Polyglottist

What drew me to Polyglottist at the beginning is its instructors who all have or are getting their PhDs at UC Berkeley and they also teach there. It was a great opportunity for me to basically take a UC Berkeley course without being a student there. It is one of very few language schools out there that has those kinds of instructors. I studied French with Olga, and my language skills went to a different level because of it. I have experience with several language tutors who teach a lot of grammar without ever teaching you how to speak the language or how to apply the grammar they teach you. I also have experience with several language tutors who were native speakers, but not actual language teachers.
Olga taught me how to really use my language well. I go to France very often and I noticed how easy it became for me to communicate with other people there. My wife took some Italian classes with Oscar, one of the instructors. She already knew some Italian before studying, but her Italian significantly improved afterwards. We went to Italy in June and I was impressed how easily she communicated with everyone. It made me want to study Italian with Oscar too.
I also really liked the fact that the classes are very small. There are never more than six people in each class. The atmosphere in the classes is very friendly. It makes you want to come back every time. I met a lot of interesting people who travel, work, or study in other countries. I definitely recommend that you take classes at Polyglottist if you are planning to travel, work, or study abroad and want to truly learn a language.
