Love this place, and eat here often. I’ve only ever had the pizza, but it is all I need. Other people I’ve dined with have said that the other offerings(sandwiches, salads, etc) are also great. The place is quick and clean and great for lunch or dinner.

I love the concept of this place and if I could eat that I’d give five stars. Allowing people to build their own pizzas in a streamlined process is really quite genius(**spoiler**You’re not the one actually putting the toppings on which came as a bit of a shock to me) [you still get a mad power rush tho!!!] I also loved the interior design which was very clean, open and friendly. I didn’t get to enjoy it much though because ¡¡they get very busy in the evening! and there was no seating available so we had to take the pizzas home. Speaking of pizzas! The one thing I didn’t love about this place was the actual food. I don’t know if it’s because I came at a busy time or if something in the combination of my toppings lent itself to a soggy crust but my experience with my order was lackluster. The taste wasn’t bad but I felt like the process was too rushed to make a truly pleasing pizza. It was ok though. And I’d definitely come back!

First time at Crispelli’s on Woodward. We walked in and were directed to self serve, which was fine. We looked over the menus and decided on a small Mediterranean with salmon and a lunch special pasta. I have to say I was very disappointed in the customer service. Ashleigh seemed as if it was a bother to answer any questions or even ring us up. She even got our order wrong(no meatballs on the pasta) clearly because she was not listening or couldn’t be bothered. The food was delicious. The salad and salmon were fresh. Only gave three stars because of the customer service. Next time we will try the Troy location, hopefully for a better experience.

A great place to have a tasty casual meal without breaking the bank. I had a reuben sandwich with chips and also a cobb salad. Both were great. The salad was tasty and fresh. I saw many people ordering pizza. I try a pie on my next visit. It’s family and group friendly. Also great for a girlfriend’s lunch/dinner.

Old favorite, moving on up, opening a clone on Big Beaver in Troy. If you like thin crust pizza, ask them to Use a medium dough ball and stretch it out to a large!

We ordered carryout Caprese sandwiches which were wonderful but we were very disappointed that the house made chips that were we expecting with our sandwiches were just another bag of chips. Bring back the house made chips!

This place is great. Everyone who works here is efficient and the food is outstanding. The prices are reasonable too. My wife and I come here about once every other week. Eating at this place is fun because you get to watch the staff as they efficiently produce and cook great food. It’s like you get a dinner and a show. As far as the pizza goes, this is one of the best Brooklyn-style pizza places where I have eaten. All of the ingredients are fresh and delicious and the salads are outstanding too. The only downfall of this place is that I overheard one of the line cooks, as I was getting my pizza, say, «Man, I can’t handle this s**** right now.» I was literally 3 feet from him when he said this, so this is what prevents this place from getting five stars. I wasn’t offended, but this was an example of poor customer service and being unaware of your surroundings.

Great spot. Freshly baked bread in-house. Delicious sandwiches. Had the turkey sandwich in their homemade rye bread. I always worry that that will turn boring with the basic store-bought meat, but this was house-made, delicious turkey. A usually boring sandwich turned the opposite. Also had the minestrone, which was mediocre. Although I have a feeling their other soup options were probably better.

The place was packed but we were served quickly. The bread was warm and fresh. We ordered the Crispelli’s salad which was really good. Their special pizza was barbecue chicken. It was cooked to perfection! The only negative was the tables are really packed close together and it was difficult to get around the other tables.

One of my fav restaurants — I like that there’s the option of either self-dining or getting served! Their Mediterranean salad with grilled salmon is my go-to meal. I’ve also tried the margherita & white pie pizzas and both are amazing. All of their ingredients are always fresh. I’ve never had a bad meal here.

One of the best pizza places in metro Detroit. I’ve been to Crispelli’s a few times, but I’ve ordered carry-out from them more times. This is a delicious pizza restaurant in metro Detroit. Their thin crust pizza is absolutely delicious and perfectly thin and crispy. They aren’t shy about piling on the toppings, but it doesn’t seem over-topped since they slice the veggies so thin so they don’t slide off when you take a bite. The Crispelli salad is the best so definitely make sure you order that. All their sandwiches and soups are also delicious. Plus, two words: BOSCOSTICKS. This is just a great place with yummy pizza, a variety of other foods. Price can see kind of high, but the portion sizes you get for everything makes it well worth it.

