Went there with a friend for a quick bite on a mid afternoon. Service was terrible. Waitress shouted across the dining room«do you need a menu»? We had never been there before. Asked about dietary restrictions and received an indignant reply. Should have left at this point. Food questions were met with attitude. NEVER going back.

Every time I go home to Connecticut I have to hit up Central. Central pizza has been around for a long time — it is Greek pizza and is very unique. I’ve travelled all over this country and Central is still in my top 5 pies. The staff is very friendly but they usually have only one waitress that they run ragged so be nice to her okay? I always judge pizza by this criteria — is it so good that I can eat a plain cheese pizza? Here the answer is yes and many times I go plain when I eat here. But I would be ripping you off if I didn’t mention that Central Pizza has the best grinders I have ever had. I remember as a kid after eating many Central Pizza grinders I went to Subway for the first time … I thought there was some kind of joke going on — It tasted like plastic to me. Anyway, I have grown to like Subway but c’mon — don’t even compare a Central grinder to anything at Subway.

Central Pizza is a hometown local favorite. Nothing fancy to look at, but they serve you old Italian/Greek favorites to perfection. Have to know what your in for: Gourmet? No. Old School Pizza Place? This is for you. Oh, by the way, their Eggplant Parm is the best!

I’ve only gone here for take-out, but had great experiences every time! The staff is super friendly, pizza and grinders are amazing, and the grinders are HUGE! Would highly recommend! Been ordering from them for years!

Great local pizza joint. People in there are extremely nice and welcoming. Takes a bit to get your food, but it’s worth the wait. Unfortunate part is paying for refills on a soda. A bit ridiculous.

Berlin Greek pizza fans rejoice, the rest of us need to head to Meriden, Wooster Street or anywhere else in Ct. I found the crust too thick and soft while the cheese of inferior quality.

Warm, friendly people at the counter and excellent grinders –a real treat. The bread is light with some crisp, and the fillings are well-prepared, generous and all fresh, made from scratch and it tastes like it. It’s delicious comfort food – definitely nice to enjoy it while it’s hot.

Very upsetting! The service was the worst! I asked for a if the have high chairs… The waitress then said yes and went into the kitchen to «hide». Waitress never checked in to see how we were. The pizza is dime a dozen and I would rather stay home and have cardboard and ketchup!

This place is a town staple. Great Greek style pizza, fantastic grinders. I always stop in when I’m back in town. Check out the meatball sub and the chicken cutlet sub. Good stuff!

Another great local Italian restaurant. You can either order anything for takeout or eat in their dining area. Very casual atmosphere. Service is very good. The food is excellent. My personal favorites are their calzones, grinders, and tuna salad(their large tuna salad is HUGE and has LOTS of tuna on it… delish!). Great pizza as well(their tomato sauce is excellent). Can be noisy if kids are eating there, but worth it for the food.

This is a great place to go for grinders. If you aren’t from New England your probably asking yourself what is a grinder? Its a sub/hero/hoagie. If you are here and you don’t want pizza I recommend the sausage or meatball grinder. BTW I really like the pizza sauce here so the pizza is getting too.
