We have a lot of confidence in Solano Oriental Rug Gallery. Over the years we have bought some superb rugs there as well as a particularly wonderful saddlebag. Iraj Vafaeenia is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and very proud of his excellent selection of high quality rugs, and we benefitted from his expertise in making our selection. Recently we brought in two rugs we had bought there, as well as the saddlebag, for cleaning. The price was very reasonable and the rugs look beautiful. In the process a repair was needed for the saddlebag and it was done quickly and very well. We highly recommend this establishment.

Beautiful selection of new and antique rugs. Owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I felt a little pushed to spend more than I was comfortable with on a rug I brought in to be cleaned and repaired, but I would still return to shop there. Did some research on cleaning costs in advance and their prices seemed fair. My Afghan Khal rug was lustrous and like new when I returned.

I took a number of rugs to Solano Oriental Rug Gallery for cleaning and repair. Besides the excellent service and restoration I got an education! I found out that one of my rugs that I inherited was over 100 years old and an excellent rug. I had no idea! Mr. Vafeenia is very kind and truly loves sharing his extensive knowledge of oriental carpets. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this family business!

We bought a rug in Turkey and brought it to Iraj Vafeenia at Solano Oreintal Rug Gallery to check out. Mr. Vafaeenia was so generous with his time and expertise. He verified that the rug we bought was indeed what we had been told and that it was worth the price we had paid. He showed us how to identify the type and quality of our rug and we learned more than we had from our research and the rug merchant in Turkey. We were also told that we could trade our rug if it wasn’t the right size or color.
Solano Oriental Rug Gallery would be my first and only choice for another Turkish or Persian rug. What a delight to meet an expert! The rugs at the store are absolutely beautiful and at the top of the ones we saw in Turkey. The prices are also quite good. If you want a great rug or to save yourself from lugging a rug home or paying for shipping, just go to Solano Oriental Rug Gallery.

Great Family owned business! The owner Iraj is a wonderful Gentlemen. Amazing how he remembers his customers and speaks with them on a personal level but still maintains a business sense.
The owner is also quite informative and knowledgeable of his inventory and always willing to make a deal.
DEFINITELY the place to go in the Bay Area for a great selection on priceless rugs for your home or office. (We have them in both. LoL)
We have also had numerous rugs repaired and a few restored to which all have come back home good as new and with no complaints.
If your in the area I suggest you check them out. Or look them up on line. That was the way we found them.

Solano Oriental Rug Gallery did a fantastic job cleaning my 8’x11’ Persian Oriental. I brought in the run with many, many old food stains. It was hand cleaned and came back perfectly clean with no stains visible. Great service and very good prices. I recommend them highly and will continue to use them in the future.
