We love our kc area bbq restaurants and had never ate here before. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and beans. My wife ordered the pork burnt ends, potato wedges and green beans. My chicken was very thin, overlooked and not much flavor in the batter. Mashed potatoes were obviously instant and subpar as well. My wife’s pork burnt ends are the main reason I felt compelled to take the time and write a review. They had absolutely no burnt part to them at all, no smoke flavor and had the consistency and flavor of ham. We actually thought the waitress or kitchen had made a mistake and sent us ham. We asked the waitress and she said that’s how they cook burnt ends there. I thought, wow that’s just ridiculous and ANYBODY that knows anything at all about bbq at all should know better than this. The waitress was very nice and the place has a nice atmosphere but we certainly will never be going back and will be telling others of our experience. Some of the other reviews people like their food and that’s fine but if u want burnt ends or chicken fried chicken do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

Just ok. Nothing to write home about. Service was fast & friendly but personally thought the cheeseburger I had was much superior to their pulled pork sandwich. Which is odd for a bbq joint. If you’re in a hurry and don’t want fast food then this place is ok.

Great service, great BBQ. We found this place by chance as we was passing by. We was looking for some place different to eat on the way to Branson Mo. We are staying in Branson for a week and we are going to stop on our way back. It was that good.

The guys I work with seem to really like this place. I think its less than average though. The helping sizes are not very big. The wait staff is about average. The food tastes OK. The bathrooms are not very nice, and could use updating. The good thing, is you can get in and out fairly quickly. There is plenty of parking. It looks like a mom and pop shop, but I’ve had better.

We visited here after quite a while. Growing up in Belton, I used to eat here all the time. I married and moved up by the airport, so it’s been about 5 years since visiting. I didn’t even need to look at the menu. Stuffed meat potato for me. That is what I’ve always gotten. The only downside is that is is a bit smaller than they used to be, but just as delicious. Definitely will sporadically come here as we pass through town!

Not a bad BBQ place if you are looking at staying in Belton. They have a very friendly staff and a comfortable environment.

This place used to be really great. I remember eating here as a kid and loving it. But unfortunately it has really gone downhill the last ten years or so. The quality of the food isn’t the same as it used to be, but the prices have gone way up. I used to eat here at least once a week, but now I only go maybe only a few times a year. The food can be really good if you get them on a good day, but more often than not, it’s not a good day. That’s why I go there less and less. I guess I am still holding out hope that they will turn around. The spicy bbq sauce is great and is sometimes the only saving grace. I just wish it would turn around and be like it once was.

Really bad. Waitresses not friendly, food over priced, BBQ was not good. No smoke flavor at all. Should’ve known… If you can’t smell it outside, it’s probably not worth your stop.

Omg I don’t know what these people are eating. Mine was nasty. My chicken had a sauce I can’t even identify. Was that mayo on BBQ chicken? The cooks and kitchen staff were cussing and rude and loud. All because I said the food was awful. About the only thing I could eat was the pulled pork and it was just ok. The briskit reminded me of shoe leather. Fried pickles were ok. I won’t be returning.

Atmosphere and wait staff was pleasant but the food was not good. I got the ribs they said we’re just out of the smoker, except the skin on the ribs had the consistency of rubber. I will not be going back, this is not KC bar b q.

In 2009 we stopped at Oden’s BBQ on our way home from Texas. We remember it being amazing. Sometimes things are better looking back… not this place, it was every bit as good as we remembered! We had dinner for two with smoked brisket, ham, burnt ends and ribs. It came with their BBQ beans and fries. Let’s start with the ham. Normally I am not a fan of ham, but WOW. This ham sets the bar. It was moist and smoky, without being overwhelming. The ribs were perfectly cooked and juicy. The brisket was perhaps a little dry, but still wonderful. The burnt ends. I don’t know that I can say anything about them except Wow! You owe it to yourself to try them. I typically don’t eat beans. My DH insisted that I try them. I loved them. The French fries-amazing. We drove 9 hours to come back! Must stop. BTW, they have a smoke box and smoke everything on site.

wow, unassuming«family» place. Full of happy locals. The BBQ was fantastic. I had pulled pork and ribs while coveting a friends turkey. I know you will go for the BBQ, but they served me the best fries I have ever had in my life.

Pulled pork was mushy and overcooked. Burnt ends were neither burnt nor ends. Corn on the cob was still frozen in the middle. The waitress asked for the corn back and put it in a plastic dessert dish to microwave. FYI, microwaving plastic is bad for you, and microwaving corn on the cob dries it out. When we were paying the staff, or the Oden family, glared at us as if it were our fault that the food was not right. We should have noticed that the place was not busy on a Friday night and stayed away. Won’t go back.

Everything was delicious. We had the appetizer combo, steaks, tenderloin and ribs and it was all excellent. Only complaint was on a 90 degree day they had no A/C on. It was pretty uncomfortable. I think it was cooler outside. Nicest servers in town! Just go on a cooler day.

We just had lunch here, and I loved it! The fried pickles were some of the best I’ve ever had. The baked beans were excellent, I had the Poor Odie’s sandwich and ate every bite. Free ice cream to top it off, we will definitely be returning here.

great neighborhood restaurant. I’ve never had a bad meal and the service is always great. If you go you’ve got to try the prime-rib sandwich.
