This place is a little hidden gem of Mexican food. Legit Mexican food. If you are into Chilaquiles and tomatillo sauce this is the place to go. I was very impressed by the flavor of the Chilaquiles I ordered, made me feel like I was in Mexico. I would definitely visit again.

I’ve had tacos in Mexico, Texas, California, and now, New Mexico. This place is the real deal. Super delicious and crazy cheap. And the woman who took care of me was very kind. A+++

The food was eh… The waitress was nice, but not very attentive. Finished our meal, then I got up to use the bathroom before we left and a cockroach was crawling across the floor. GROSS!!! Don’t waste your time or money.

Lupe’s Mexican food is an amazing find. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and placed an order for two tacos 1 chicken 1 beef. The tacos took nearly no time to come out and the service was excellent. The lady behind the counter was extremely polite and had a big smile on her face, not to mention the price of the tacos was extremely reasonable. If you’re in Bernalillo I recommend Lupe’s

Small cozy restaurant within walking distance of the Days Inn where we stayed. Excellent tasty food. Waitress not very attentive but it was easy to catch her eye. We would go back.

I liked it. It’s cheap MEXICAN food. It is NOTNEWMEXICAN. Chips & Salsa were excellent. Beans are amazing. Rice was just ok. The green enchilada sauce is a bummer though as it’s just like Las Palmas from the can. Staff is friendly, courteous & timely with everything. I will definitely go again.

Omg. This was the best Mexican food I have ever had. It was like I walked into someone’s Hine and they fed me. The chicken was so fresh and juicy and the homemade corn tortillas were so amazing! If you hit Bernalillo and are ready to eat this is the place to do it.

This is an undiscovered gem along 550. The food is excellent. They have lots of authentic Mexican dishes here. You get complimentary chips and green salsa. this is really at the quality level of the range but for half the price.

The owners are so nice and welcoming. The food is homemade and excellent. We ordered Caldos(beef soup), abondigas soup and flan. We were also served complementary homemade chips, salsa and corn tortillas. It is definitely worth the drive from Albuquerque to Bernalillo for authentic Mexican food. We will definitely be back.

Our waiter at Tamaya suggested his place and trip advisor ranked it high. Everyone should go here. Google does not know of their new location. It is just behind the Starbucks off of 550. The mole was unbelievable. Their Molcajette was crazy good. What we thought were green chilis was actually cactus. The wait staff was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. Everything we got was unbelievable. Highly recommended.

Real Mexican food just like my mother in law makes. Somewhat pricey for this type of establishment. I’ve always been happy with the food, so no complaints!

I stopped in on a whim for a quick snack and was extremely impressed with the food as well as service. I asked Lupe to tell me about several dishes I had never eaten such as Huaraches and Sopas. Her explanations were in-depth and sounded delicious. I decided on a chicken Sopas. It was amazingly good with very fresh garnish of cilantro, tomato, and crisp lettuce strips. The sopa was so good that I then ordered a shrimp tostada, it too was delicious. I would also highly recommend the tomatillo sauce. A fantastic experience.

First off, there’s one review where the reviewer have them at three stars because he felt they were«over priced». I’m not quite sure what he considers over priced but they certainly fall far from this category. We eat here a couple times a month. The food is very authentic and quite delicious. The prices are sick low and let me explain. I can order three tacos, one chicken enchilada and a side of rice and beans. Someone else can order three tacos, a side of rice and beans… and a second basket of chips and salsa. You know what our bill was??? $ 15.60. Seriously??? If that’s too expensive then try making all that at home for that! All things said — it’s a little nugget In bernalillo. A town where there aren’t many solid options unless you want to head over the Range or Flying Star… Two nice places to eat but certainly two places that truly do lean towards a «pricer» experience.

My favorite Mexican joint in New Mexico. Everything tastes super fresh & has great flavor. My go to is the chicken fajitas or any of the burritos. I hear their tacos & tortas are bomb as well. Give them a try you will not be disappointed!

This place is real Mexican food cooked my moms! This is NOT southwest(but you can order anything with green or red), this is not TX-MEX. This is Mexican! I’ve had the langua taco(not the best I’ve had, but still very good) and carnitas taco! I’ve also had the breakfast burritos and the chorizo with egg was excellent!!) They are known for serving entire meals in large sized molcajetes. This is obviously homemade, family owned, and a great little hole in the wall place that will meet your real Mexican food fix in the overflowing seas of southwest Mexican restaurants of Albuquerque!

This is one of those out of the way places you find unexpectedly! First off, this is MEXICAN food, not New Mexican., but, the food is delicious and there’s a huge variety. The Molcajetes are to die for, especially the lamb. It is slow cooked and melts in your mouth! I’ve also had the enchiladas rojos and thecred sauce is smoky and earthy. The huaraches are als great(flat fry bread topped with your choicec of ingredients like asada, papas con chorizo or pollo! The menu is huge snd I am slowly working my way through it!
