Friendly’s

So I knew from the start this would’ve a bad idea. My daughter suggested this place as her grandparents bring her here.
We stopped in yesterday for a quick lunch after leaving Kohls. Simply put everything here is junk. The food stinks and the service is severely lacking. I ordered the chicken melt, the fries were good but your typical frozen stuff. The sandwich was frozen chicken tenders with cold bacon on it. My wife ordered the chicken quesadilla, meh, she said the chicken tastes like rubber. Finally my daughter ordered the hot dog and Mac and cheese. She’s 3 so she’s easy to please. The hot dog was just crap! Wasn’t all beef, I specially asked the waitress before we ordered and she said it was. Deli hot dogs are just junk and if I would have known my daughter wouldn’t have eaten. The Mac and cheese was the typical Kraft. Literally everything is frozen and nothing is fresh.
Besides the food being terrible the service was worse. We were sat almost immediately by the manager. This place could also use a touch up. Very old restaurant! Looks dated and dirty. The server must have know the people in the other booth because she continued to talk to them 5 minutes after we sat down. I literally had to get her attention for drinks. She was very fast with us and didn’t seem like she wanted to be bothered. If you want crap food and worse service then check this place out. This is the prime example as to why we avoid chain restaurants. I will not listen to my 3 year old anymore lol. As we were leaving, our service (A) was out back of the restaurant on her phone. Never again!

The ice cream sunde was decent with hot fudge and marshmallow cream. Other than that, a horrible experience.
Unless you are taking a group of young kids with no tastebuds out for a calorie fest and don’t care if the place may not pass a health inspection, I would avoid it.
Very dirty, the bottom of my sunde glass was dirty and sticky, decorations from the 70s (looked like it at least,) and it took 20 minutes to get seated with only 8 tables full.
Waitress was nice but the experience was not.

This was the worst friendlys I have ever been to. My fiancé and I ordered a strawberry milkshake that came out with absolutely no flavor and when we told the waitress about it she replied with a song and dance about how they didn’t put syrup in it and don’t know what they are doing. We decided to switch to ordering a vanilla milkshake which took the entire dinner to receive. Then my fiances burger came out with barely any curly fries, basically just crumbs and my chicken and fries arrived cold. When we told the waitress she said she asked the manager to come over to us but she told her she didn’t have time she was too busy. Well excuse the hell out of me ! I have never in my life! You are never to busy to come speak to a dissatisfied customer. The waitress brought us new food and the manager finally comes over and says what happened with an attitude when we told her she replied I have a whole new staff that doesn’t know what to do. Lol! I really could care less, when I’m paying money I expect good service and experience. The manager is incompetent and should be demoted to an ice cream scooper ! We will never return to this location and I will be calling corporate on Monday to notify them about this disappointment ! To those reading stay away and go to Golden Corral or chilis which are right on the same road!

I’ve been going to friendly’s for many years. It’s always been a good restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You would never think a place like this would have good Breakfast but they do. Everyone should give it a try. I got the lumberjack breakfast. And came with scrabble eggs, 3 peices of bacon, and French toast, and a freind of mying got the Samething. And can’t go wrong, with 2 breakfast and 1 orange juice and coffee for $ 11. Yup that’s all. Special going buy one breakfast get 2^nd breakfast at half price. the dinners are even better to. Always good.
I’ve always been a fan of the burgers and of course the Buffalo chicken sandwiches and strips the fries always have a nice crisp and seasoning to them.
It’s a family freindly restaurant. Gets packed on the weekends, so plan on waiting awile to be seated.
Service is always fast, always seated 10 min from entering! On a weekday. Always enjoy the fudge sundaes. Just what they are known for.
Mabe the near future I will give other stuff a try on the menu. Everything looks so good. And always comes out hot.

I have great memories of bringing my now adult daughter to this location and many times she could eat free.
As a family just starting out it was a way we could go out and have a meal and not be out a fortune. She loved the clown sundaes the kids can order with their meals.
It is still on the menu when I last went there and saw kids still scarfin them down.
The sandwiches are fine and the fries are good. Ice cream is excellent.
Now my complaints
1. Time to fix the broken toliets.
2. Remodel? at least get new carpet this is getting a little trashy looking.
3. Please don’t seat me next to some stranger when the whole place
is empty
4. Sorry waitstaff walk a couple of more feet.
5. Refills? Why can’t the staff stop by between dropping off the plate and throwing the check at you? Get some decent mangement in and you can be as good as you once were.

Unless you want crappy service lead by a moron of a night manager avoid this location by all means. The night manager is an idiot and the rest of the staff are running around trying to manager things with no direction what so ever.
