What a fun place to go with a group. The small plates are the perfect size for sharing and there is something for everyone. Loved the cauliflower and beef shawarma the best. We were told by friends about the date cake so saved room for dessert. So glad we did as it was the best dessert i ever had. No kdding this cake is that good. Great service and a fun atmoshere makes a great night out with friends.

I go to this restaurant every chance I get. It is Middle Eastern food with a Southwestern twist. The combination of which leads to a very memorable experience for your taste buds! My husband and I like to make a meal of multiple small plates and one main entrée so that we can enjoy as many flavors as possible. I highly recommend their Joolz cauliflower, baked feta, mezze sampler, and grilled chicken kabob entrée(the garlic dipping sauce is to die for). The libations are generous and come in fun versions of classics. The waitstaff is the only part keeping my review at a 4 at this time because I have had a few experiences with forgetfulness and slow service. The prices are well suited for the food you receive and the atmosphere of downtown Bend. Make sure you check out this jewel of a restaurant(pun intended) because I promise it will become a favorite for you as well.

Loved the Elk Chili. Grape leaf wrapped app was amazing. Visiting Bend, this gave me the greatest impression.

Our last experience here was very disappointing. In years past, Joolz has been a great restaurant with fast service and very friendly waitstaff. However, this time was another story. Our waiter(Ben) was curt and sassy and frankly extremely rude when asked a simple question about our party moving tables. The service was SO slow and our appetizers took nearly an hour to arrive at the table. I hate to write this review because our experience at Joolz has been fantastic in the past. Hopefully things improve or we probably won’t be back again. The food was fantastic though!

Joolz may be 4.5 stars in Bend, but is 3 stars relative to other cities and towns with decent food. Good food is very hard to find in Bend. $ 19 for an austere chicken kabob with a half cup of rice? Please.

In little olé Bend and found food of my heritage! Camel and Hookah décor make me so happy. Just missing some belly dancers and actual hookahs to smoke and this would be heaven. This is Lebanese food with a modern flair. Great cocktails as well. Great baba ghanoush, prawns are excellent, and the forbidden rice braised chicken with nuts and lubni is tasty. The ingredients are high quality and there are so many more dishes I want to try here. Will defiantly come back and this place is a must when you are in bend!

I am pretty sure I haven’t had better Kibbe. I am always reminded why it’s hard to get a table after 5 pm.

AH-MAZING!!! Hubs and I went for one of our very rare«date nights» without the kiddos. Sat at the bar and they had a happy hour going until 9PM at the bar! $ 1 off drinks and a special menu. We tried a chicken pita sandwich and a beef schwarma, both came with fries and were like $ 10. Also did the sampler platter with stuffed grape leaves, hummus and baba ganoush with pita and veggies. SOSOSO Delicious! If you haven’t tried it, do it! We will be back next date night!

Wow! My new favorite restaurant in Bend. I love mid-eastern food, but to classify this as mid-eastern food is kind of a disservice. The Dukkah nuts, the haloumi, and the Elk Kafta burger are unbelievable. The flavors are like none I have ever tasted, the place is cute, the staff are nice, and the prices are very reasonable. If you’re gonna have cocktails, try the Paloma or the Beirut ’75… If you want something different and amazing, do NOT miss Joolz!

I and husband traveled from Los Angeles California as road trip to Seattle. We stopped Bend and decided to stay one night. We searched good restaurants and were craving Mediterranean food. I picked up Joolz and it was totally right decision. This place was bomb! We went to so many Mediterranean restaurants in past but this place was the best so far. Everything was so delicious, all staffs were so kind and professional. We were so sad that we can’t come again easily!

Very tasty experience here two nights ago. The hummus was delicious and freshly made. The garlic dipping sauce for the chicken kabobs was great with so much flavor but not too overpowering. Service was really nice. A great find in Bend for us.

My favorite spot for a flavorful yummy healthy dinner. Always perfect every time. Cocktails are delightful and I’ve even been to a couple parties in their back dinning room which was so cool. Professional, knowledgeable, staff. My mainstay.

