I have had many positive experiences at GG Warren but today was the TOPS! I needed a piece of jewelry fixed for a wedding tonight… brought it in and VOILA– it was fixed while I waited. Another jeweler had say ¾ days but not George. thanks once again. Joanne K.

I’ve always found George and his wife to be pleasant people and I’ve enjoyed getting to know both of them. We even considered them friends. As a proponent of «shopping local» I’ve referred business to George and have made a few purchases there in the past. Unfortunately, I won’t be doing so any longer. I overpaid for a necklace as an anniversary gift for my wife, and was OK with doing so because I considered George a friend. My wife didn’t like the necklace, so we returned it. We wanted to keep the business with George, so we waited 2 months for a proposal on a custom designed ring. The quote never came. It’s now November 2nd(anniversary was 8⁄1). My wife finally ended up purchasing herself an anniversary gift because she was done waiting on the custom ring proposal. I asked for a refund for the $ 300 necklace that was returned(within the week required for a cash refund as posted in the store) and was told they will not refund the purchase(with cash) now because it’s outside of the required time frame; they’ll only do a store credit. The only reason we’re outside of the required time frame is because we wanted to keep the business with George and allowed the time to pass waiting on the custom ring proposal that never came. George said«if I make an exception for you, i’m forced to make it for everyone…» Fair enough, except nobody would have known. It just seems good business to keep a customer for life by refunding the $ 300 instead of upsetting me and giving me reason to post the negative reviews. That isn’t a concern with G.G. Warren Co. apparently. It’s unfortunate, but after using up the credit from the necklace, we won’t be back. I guess this is what happens when«shopping local» and dealing with a small mom & pop style store. Trevor Brunckhorst
