Today’s service & food were spot on! Seems to be a favorite with the locals. Always busy!

Our experience for brunch last Sunday was very similar to the person who posted a month ago. The biscuits and gravy needed a lot of salt. The gravy is not made from scratch but rather a package. The pancakes were very dense. Everything packed flavor. She is correct that the bacon is so thin(I’m convinced it microwaved) and the prices are really cheap but then again it’s Belton there is nothing expensive in that town. We will never return.

This is not a gourmet restaurant. So, if what you are looking for is a high-end high-quality brunch experience… Go somewhere else. This is a straight up, old-fashioned, greasy spoon. You get what you pay for. no-frills, no fluff. This restaurant used to be called«Bill and Deb’s». I know this because the sign is still out front, as well as the sign that says«J and L diner». So, don’t you be confused, even if they are. They serve all the basic diner offerings. So if all you want from breakfast is eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast at a very inexpensive cost, then you will leave satisfied. This is simple food created on a low budget for people on a budget. Prices are very inexpensive and portions are reasonable. $ 5 to $ 10 will get you anything on the menu. If you like crispy bacon, this will be your go to place! They have bacon so thin you can see your self through it! And as stiff as shards of glass in your throat… Just FYI! When you leave you will be able to relive your breakfast experience all day long, the smell will linger on your clothing. If you like that smell… winner, winner! If not, just be aware.
