This place was ready to open as of 3÷12÷11, so how can I NOT be the first to review?
This place is 50% ice cream shop, 50% motorcycle museum, and 100% COOL!
So the ice cream is assorted Blue Bell (from Brenham, TX), but they will also offer gourmet coffees and hot chocolate in the winter. The ‘cool factor’ (OK, besides the ice cream) is provided by the vintage racing motorcycle collection belonging to Brooks Gremmel.
Brooks started racing with the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association in 1999 (well past his 50^th birthday) and won several road-​racing sprint championships and was named to its Hall of Fame.
Today, Brooks is responsible for resurrecting Ben Wheeler through the Ben Wheeler Development Company (BWDC). But when complete, Gremmels will have provided Ben Wheeler with a downtown and surrounding areas with sustainability and profitability for future generations to enjoy with restaurants, a winery, shops and artisans’ wares, a fully restored park complete with gazebos and stages for entertainment, a farmers market, a classic car museum and motorcycle hall of fame. He only charges store owners and artisans $ 1 per month for rent!
Now THAT is cool!
