Is no longer so round. In October, 2011 it became«Red Tomato Pizza House.» Apart from the sign outside, you’re not likely to notice much difference, mind.

I’m impressed with this Round Table Pizza because this one makes the best ever pizzas in the entire San Francisco Bay Area. The Pizzas are cooked perfectly and the staff is excellent. The owner is very nice also welcoming. I really like the big screen TV’s in this place. This is the best Round Table Pizzas I had in the Bay Area. Thumbs Up to Round Table Pizza in Berkeley!

I grew up eating, and loving, Round Table Pizza. This particular location doesn’t seem to live up to the brand, especially if you are a fan of the parmesan garlic twists. We’ve ordered them many times, and they always look tiny and… deflated. It is serviceable pizza, but we get better bang for our buck elsewhere.

Sure the interior isn’t all that nice, but it’s a pizza joint. They do have two large televisions that are usually playing sports. I’ve been here a few times because the pizza is always made quickly and pretty dang good for a chain at a decent price. The staff is generally friendly and offers to help clean up when I try to clean my mess. Just came back from here after grabbing a large 1-topping pizza for 10 bucks. And will keep coming back for good ol’ chain pizza.

Surprisingly delicious is the only way I can describe it. Never have been much of a pizza person(especially the take-out, chainy, non-gourmet type places) but after splitting a large Round Table pizza with my friend… it’s all we could think about for the next few weeks(and now). We then succumbed to a pizza craze… we decided to try West Coast Pizza because we had coupons for it(but be careful. they charge $ 2 delivery fee) but it just didn’t stand up to Round Table, which IMO had better crust, sauce and pineapple. I can’t wait to get my hands on another slice of ROUNDTABLE’S italian sausage and pineapple pizza! mmmmm

This Round table is pretty run down looking, not really a clean feel to it. So not exactly a place you want to hang out and grab some pizza. The staff was either bordering on rude, I understand not liking your job, but um hey we are just polite customers. The other staff was just silent, eh. The pizza was ok, not all that amazing, lots of toppings though! Eh. .. I’ve been to better Round Table pizza places, I’d pass in the future.

Not all Round Table Pizzas are created equal. My coworker and I ordered delivery the other day for a long night of work. The good part about this meal, delivery was on time and faster than we thought(but they are down the street from my office). Unfortunately. why is their pizza sweet??? The King Arthur Supreme should not be sweet! I don’t know if it was the sauce or the sausage. but it tasted like they sprinkled sugar on the pizza instead of parmesan cheese. At least I didn’t have to pay for it… Will not be back.

DONOTORDERANYTHINGFROMTHISPLACE. I had to run a student meeting during school’s lunch hour and for the fear that students maybe without lunch, I ordered five extra large pizzas($ 17.50 each with one topping) for delivery. I gave specific instructions about the importance of delivering to my classroom and the person who took my call assured me that the driver can make that happen. Half an hour later while I was in the middle of my meeting, the driver called to ask me to go outside of the building to wait for him. I told him that this is impossible since my meeting was already ongoing and it would be a detriment for me to walk off the meeting at that very moment. The driver whose name is Bama, insisted that his lack of access to parking requires me to go outside in order for me to receive the pizzas. So I did. Without telling me where his car was, Bama led me on a wild goose chase all around the school perimeter, the principal’s office, back to the classroom, and finally I found him on an obscure street corner looking pissed at me for taking so long to find him. In between that time, I missed a good 20 minutes on this very important meeting that I was supposed to facilitate. I talked to my colleague afterward and he also had the same experience with the establishment. So this Round Table location which already has earned an «F» grade from my last review has now earned two more for the blunders that caused me and my colleagues time and worthless headaches. It’s time to shut this place down for fraud and incompetence.

I liked Round Table in the student center at UCSD last year, so walking by when I was waiting for a tire repair this afternoon, I thought… why not? Why not? 1. Pizza tasted like frozen pizza. 2. Wings tasted like frozen wings. 3. Servers not friendly, fighting with someone on phone the whole time. 4. Restaurant dingy. Looks like nobody cares anymore. Never going back.

Why are people so harsh on Round Table? They have funny commercials and their pizza is consistently good. When I’m craving the pizza of my youth, it’s RTP, not Cheese Board! This location is reliable(the pizza is ready for pickup and it’s very clean in there)

With so many good pizza choices nearby(Pie in the Sky, Cheeseboard, Gioia, even Extreme Pizza) I have no idea why anyone would go to a dying branch of one of the worst pizza chains on a depressed stretch of University Ave. But I made that mistake once, and was rewarded with some seriously cardboard-like pizza. Never again.

I am ashamed. I like pizza from large chains. Even in Berkeley =( :Hides behind a rock: I’d been craving Round Table’s Chicken Gourmet for a while… grew up on that stuff so can you blame me? Got a personal size pizza here, and the guy was so nice! The pizza was great, just loaded with toppings and came out warm and gooey. Nomnomnom. Surprisingly though, more expensive than what you get at smaller stores like Cheeseboard, but I guess those have less variety. I feel like at Berkeley, it’s the large chains that struggle to survive. The restaurant was large and clean too. Quite empty though o.O. What made my experience even better was finding a pooh-vending machine here. I got a pooh dressed as a circus horse!

I used to order from here. It’s Round Table, not bad for the national chains. And the place was close to me and the pizza arrived fast. Then the other day they told me they wouldn’t deliver to me because I ordered a medium pizza. This puzzled me because I’d always ordered a medium before and had it delivered no problem. They said I needed more than one topping for delivery. Ok. So, I added sausage and the guy said, «still not enough.» Smelling a shakedown I hung up and ordered from North Beach Pizza instead which(see my review) has better pizza and they deliver mediums!

Ordered pizzas and pizzas arrived cold and stale. It tasted like leftover pizza. Called for a refund or discount, driver was sent back. They wanted to give $ 5 refund. Driver called store, store manager said he couldn’t refund because we had eaten some of the pizza. We offered to send back what we hadn’t eaten of the pizza for even half of the amount paid. Clerk at store said it was unethical to refund money. We waited over an hour for this pizza and were hungry and tehn disappointed. Pizza was not the high quality pizza one would expect from Round Table. Round Table did not fulfill it’s expectation of quality pizza. The reason we ordered and paid $ 30 was for Round Table quality pizza. Then the driver started yelling at us for making him come back to our house. He was very rude and the customer treatment in this case was unacceptable. We did nothing to merit this treatment, simply pointing out the fact that there pizza was not fulfilling expectation.

I think out of all the big national chains, Round Table is my favorite. Though they are not cheap when you get a big pizza, this location at least used to have a lunch hour special in which you can get a personal size pizza and a small salad for a really good price. There were many workday lunches when we got the cheap combo, a beer, and some daytime TV to get away from the office. The slacker guys who work there are nice, but the manager was a total asshole. One time, he outright refused to make me a salad after they ran out of the ones they pre-assembled in the morning, even though the pizza-salad combo hours were still in effect. I ended up complaining and getting a coupon for a free pizza from Round Table HQ, which I used to treat myself and some co-workers to the biggest, most expensive pizza on the menu. The slacker dudes were cracking up at this fuck-you gesture, saying to the manager«Man, you’re gonna loooooove this…» I give that memory 5 out of 5 stars.
