Exclusive Trendz is absolutely fantastic! About three months ago, I went there for the first time to get my hair cut. Five minutes after sitting in the waiting lounge, I was summoned to a «women’s» hairdressing chair with a sink behind it. Confused, I looked at the owner and tried to relay that I was not there to get a perm (those days are long gone). She simply laughed, and assured me I had no need to worry. Another five minutes, another woman shows up and asks me to lean back. Even more confused, I begrudgingly did. Then, she proceeded to wash, shampoo, and scrub my hair and head. For a moment, I felt like a VIP, and that all my troubles were washing away – then I opened my eyes, and she was drying my head with a towel. Although my masculine inclinations felt threatened by a towel wrapped around my head, my scalp felt, and smelled, great! That was the highlight of my experience at Exclusive Trendz. The haircut – by a dude (I still don’t trust women cutting my hair, but that’s just me)– was also fantastic, and affordable. If you want the VIP treatment, go to Exclusive Trendz.

I have followed the hairdressers here for a decade. Angie is fabulous with hair. She is very good at making sure that your hair is healthy and won’t do just anything to your hair because you want it. She does fabulous cuts, her relaxers aren’t harsh and my hair comes out silky every time. The salon is clean, you are in and out (no waiting).
For black women trying to grow your hair out regular appointments here had my ear length hair down my back in only 2 years. She has great prices especially for students at UMCP. For everyone who has ever felt like they have to go all the way back «home» to get their hair done. YOU DON’T she will treat your hair right!
On another note. Everrol who cuts hair in the shop does an amazing job, his chair is never empty. Def a good look before going out in DC for the weekend.