I lived in New York City and the Bay Area. I’ve been to Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, Barcelona, and others. Joolz is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere! What an unexpected find in the Oregon high desert. I go to Joolz multiple times every time I visit Bend. Nuff said.

I love Joolz! The atmosphere is great and the food is amazing! I have never been disappointed in a meal there. The Lebanese Middle Eastern style food is the best out of any other middle eastern places in town! The owners are very nice and Ramses is a great chef/owner! The Moroccan Camel Wings are my favorite side dish. For a main course the chicken kebabs and Fried halloumi cheese are amazing. My husband also loves the burgers and home made date cake for dessert. They have an awesome happy hour menu too with great prices on their appetizers– Joolz is a great date night idea!

I walked in around 9 on a Friday night, and maybe should have turned around. I waited at the entrance for a little while before being greeted, and when the host finally came over he seemed a bit confused that we were coming in so late. He told us to grab a spot at the bar. So we walked over, but there was only one open stool. We went back and asked him if we could sit at one of the many open tables, and he again seemed surprised at the suggestion: «oh, yea, ok, grab any table.» We ordered a few appetizers and a falafel sandwich to share. I would say it was decent, but nothing worth going back for. The hummus and elk was tasty, the kibbe was good, but I’m not sure I actually like kibbe(really strong lamb flavor), and the falafel was also yummy, but not necessarily worth the price. Perhaps this place is better for happy hour, but otherwise I would say the price and service will keep me away from future visits.

My boyfriend is part Lebanese, so we were very excited to find a Lebanese restaurant when we moved to Bend. I would say that Joolz is not authentic Lebanese, but it’s Lebanese with local influences, which is not a bad thing. Our favorite dish highlights the local influences — it’s the Hummus on the Range, which is homemade hummus with roasted elk pieces. It is delicious and the elk really adds a savory touch. My boyfriend always wants to order two. We’ve also tried a few of their other dishes: Spiced Olives: nothing special; you could get something similar at any good olive bar. Fried Cauliflower: not as fried as we’re used to; the cauliflower still has a bit of a crunch, because the pieces are so large they don’t cook entirely in the fryer. But if you like that, you’ll appreciate this dish. I prefer mine more fried and done. Kebabs: Both the chicken and lamb kebabs are delicious and well done. The plates come with two kebabs each, which is the perfect portion size for one person. Unfortunately you won’t have any leftovers, though! Baklava: we tried the apricot baklava. Not the best I’ve ever had. I really miss the rosewater honey drizzled traditional baklava. Service is usually pretty decent(faster than other Bend restaurants), and the décor, while not Lebanese, is fun. It feels like you’re in Morocco, eating Lebanese food.

We have been in to Joolz too many times to count since our first visit in 2010. Each experience has been delicious for food and delightful for service. Whether by ourselves or with another couple, everyone has enjoyed it. Tonight, which was one of our last visits to Joolz as residents of Bend, my husband and I said to each we wished we could tuck Joolz in our pockets and take it with us. All people are welcome here, the food is fanatastic every time, the prices are reasonable and the service is stellar. Given timing is everything, if you are in when they still have the fresh asparagus salad and the eggplant sliders on the menu, try those. Tonight for an early dinner after a taxing day, we listened to Sinatra and Nora Jones and some Middle Eastern music in mix to pefectly match the décor and at a level, as always, that supports conversation and shared an order of each of those and two of Joolz’ always luscious coctails. Two cocktails and two small plates clocked in at a mere $ 31 to amply satisfy two people of smaller appetites. As always, this is a welcoming vibe across age groups and walks of life. Refreshing in Bend’s tourist centric dining that increasingly is becoming«YODUDE cool beer» or «elite hipsters» in focus. It is also level in and nicely accessible with enough space between tables to avoid the sardine can seating prevalent elsewhere to pack ‘em in. Joolz also has menu that is equally enticing for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. Ahhhhh… some all around.
