Their Coffee is the best on Northside! Abe’s is great! Wonderful customer service and genuine friendliness. Tamales: Great! Tacos: Great! Sandwiches: Great! All very fresh and Tasty with unique spices. We recently catered a lunch with them and that did not disappoint. Got a ton of praises over the food. Thank you Abe’s Café!

Digging this new north berkeley spot. I recently had the steak sandwich, which the woman working the register said was her favorite and it didn’t disappoint. It was a good portion of sort of a bulgogi cut of steak one well toasted bread with a fairly large salad on the side. I’m interested in their tacos and the like as well. The breakfast options also seem solid. They also cater events so it might be a good alternative to the tried and true berkeley student meeting options.

Best food on north side. Everything is great. The aqua fresca is very refreshing. Abe is also a really cool and friendly guy. It’s a shame that the city of Berkeley is trying to squash this wonderful new business with their bureaucracy(they made him take out his seating for no reason other than some kind of bureaucratic power trip, apparently. Hopefully temporary.). Stay strong Abe!

This place is great. Definitely my favor spot on Euclid. The steak sandwich is delicious and the pambazo is unique and flavorful(chorizo, potatoes, cheese, and bread dipped in salsa). I love the chicken tacos and the tamales as well. Everything comes with a nice side salad. All the food is clearly made with attention to flavor; there’s a complexity to the ingredients and sauces that you don’t find at most sandwich shops. Plus, the owner is very friendly and the place has a great vibe. Highly recommended!

Abraham is fantastic! Most friendly and delicious coffee experience you’ll ever have. He remembers each and every one of his customers. I never even have to say what I want, he just starts making my double Americano and asking how my life is. This is the small, neighborhood café that everyone loves! He can also cater your coffee and cookie needs for seminars, meetings, etc.

Super delicious! Make sure to check out the Dailey specials. I have tried the taco plate and a sandwich so far. Both really yummy! The sandwich bread was fantastic. I will definitely come back and try other items in the menu. Abe is such a nice guy who used to be Nefeli café barista.

Service super friendly, got the steak sandwich and it was awesome. The bread was nice and crispy on the outside and the beef was nice and spicy. Served with a simple green salad. We tried all three agua frescas and they were all very fresh– got the watermelon. Definitely coming back!

Abe is the nicest guy ever and we have been ordering a lot of catering for breakfast and lunch. He’s super flexible, timely and listens to our needs. Tamales are really good and sometimes when I need a little something for breakfast I’ll stop by on my way in for a breakfast burrito since they open at 7:30! They’re also really good in a pinch! Before I placed an order with Abe’s, several people I work shared compliments about the new café. Happy to support a good guy and new local business.

Stopped in for a sandwich… actually, I was walking by, glanced in at the menu, and received a friendly hard-sell from behind the counter. I ended up getting the chicken melt, and they recommended a different bread when I asked for something softer than the baguette. The bread was great, the sandwich was great. I think I preferred it to the Stuffed Inn across the street. I’ll definitely be back.

When it started couple of months back it was really good. The portion has steadily gotten smaller, taste dropped. I also noticed they are not keen on giving thehe receipt, I don’t know why.

Oh damn. The tamales are for real. Try the spinach and cheese. Also, prepare yourself for a very kind, friendly proprietor.

Delicious. Everyone in the neighborhood has known a long time that Abraham is the best barista on Euclid, so it’s exciting to see him open his own shop. They’ve been open a week now and I’ve come in every day, and it’s exciting to see them experiment with the menu — a tasty mix of classic American and classic Mexican dishes. My favorite things I’ve had: the mushroom sandwich, the strawberry aguas fresca(fresh juice, and tamales. And of course the coffee! PS: If your group at Cal gets catered lunches ask your admin to order from them!

I make it around this area every couple of weeks for work and today I was pleased to see that the barista who essentially ran Nefeli Café next door has opened his own little shop. A small menu with some sandwiches and really good coffee. Nefeli has always had far and away the best coffee on the block, but Abe will give them some competition. I had a chicken melt sandwich from Abe’s and it was very tasty. Lots of flavor and fantastic bread. The best deli — style sandwich on the block(believe me, I’ve tried them all). If I had to pick on something, I’d says the chicken was a tad dry, but the flavor of the sandwich made up for it. Excited to watch this business grow and evolve as this is a great example of the American Dream at work!
