The excellent reputation is undeserved. The domestic program here is happy to take your money(They took ours for three years) but does not work hard to find birth mothers. At a recent meeting with 22 families they were working with less than 10 mothers. I estimate the chances of a placement were less than 25% per year(if half the families attended the meeting). Ask for all the facts if you have to work with Barker… they were not forthcoming with a lot of statistics. I view Barker as a welfare program for(lazy) social workers.