Sitting here at the new location on Main Street and catalpa. Is providing the same fabulous baked goods that we’ve come to expect from the original location.

Came to Crispelli’s many a moon ago, but unless anything has changed, this is a good joint. Will the food blow your mind of be something unique you’ll savor forever? No most likely not, but it is solid food that is well priced. The vibe in here is pretty relaxed and you can either sit in an area where you can go up and self-serve or sit down and have a waiter come to you. They have a decent wine selection and really, you can’t go wrong here. Enjoy Unilocalers!

In the Detroit area, I generally want to get some good ol’ Detroit style deep dish, oozing with cheese and meat and all thoughts of healthy eating go down the tubes. However, I LOVE Crispelli’s thin crust pizza and their salads! I also like the open kitchen and tasty desserts! Crispelli’s allows for a healthy balance when indulging in pizza and accommodating your sweet tooth. I mean, you have to get the salad, too. The salad’s the healthy part. Greens have vitamins and stuff.

The best thing I can say about Crispelli’s is that it was fast. From the time we ordered to pizza on the table seemed like five minutes. The pizza was OK, but nothing to write home about. I found the crust to be a little too soft and chewey. It could have been crisp on the bottom, but it wasn’t. And I found the toppings to be scant. I ordered a pie with sausage and green peppers and there was not much of either on the pie. Shelley ordered a vegetable panini and that looked much more generous. There are better places to get pizza in the area. Ho-hum.

So quick and enjoyable!!! My first time here we sat on the side to be served, after that we have always sat in the self service area. We’ve brought families here with kids and its a great option for everyone! Pizza, salads, and soups are delicious. I can never decide what I want to eat! Try the clam chowder for sure — fantastic. They also offer gluten free pizza. They cook that in a different oven. Our first time ordering that they accidentally over cooked it. Made us a whole new pizza! Great great place. You have to try it if you’re ever near!

Again I was here with 9 other classmates from St. Gregory High School. Again the lunch was excellent. This time I had the tuna salad sandwich and it was perfectly seasoned and on great bread. Served with a Caesar side salad that had a true delicious Caesar dressing. All 10 of us agreed that the sandwiches were terrific. The most impressive thing was the service. Megan N got everything perfect. This is not a simple thing to do — -10 senior men all wanting something a little different than what’s on the menu, and getting it correct from the kitchen — -and then getting the bills all right. She did it perfectly.

FIRSTVISIT: I have passed Crispelli’s for 3 years as I live literally around the corner. I decided to try it since I was craving a grilled cheese and Unilocal suggested it. Though it looks pretty upscale and classy, it is rather trendy and laid back. I really liked the combination. As soon as you walk inside, you can see the fire oven cooking the hand-made pizzas to a bubbly perfection. I was asked if self-service was ok and explained how the process works. The cashier who helped me was either new or just generally clueless because she had a really hard time with my order. But I was patient and she was sweet and we both survived. I ordered a grilled cheese with caesar side salad and fries with an extra side of feta. Though the staff brought me my fries, I had to stand to retrieve my meal(self-service) which never arrived. Turns out my order was never made. The appropriate parties apologize profusely and handled my missing order accordingly. All-in-all, I waited almost 30 minutes, but they offered me free dessert, which I declined. I could tell they were really swamped and embarrassed. I was not the only one waiting on food. They told me to have a seat and brought it to me anyway. The grilled cheese was very fresh and filling. It was more panini style. The cheese was not melted in the middle, but having not eaten all of it, this would not be a problem once reheated later. The caesar was simple, but tastes fantastic. I enjoyed it more than the sandwich. But the fries were the star of the show. Simply magical. And the feta and lemon I added just made them perfect. You can grab a sophisticated wood-fired pizza, paninis, salads, pasta, dessert, burgers and even wine. The layout is modern and clean and I will definitely come back for another try. — — — SECONDVISIT: I found myself craving a caesar salad so I went to Crispelli’s for a second time. One of the pizza cooks greeted me and took the initiative to help me with my order. I ordered a White Pizza and a Caesar salad personalized combo for lunch. He also made my pizza. I liked watching him prepare it. Very fresh. He didn’t wear gloves but neither do a lot of reputable, clean cooks. I really didn’t mind. I like to see restaurants I plan to frequent throughout different phases and times of the day. The first visit was during a rush and everything seemed to go wrong. This second visit was during a lull and it wasn’t very busy. But still, they totally forgot to make my salad and I had to ask for it after a considerable wait. Not sure what’s being lost in translation, but they need to work on the communication between the register and the line, apparently. At any rate, the pizza was tasty, but the salad was the star. I enjoyed my lunch, regardless of the delay. — — — — THIRDVISIT: Once again, I was craving a Caesar. I’d tried a panini once, a pizza second, and now went for a pasta dish, the porcini mushroom lunch pasta. As expected, the salad was delicious. I was not, however, fond of the pasta. In my opinion, it tasted like a roux of butter over flavorless cheese pasta. But hey, now I know. For the portion, however, I felt the price was a bit much($ 11). All-in-all, I like Crispelli’s, but I feel I will stick to the salads, overall, and enjoy those to go.

