Butterfly Bake Shoppe

Went to get a cake there because of all of the good reviews. They did not have any cakes when I went in :(

This little bakery in Berkley is simply great. We recently had a first birthday party for my little boy and I called a few different bakeries before deciding on one. I usually get cakes from Holiday market in Royal Oak (for wedding, shower, etc.) so I started with them. They quoted me a price and then wanted an extra $ 38 (minimum) for «art work.» I didn’t want extensive art work or anything, just something cute to go along with a jungle /​giraffe theme. I called another shop that wanted over $ 60 for a cake for around 35 people. I then called Butterfly Bake Shoppe who quoted me a great price for a half sheet cake that would easily serve over 40 people (no extra fee for the artwork). So, I went with them first because of the price and good reviews on Unilocal.
The cake was absolutely beautiful. Butterfly Bake Shoppe went above and beyond with the decorations and it was honestly one of the cutest birthday cakes I have ever seen. It was completely decorated all in bright beautiful colors. I chose a marble cake and it was moist and delicious. The frosting is great.
From now on, I will order all cakes from this bakery. They are nice, affordable and overall, delicious!

I love this little bakery. Everything is good and well priced. My favorite is (i think) the Hungarian Tart, which is the apricot thingy described by other reviewers. It’s crunchy and sugary and gooey… all things that make for great taste!
The cookies are great too, and the cakes look amazing, though I haven’t tried any yet. Even though it’s located on a main street there is plenty of parking available behind the shop and the staff gets to recognize customers.

Yummy cookies, she knows me on sight, oatmeal raisin are on the top right of the display case, cowboy cookies bottom row and bumpy cake cup cakes are the BEST.

Love this little shop! Every cookie I’ve had is terrific. My son and I have stopped here for sugar cookies before the zoo more than once! They are the best sugar cookies in town.
The staff is friendly and warm. Butterfly Bake Shoppe is a must when you’re in the area.

I got my sons first birthday cake here (his «smash» cake) and it was soooo good that I ate some from what was left of his destruction! Reasonable prices and nice staff. And delicious too! I will buy everything from here next occasion!

Butterfuly Bake Shop is a cute, clean little neighborhood bakery that is family-​owned. They have an impressive range of tasty treats. The cookies are beautifully decorated as well as delicious. They also have breads, cupcakes, donuts, cakes and more — something for everyone! I stopped in an bought a range of items for my family to sample and they devoured them!

Butterfly Bake Shoppe is a super-​small corner bakery with neighborhood bakery appeal. They mainly focus on cookies, donuts and dessert bars (brownies, lemon squares, these apricot things that are to DIE FOR).
The owner’s specialty is decorated cookies that can be customized for about ANY occasion. I ordered cookies for a new residents reception and she made house cookies with little picket fences as well as small trees and flowers. THEY WERE ADORABLE and talk about delicious (think cookies bouquet only 2x as good and a hundred more choices). She said they do a lot of graduation parties and do either the high school emblem or the college emblem (how cute would that be?).
They also have the greatest lil cakes ($ 10 and they are SUPER CUTE). The cake serves about 4 people and would be PERFECT for say, a family birthday or a quick treat for a friend’s birthday/​special event.
