Gym is over crowded. Staff is unfriendly. Bathrooms are a mess. Not enough spray to wipe down machines and placed too far away from them so alot of people do not wipe them down after use. Way too expensive for what you get.

Never had a great health club experience until I joined Healthtrax. I love it here. The staff is very helpful, but never overbearing. You can focus on your workout without any distractions or feeling self conscious. Just slightly more expensive than the cheaper health clubs, but worth every penny. A classy, serious health club

I joined Healthtrax a few months ago when looking for a local gym with a daycare. Healthtrax really does have it all. There are morning and evening classes, racquetball courts, a gymnasium, pool, several rooms with cardio equipment, weight rooms and personal training. Although my husband uses the free weights, I spend most of my time in the group fitness classes. There are about 20 cycling classes a week. In addition, there are Zumba, Yoga, Groove(dance), Active(weights, step, balance), Step, and Power(weight lifting) classes. Healthtrax truly has something for everyone. And you will see everyone in this gym. It is much more family oriented than the big box gyms. People of all ages are in the classes and using the equipment, from 15−65+. Although parking is limited at busy times, there have always been spaces. They gym equipment never seems more than 1⁄3 of the way full. As for the price, Healthtrax is not cheap. Membership seems to be more affordable if you choose the family option and/or if you pay ahead for the entire year. That being said, it is definitely worth it to me. My only criticism is that SOME of the instructors attempt to motivate in group fitness with a negative approach(«I don’t want to see…», «This is not a…») rather than a positive one. It can come off as demeaning. That is not motivating to me. I am much more motivated by encouragement and positive feedback. It’s not always what is said but HOW it is communicated. Again, this is only a few instructors. Also, the daycare often seems over crowded and chaotic. There are always two adults present but, there is no limit on the amount of children with the exception being babies under 17 months. My baby has also seemed to pick up two colds and a bacterial infection over the past few months. I would have given five stars if the daycare was cleaner and the staff interacted with the children more.

I received a postcard from Healthtrax in the mail, so I thought I’d give them a chance even though I already have a membership at a local gym because it looks like a very nice facility(I love the idea of the trainer-assisted workouts) and is SUPER close to my new home. Unfortunately, I was unable to get an answer to my very specific query about membership rates. When I tried to call, I could not get anything other than a front desk person who would dump me into a salesperson’s voice mailbox, so I submitted my query via their website. I received a slightly modified canned response from the local«Wellness Program Coordinator» stating that«Our promotions change frequently, and you may be eligible for certain discounts that are offered through your health insurance, place of employment, or primary care physician referral. With all these variables in place, it is best to meet first and discuss these options to assure you the best price possible. Just let me know what day and time works best for you to stop by, and I will make sure I am here for you.» Their inability/unwillingness to give me even their standard rate(sans promotions or discounts) means I will not be interested in joining. I should not have to physically go to their building in order to obtain an answer to such a simple question. Inability to be straightforward about prices is a definite dealbreaker when it comes to obtaining my business! So disappointed!

I have been a member of Healthtrax for 7 years now and am very pleased with the services they render. Healthtrax not only includes a fitness center but also has a pool, racquetball courts, and a gymnasium to work out in. All the staff are fun loving and easy to work with. They strive to achieve my personal best by either offering modifications or intensity to my workout. Classes are tailored after the body training systems which are changed quarterly. For cyclists there are special spin classes as well as water aerobics For newcomers they have a special training area called a «supervised circuit» to acquaint them with various forms of strength exercises using machines. The gym hosts a wide variety of up to date equipment for cardio or strength training. TVs are set up all around for enjoyment while working the equipment. Personal training is available as individual or group. Although membership costs are a little pricy the gym offers a «reward» system where a member can earn fitness bucks which can be used for a variety of choices including a free month of dues. The gym is family oriented and family friendly. Child care is provided for a fee and some classes are tailored for youth. The locker rooms are clean and fully equipped. They even have a section for handicapped individuals or people with small children. They are open 7 days per week and have activities that can accommodate almost any schedule. I’m proud to be a member. Make the commitment to get fit at Healthtrax.
