Wow this place has great food. Our favorite is the prawns & mushrooms… but we love the carne asada, chicken, fresh fish… it’s all good! The name of the game here is high quality. Prices reflect that, but what a treat of a meal Baltazar’s is. The cadillac marg is to die for!

Amazing mexican food. Best place in town, we ordered the parrillada para dos was an excellent choice, enough food for two and amazing seafood.

Baltazars never disappoints! Fresh seafood, jumbo margaritas what’s not to love! I tried the Tampico trio tonight and it was amazing! Don’t miss this one, I recommend reservations.

The service and food was amazing. The halibut in both the fajitas an itzapa platter were prepared perfectly. The service excellent very attentive.

I have never heard of a Mexican seafood restaurant, and to be honest I was a little weary to try it since I’m not a fan of even a fish taco… but I have to say, this place went above and beyond my expectations!!! Even my husband, who never gives reviews, was extremely impressed. The prices are a little on the high end averaging around $ 28 a plate, but the portions are large and quality high. Service was awesome, even on Valentine’s day with a last minute reservation for a party of 5. I certainly recommend this place to everyone for any occasion!

This place started off great, nice atmosphere, really good drinks and a wonderful guacamole! Our waiter was very quick and attentive, but then our food came… we ordered the seafood rellinos and Los Cabo plate. The seafood in both of these dishes was horrible, it left a terrible taste in our mouths, our dinners were not edible. The waiter took my husbands dinner off our bill and I didn’t touch mine either, the seafood was mushy and bland. I would never go back to this place again unless I was just going to drink margaritas and eat some guacamole(which was $ 15 and was probably only one large avocado).

Really great place ! The Prawns were some of the biggest I’ve ever had. The fajitas came with all the fixings… And then there was the pitcher of margaritas. It’s not the cheapest place around, but everything was great…

Ok where do I start, thought this place would be great to try but I was wrong to be fair they do have wonderful carne but the salsa is bland. I ordered the ahi and let me tell you I’ve had ahi from all over the world so I’m a Ahi snob but I ordered it here and it was AWFUL I MEANAWFUL it tastes like they were trying to pass Atlantic salmon(icky farm raised pale pink) as Tuna that’s no joke I couldn’t get the horrid taste outta my mouth(very salty and fishy) rest of the night needles to say I NEVER send food back but this needed to go before I got sick. This place could be something great but it’s expensive and less than average at best.

I am blown away by the old time hospitality the staff here provided, we haven’t experienced service like that in years! They bent over backwards to accommodate our group even after they closed. The food was absolutely amazing! And the margaritas too… I will visit and tell everyone I know to visit every time I come to Bend!

Yet another Phenomenal dinner at Baltazar’s! The perfect end to a wonderful Christmas, Baltazar was so welcoming and attentive to our every need. We always order the the Acapulco Burrito, which is outstanding but decided to try something new, at the recommendation of Baltazar tried the Plato Gualtulco … INCREDIBLE! Positively the best meal I have ever had! Everything about this restaurant is first class, top notch. Ambience, service, food and definitely the margarita’s, I can not say enough. By far our favorite restaurant in all of Central Oregon

The fish is so fresh and the owner is wonderful. Get the halibut! It’s great quality and a super friendly environment. We would go here again in a heartbeat!

Was in town to visit a friend in the hospital, so asked him for a recommendation. I will follow his recommendations for the rest of my life. Baltazar’s is the best Mexican my son and I have ever had. The service was over the top, we wanted for nothing. I was a little worried when I saw the prices since I was with my teenage son that will eat anyone out of house and home. The portion for the price, along with the high quality, was worth everyone penny. This was the highlight of our visit to Bend this trip.

Took dad for his birthday, 4 people $ 220+tip, sure is proud of his food! Yes we had drinks, but 2 pitchers of weak margaritas are NOT worth $ 110! The«seafood» is cheap whitefish and tastes as such, even though the menu implies crab, shrimp and scallops, I didn’t find any in my flauta, or relleno. I will not be back whether I was the one paying or not. I could get better from a portland food cart for a quarter of the price, and on top of that, who refuses customers their patio on a summer night when it’s stifling inside?

The food here is always amazing. The highest quality food in town with a great atmosphere. We spend all our anniversaries there.

I had the Huachulpa Pescado ixtapa, which is supposed to be red snapper. Tonight it was halibut cheeks, because, the chef explained, His shipment of snapper was not up to his standards. The dish was divine. The halibut was buttery and flavorful, and the fresh fruit and avocado complemented the flavors beautifully. The entrée was carefully prepared with great attention to the balance of flavors. The black beans were tasty. The salsa had a pleasant kick. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was charming– I sat outside and when it got chilly there was a blanket to wrap around my shoulders. The price was reasonable, given the location and the fresh high quality ingredients. Service was prompt, warm and friendly, and the food came pretty quickly. I highly recommend this place and I will be back!

Came here for dinner yesterday with a few friends and this place was a let down. Everything here is pricey and they want to charge you $ 5 to split a plate?! Lol! Food is very bland and salty and the quality is not fresh at all. Wouldn’t recommend this place as there are tons of restaurants in Bend.

Really disappointed. My significant other and I had came here during summer and had a fabulous experience — the food, drinks, and service were all on point! Flash forward to Valentine’s Day, they were much busier than usual. Our server seemed rushed and spoke to the both of us maybe twice. We ordered the lobster enchiladas and a dish with red snapper. The lobster enchiladas had water running throughout the plate, wet and soggy is not my kind of enchilada. The red snapper was VERY fishy — not fresh. Our plates were removed before we were finished, as if we were being rushed out. Very disappointed. Especially at the price we paid.

Our office manager chose this restaurant for our, very small, office Christmas dinner. I was ambivalent at first. I’d heard that the food was good but that the owner was condescending and rude. I was prepared to be disappointed. I wasn’t. The man(possibly the owner?) who seated us and took our drink orders was kind and helpful, even jovial at times. There was a fun group at the bar having after work drinks and chatting. They weren’t too loud but were having a good time and enjoying the atmosphere. The most unanticipated part of this dinner was that the food is Mexican! There is a large fish on the outside of the restaurant and no indication, that I saw, that this was anything other than a seafood restaurant. Perhaps I’m a bit unworldly, but Balthazars doesn’t sound Mexican to me… Anyway, I had the Plato… something yummy with a trio of different seafood concoctions. All of which were good. The only part that wasn’t extraordinary was the tamale. It had a very thick«crust» and a couple of teaspoons of filling in the whole thing. I left the masa and ate the filling, which was very good. I had a large margarita, which was definitely LARGE and delicious. A friend had the Ahi which was, blessedly, not overcooked. They forgot the prawns in my husbands meal, but rectified it immediately when he mentioned it. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks and I’ll be back to sample something else another time!

When you rate something on Unilocal 5 stars it says«Woohoo! As good as it gets!» and that is exactly what Baltazar’s is… As good as it gets! My go to is the Camarones El Pescador! Which is prawns wrapped in BACON! Baltzar’s margaritas are amazing too. If you haven’t tried it you are missing out!

Very disappointed in the menu pricing on the internet vs what is actually at the restaurant. Approximately 70% higher at the restaurant! Food was good. We had prawns, steak, chicken fajitas. $ 70 for fajitas was too much! Had signature grand marguerites for $ 11 per the menu but on the bill they charged $ 12! Accordingly we gave an inferior tip. Diner beware if you look at menu online. Go to La Rosa or Hola for good Mexican and reasonable pricing.
