I believe it takes time to find a great stylist but I was lucky to find one off my first try. Anaieta is an amazing stylist and has helped me get the style I want! She has dyed my hair a different color each visit. She never seems to disappoint. I’m always satisfied with my hair color. I didn’t always know exactly what color I wanted but she would listen to me and get the style I was going for. Anaieta is very talented and I highly recommend her.

I’ve been going to Anieta for several years, following her after she left Pabo Salon. She is superb. I routinely get hair cuts, hair color and highlights from her. Whenever I leave the salon, I get compliments on my hair. I highly recommend Anieta.

Hidden gem, a must try! Anaieta (pronounced Anita) is the best!!! She listens to you carefully and then makes you look fabulous! Her talent is endless and she genuinely cares about every one of her clients/​friends. Anaieta treats all of her clients like family/​friends and makes great suggestions.
Products used are high end, such as Redken products and argan oil to protect your hair. Service is superior and out of this world! Prices are more than affordable!
I absolutely recommend this place without reservations. Ask for Anaieta, she’s the one and only!

I’ve been coming here for years and have yet to find a better balance of quality and price. Even after leaving Bethesda I still drive back for Backstage once every 5 weeks or so.
The prices are low and the service is excellent. Veronica is my stylist, and she’s the best! But everyone who works there seems reliably good.
The place is tucked away a bit, and they could use some out-​front signage on Old Georgetown Road, but it’s worth finding — you won’t find a better combination of service and value in Bethesda or in DC.

I’ve been going to Veronica at Backstage Hair Designers for 4 years. She asks questions and listens to how you want your hair cut and styled. She also recognizes what style is best for your hair. For example, I have naturally wavy/​curly hair which I was always fighting to get straight. She suggested I just embrace the curls and cut my hair in way that makes it easy to style curly and it looks great.
I recently moved from Bethesda to DC, but I like Veronica and Backstage Hair so much that I continue to go to Bethesda to get my hair cut. There is a parking garage across the street (free parking on Saturdays) and the location is a block from the Bethesda Metro.
The prices are very reasonable.
