I have been a patient of Dr. Freedman’s for many years. He is a man of extraordinary competence and ethics. I had seen many therapists for severe depression before I began seeing Dr. Freedman. None of my previous providers were able to understand the seriousness of my condition. Dr. Freedman honed in on it immediately. For a number of years I strongly resisted Dr. Freedman’s therapy. He never repudiated me and consistently maintained a patient and caring attitude. Also he was willing to try numerous drugs to augment my therapy. After about 20 different ones we finally found one that worked and my depression is almost non-existent. His willingness to try many different medications is impressive as is his knowledge of pharmaceuticals. In addition, Dr. Freedman is the only doctor I have seen who took my narcolepsy seriously and prescribed the appropriate medicine to address this condition. I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Freedman’s approach to therapy. He is extremely insightful, caring and compassionate. Thank you, Dr. Freedman!!!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Freedman for many years, and he has been extremely helpful. Not only is he a great psychiatrist, he also knows a lot about internal medicine, which often makes his treatment very«holistic,» and especially beneficial. I would definitely recommend him.

He is not an ethical doctor. When I went into his private practice he was always late and disheveled. His office is messy and I remember distinctly he dressed very sloppy. Red flags in the beginning of why would I go to this person to get my life in order. Before knowing I should always check with my insurance first before getting blood tests to make sure they are all covered, I saw Dr. Freedman. He told me with confidence that they would be covered so marked off nearly the whole list of tests saying why not get this checked out and this .and this… and this… and so on. 1 month later I get stuck with nearly a $ 400 bill of tests that my insurance didn’t cover. He did not help compensate anything. Yet in the future, a doctor should not act so certain of one’s coverage when they do not know anything about it. Hence stuck with a $ 400 bill. ALWAYSCHECKYOURINSURANCECOVERAGEYOURSELF. It was a growing pain, I learned the hard way. Plus I should have reported malpractice on his end since he prescribed me the wrong medication for my symptoms. Stay away for your own life and sanity.
