Really quick and polite service, which was great considering how cold it was outside while I waited. He said 10 minutes but it was really closer to 5 and I was on my way. Make sure to mention the $ 24.95 Unilocal deal, it saves you about $ 20 on your smog check. Will be coming back here as long as I’m in the area.

Standing outside this place right now 12÷12÷15 at 8: 30am and I’ve been here since 8am. There is no one here. I checked Unilocal and their website, both say this place open at 8am. Theres 2 other cars waiting here too. I think 1 guy is about to leave. So far not up to a great start. Sure hope the actually show up soon.

The guy shows up a 8:45am. He seems really nice. He first quoted me $ 58. But then i mentioned Unilocal and my price came down to $ 33.20. I filled out some paperwork and now I’m having to wait 10 minutes since another car was here before me. Overall not the best smog check experience. But its quick i suppose.

Went in the day after Thanksgiving for a Smog check. I was in and out in 10 – 15 minutes (just enough time to find out Berkeley Bowl was closed)…asked about the Unilocal discount and saved $ 25, bonus! DMV paperwork was done online for me. Yay! Success!

Quick and painless at a good price — everything you need from a smog check — waiting area is outside so bundle up if it is cold.

When my dad told me I had to go get a Smog Check, I really didn’t know what to expect. But thankfully Unilocal came to my rescue and up popped «Smog Check Berkeley.» If you search up «Smog Check» on Unilocal in Berkeley, this place is usually the top 1 – 2. Looking at the perfect rating, I decided to give this place a try.
My friend and I drove here around 10am on Sat and there was only one truck there in front of us. The nice gentlemen who worked the Smog Check came and greeted us ever so kindly. I think he knew that I had no idea what to expect, and he genuinely told me everything that was going to happen. He quickly gave me an estimate and told me that it would be $ 25.00. Make sure to mention Unilocal! (it’s a win win for him and you!).
He told me that the check would take about 30 minutes (give or take bc of the guy in front of us), but it actually took 15. Such efficiency! In the end, he kindly charged me the $ 30 (with additional fees) and asked if I could rate his services on Unilocal.You bet because you definitely made my morning!

Decent place, good price. Came in early in the morning no wait for in and out in less than 15 minutes. Would have liked the option to offer a free retest but I know my car always passes.

Location: close to home so it was very convenient. Gas prices are decent too.
Service: Called ahead to get a smog check and the tech was very nice and professional. Got there on a weekday at 2pm and there was no one there — yay NO LINE! The actual testing took about 10 min.
Price: $ 25. Okay, what more can I say when the price is that cheap! I heard from others to shop around since some stations can charge up to $ 70. So glad I researched on Unilocal.Be sure to print out your voucher to get the deal from their website.

Berkeley Quick Star Smog on 2051 Ashby Ave Berkeley, CA 94 703 was my destination this afternoon. It closed! I decided to check out this station since it was crossing the street. At first I wasn’t sure about it. The technician was friendly. He said $ 38 total. Then I mentioned about the online coupon. It was $ 33 total.
The bottom line is good services. I would recommend to friends and come back next time.

Berkeley Gas & Smog is open in the former U.S. Smog spot. cheapest gas (3.15) in berkeley probably.
will fill up as needed. i doubt it’s top tier gas.
something in the tank is better than nothing.
no upgrades seen, just new paint.