Oh Crispelli’s, how I love thee. What can I say about this place. It’s awesome! It’s a nice, casual environment with a cafeteria-type feel. Most of the time you can seat yourself. Sometimes, there’s a greeter at the door to determine if you want to sit in the self-serve area or go to the area with a traditional server. I’ve always done the self-serve. They give you a reserved sign, you set it on your table, and make your way to the front to place your order. I like that you can who and how they are preparing your food. You can see the pizza masters working their magic. You can also see the wood oven in all its fire-blazing glory. You take a seat and it feels like they call your name is 2.5 seconds. The service is really speedy. I’ve never waited longer than 15 minutes(usually always less) for my food, which for fresh pizza is pretty awesome. I always order the same thing not because I’m not adventurous but because it’s just so good to me. The Mediterranean pizza is my go-to. I always add pepperoni too because it just makes it even meatier and delicious. It doesn’t come with marinara sauce and honestly, you don’t need it. However, I’m a sucker for sauces of all kinds so I always get a side of marinara for extra dipping fun. I also love the Crispelli’s salad. It’s just so pretty. Everything is deconstructed and you mix it together yourself. I also always get a side of lemon oregano dressing on the side and mix it with the red wine vinaigrette. It just makes a wonderful combination. I also dip my crostini that comes with the salad in the dressing. You can just tell the ingredients are quality and fresh, which just makes for a great finished product. I love that you never feel heavy or stuffed or lethargic after eating their pizza. It feels light and just plain olé delicious. Lastly, I love that there are carry out containers, plates, and silverware for you to serve yourself when you’re ready. Some people may prefer to have someone serve them but I actually love the self-serve concept. I can get it when I want and pack it up how I want. They still have workers that come around and help you with your trash. All around, Crispelli’s is a stand up place. I haven’t tried the location in West Bloomfield but I’m curious to see if it lives up to the Berkley location.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Crispelli’s yet. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the area. The food is amazing and the prices are reasonable. There are two sides to the restaurant, the left is a seat yourself, cafeteria style section; and the right is a sit down section. I enjoy eating in both sections. The left side does get a little noisy on the weekends and at lunchtime. If you’re going on a Friday or Saturday night be prepared to wait, they usually tell you 45min — hour, but it never takes that long. Their thin crust pizza is delicious. It’s made in a brick oven and it’s amazing, I almost always get it, I make it with ham, mushrooms, and feta. It’s delicious. Their sandwiches are also amazing. Their bread is all homemade. Do yourself a favor and also get a Crispelli’s salad, I don’t like salads and I love it. It’s amazing. I have never tried something here that I didn’t like, or eaten with anyone who got something they didn’t like. It’s all good.
