterilized equipment, new technicians. It’s never been busy when I’ve gone and the women was always very pleasant and made polite conversation. Manicure+ Pedicure was $ 40 which I felt was very reasonable. Worth a try! I usually walk but there is almost always street parking available right outside the salon.

Okay, this is definitely not a luxurious salon by ANY means, but the older man that is always there does an awesome job. He takes a long time, but my gel manicures have never chipped when he has done them. Don’t bother with a pedicure… the chairs are regular chairs(not massage/reclining chairs), and it’s not very relaxing. However, the prices are excellent for Bethesda, and despite the owners speaking almost no English, they’ve done a great job on gel nails the 10+ times I’ve been there.

its unfortunate I can’t give no stars. This place is disgusting. I got a manicure because it was only $ 12 and empty. I was skeptical about how sanitary the implements were they came from a mystery drawer. The salon staff were rude, and demanded money before they even put a color on. The polish was done very sloppy and literally just piled on. I was so relieved to get out, I didn’t care how jacked up my nails looked. Will never EVER go back there. Don’t do it. DONOTDOIT!!!

I went in for a simple eyebrow wax, which was performed fast and unceremoniously, with me seated UPRIGHT in a chair. What’s worse, midway through, the gentleman waxer dripped a glob of hot wax into my hair, which his wife wrestled out with an oil-soaked cotton ball. Ruinously bad.

I went there for several weeks on Thursdays at the same time while my daughter took a class across the street. One would think they would recognize me after the first couple of times, right? Nope! Every time I walked in was like they had never seen me. Both people working there can barely speak English and do a horrible job at costumer service. The quality of the service they provide is as bad as their customer service. I found myself«prepping» my nails before walking in. Really??? I shouldn’t have to do that! In addition to that, their polish selection is poor. I had to spend several minutes trying to figure out which color would look less tacky. I was also a bit bothered by the lack of hygiene. Most place I have been, they have their tools in a sterilizer. NOTHERE! They quickly spray the stuff they use on your nails before using it on you. YUCK! I went back several times because of the price, but last week was it for me! I got a manicure and as I waited for the nails to dry and did some texting, the lady decided that I was ready to leave. She grabbed my coat, told me I was ready, and opened the door for me to exit the place. WHAT??? I was thoroughly insulted!!! I had paid(with a good, undeserved, tip) and the place was empty as always. There was only another person there. Why in the heck was she kicking me out??? In any case, I wish I could give this place less than one star!!! Take a look at the majority of the reviews and you’ll see that you should NOT go there!!! Pay the extra few bucks and get treated with respect and professionalism.

My mother has been going here for ages and recently, I made the switch and don’t know why the reviews are negative. Very satisfied with the pedicures of both nail techs. My toes look great. The service is efficient and excellent. Not too rushed, not too slow. Go to catherine nails– you won’t regret it!

I went for a pedicure and was severely disappointed. The massage chairs didn’t work and the lady who was going my pedicure didn’t really want to work either. I got no foot massage, she barely rubbed in the lotion. The whole pedicure was done in under 10 minutes, and pedicures are not something I like to rush through. The nails looked okay but she only did 2 coats total which explains why the chipped already. Even though it is cheap, not worth it.

Walk-ins welcome, so on impulse I stopped in to get my shredded gel set removed. Small shop with three pedi spa chairs, two mani counters, and a wax warmer on the sill. Offerings to spirits by the door next to four waiting chairs. Color choices are pretty limited outside of the red/purple series. The moisturizing massage was limited to my hands only. Base, double color, and top coats took about 40 minutes total, though I watched the base and top laid on as partial coverage. Thanks to the dual mini-fans, my skin felt parched as a desert when I left. Aesthetic shaping choices were a bit questionable. Twisting of fingers as he went was painful. The technician didn’t paint down all my tips, and his attention to smooth borders ended up making my mani look several days old from the get-go. Two and a half stars. The moments of English I got the entire time were«Can I help you?» «Pedicure too?» «Go wash your hands around the corner,» and«5 for removing and 10 for manicure. You tip him in cash, yes?» The rest was a lot of gesturing. Pricing is posted right outside the door, but the sign about cash-only tips is on the back mirror. With three or four other nail salons in a half-mile radius, I think I’ll be looking elsewhere despite this economical and personally convenient location by the park.

I’ve been here for several brow waxes and a couple of manicures. My thoughts: Since this isn’t a crowded spot, this is a great place to go if you’re in a rush. They take credit cards too, which is convenient and unexpected for a small outfit like this. The brow waxing is ok, but I go for the convenience and price($ 10). Excess tweezing is needed because they don’t always apply the wax properly. I was satisfied with my manicures. They’ve lasted 7+ days, which I cannot say for some other salons in the area, and they did a free touch up for me. Staff is friendly, quick and prices are right, so I’ll be back even though it’s not the greatest.
