Step above subway, open late and plenty of parking. I feel that sometimes they are stingy with the meat but non the less for the price you can’t bet this place.

Three minute walk down the street from my new home — I will be a regular.
A little on the greasy/​buttery side, but that’s half the taste I’m sure. Not sure if that’s from the «sauce» or if they butter the bread, or both.
Good strong dose of onions, so beware, if you’re not a fan.
Great selection, bright interior, convenient hours, including late.
Very happy to have an alternative to Subway, right down the road.

I was driving in Berwyn with time to kill and I needed to get some lunch. I had never really heard of Mr. Submarine before and figured it can’t be that bad. And seeing as there weren’t a lot of other choices close by I decided to stop in. I was really surprised by how good it was! As far as cold beef sandwiches go, I don’t think I’ve had a better one. I liked it so much I’ve been back and now any time I’m close to Berwyn, I make a point to lunch at this place. It’s definitely worth going out of your way for it.

Best subs around! Delicious, fresh sandwiches every time! Staff is super nice and the place is bright and clean. I have been coming here for years, life long customer! The food is quality for a great price! Can’t be beat! The subs at other places just don’t measure up. Solid, tasty food that hits the spot every time! Open late and you always leave with a smile on your face! I like getting the sub trays for parties (always the first food to go and leaves people wanting more plus the tray prices are unreal! incredible value and perfect for whatever kind of night you are having), taking subs to the beach or to an outdoor picnic, or just stopping in when the mood strikes. Fast, fresh, great service, fantastic food!

I’ve always enjoyed my Mr.Sub.I come here regularly. Nice place. Plenty of parking. Its really simple but I’ll take it over Subway ANYDAY.Mr.Sub is pretty consistent at giving me a good sub meal at a decent price. Im a life long customer!!!

The place is clean, the people are friendly, the food tastes great, the place is well lit, and it’s open late. They also make hotdogs, french fries, and onion rings too.
Day or night you can get an affordable, tasty, healthy meal there.
A nice offering is the wheat bread. For the same price, you can get a better quality bread that is probably a little more healthy to eat. The white bread they serve is soft and fresh too however.
It’s great to roll in there instead of a slider joint and get a meal that is good and healthy at the same time. My favorite is the turkey with everything on it sandwich. Their gyro and tuna subs are filling as they are tasty.

After a night of boozing in May for my friends graduation we found ourselves here to my dismay. I wanted Mr. Taco right down the street. My friends always rave about mr. Taco yet I still haven’t been.
Anywho, I ordered a turkey sub meal. The turkey sub was ok. I prefer oil & vinegar lots of veggies think subway. Well I got a sub with gross mayo (I hate mayo), no mustard, and no oil and vinegar. I did get some lettuce and a tomato though. As far as the meal part last time I checked a meal came with fries. Everyone had their sub, fries and drink. So I went to the counter asking if I could have my fries. The guy tells me that I didnt order any so I showed him my receipt that clearly states meal so he shoves friez at me and say here take them. That right there put a BAD taste in my mouth. I can’t stand rude people. I’m giving you business and all I asked for was something that I clearly PAID for and you’re going to shove food at me!!! I’ve been boycotting the place since.

As mentioned in a previous review, this location always has fresh ingredients. The Mr. Sub is amazing, and the deals they have are always great! You cannot beat 2 for $ 5 it 5 for $ 12. I have been to other locations that use stale bread or other unsatisfactory ingredients. I would also like to add that I have been contacted by this location, and they have offered me compensation. Reaching out to corporate was not helpful at all, but this location specifically did make a wonderful effort to reach out to me. I will continue to be a loyal customer, and suggest you all do the same!

In my opinion this is the best Mr. Sub of the chain (I’ve been to Brookfield, Downers Grove, Chicago, and other Berwyn locations) and I continue to return to this location. Subs are great and never soggy. I also really like their fries (crinkles) as each location has a different type as well as their chicken tender meal. I am usually a go-​to Turkey sub gal but I have also had the ham and Mr. Sub choices which are all excellent. They even recently started doing butter-​garlic (BG) fries which are to die for — bring some gum for after! I love that they continue to serve RC, something you don’t see everyday. They have a ton of seating and are open very late. I even came here xmas eve late night and they were unexpectedly open.

Best sammich on earth! EVER! I go all the time with my boyfriend and always without a doubt get a turkey sub with garlic fries. My new last meal. I love the bread and everything is just sooooo yummy. I’m getting hungry just writing about it… mmm, Mr. Sub.

Like was mentioned above (or below?), parking lot is huge but its really pretty little inside. Dates back a million years to when this was a fried chicken place. However, its clean and reasonably attractive inside. Staff was polite and efficient. Food was good and the price right. I’ll return for sure.

Been here a few times and it’s always consistent. Not a huge fan but based on the reviews I see, people really love it.
The place is clean and there is plenty of in house seating. Subs are good, garlic fries are really tasty and heavy on the garlic. +1 for that.
My biggest peeve is that when you ask for your sub hot they throw the thing in the microwave… Yikes! Nuked bread is not appealing at all. So I have learned not to have my sub heated.
Decent sub, fresh bread, made to order, give them a try and see what you think.

I’ve been here now about 6 times and always order a signature king Mr. Sub fries and a coke. Every single time they deliver. but there is a catch… go in the morning before 4pm the service and care of making a good sandwich differs from morning to night.

Besides the location in Bellwood, this is the nicest looking Mr. Sub I’ve been to. However unlike the Bellwood, the food here seems much better, and the parking lot is big. Yes, as far as Mr. Sub parking lots go, it almost seems to be their prerequisite to have tiny, chopped up parking lots. Thankfully, this one is an exception to the rule.
Not much more to add. I’ve really no complaints here. Unfortunately Berwyn is a bit out of the way, or I’d be hitting up this location more often.

Woohoo!
Best damn sub shop in the area. Great friendly service. These guys are pros. The cheese fries are the best. Crinkle cut fries are the way to go and they are always crisp, fresh and hot. The sub bread is always fresh, unlike the other ‘place’ where they say ‘go fresh’ but you never can because their bread is stale and stiff. Love it here, just love it.
Only thing this place needs is a Coke-​Cola dispenser, not RC!
