This was an OK place. I wasn’t impressed or disgusted, although I am not sure if I would stay here again. The room was pretty clean, although there were some animal hair tumbleweeds under the bed and attached to the power cord(the only outlet in the room). The bathroom used to be a walk in closet, from what I could tell, still equipped with closet double doors. So, if you really really like privacy in the bathroom, just know that the toilet is about 4′ from the bed and at the right angle, you can see someone sitting on the toilet from the bed. Some of the landscaping was really lovely and then there was some overgrowth in some places… we stayed in off season, so I am not sure if that was why. Like I said, it was OK.

The previous owners had just closed the sale of the property to new owners the week before we arrived so there was a little confusion about the rate I was quoted but otherwise, I was very impressed with the service and the accommodations for the price we were given($ 165/night). They are planning on putting in a pool and upgrading the landscaping and stay open all year long. The house cleaning staff was incredibly nice and the manager they had at the property, Sue, was always asking if we were enjoying our stay and asked if there was anything we needed. The only big problem we had with the room was the shower. We were asked if we had a preference of a shower or a bath and since we NEVER take baths at hotels, I said a shower would be fine. We were given room #5(we were the only ones there the first night we got there) and when I saw the size of the shower, i was shocked! My husband is 6’3″ and the shower was a 3′ x 3′ box! I’m only 5’3″ and I couldn’t even turn around to shower. To make matters worse, the shower head wasn’t adjustable so you had exactly one position to shower. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. It felt like a quaint B & B. If I could make any suggestions to the new management, I’d recommend deadbolts on the door(I felt very uncomfortable with only a single door lock), and remodeling the baths that have 3′ x 3′ showers. They are just too small. The room had a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot but we only got coffee on the first day. We went to Giant and got coffee for the rest of our stay as it wasn’t replenished. Neither was the toilet paper! A problem by the third night we were there! Lastly, the beds are quite firm… actually, hard. The first couple of nights, I needed Aleve to get through the night. I really have no major complaints and I would stay there again. But I am looking forward to some upgrades!
