I’m surprised at the negative reviews. I’ve been going here for over 10 years and have been treated very well. The pizzas are critically acclaimed(by kids who have eaten pizzas everywhere) and the salads are fresh. I feel sorry for those who insist on absolute uniformity in their eating preferences. For that I offer Burger King and Starbucks. Try walking the back roads in Italy, the small restaurants on Cape Cod, any city street in Old Quebec. Life doesn’t have to be an endless procession of sameness. As to your pizza preferences you can add anything you damn well please to a Papa Murphy pizza!

After years of dealing with this owners inept business practices, tonight we’re finally done with this place. If you’ve ever dealt with the owner here you know precisely what I’m talking about, but for those of you who haven’t had the displeasure of meeting this man, let me help steer you away from total frustration. Over the years I’ve been denied adding mushrooms to an all meat pizza, fully knowing there’s an extra charge, the guy won’t do it because it’s not«Papa Murphy’s standards» and«it won’t cook right» on a separate occasion for the same request. I don’t care what you think! You’re not cooking it! I’ve been denied subbing onions for sausage, aka a $ 1 item instead of a $ 2 item according to their menu prices because he just won’t do it, no explanation. Tonight my husband phone ordered three pizzas, including a Hawaiian add jalapeños. Owner said 20 minutes so my husband went to pick them up, and upon arrival the owner argued him that a Hawaiian add jalapeños is no longer a Hawaiian, but a three topping pizza. My husband asked why when he ordered on the phone a «Hawaiian add jalapeños» the owner knew what he was talking about. The owner said a Hawaiian is Canadian bacon and pineapple, and my husband replied he knew that, but ordered a «Hawaiian add jalapeños» not a «Canadian bacon, pineapple, jalapeño». The owner then compared it to ordering a hamburger and expecting a steak at a restaurant. WTF?! I don’t care if you up charge me for adding things to my pizza, but arguing with a customer over what a Hawaiian pizza is and is not is just stupid. Long story shortened, because it’s already long enough, my husband told him to eat the pizzas himself, walked out and called me and asked what I wanted from Mi Ranchito, our favorite local Mexican place with an awesome owner who rocks at running a business and keeping loyal customers happy. We were picking up dinner for my dad as well and I told him what happened and he was so happy and thought it was so funny he was in tears because he has the same opinion about the Papa Murphy’s owner as us and has had similar experiences. Not to mention he shorts out on toppings which is a whole other negative, but we always add toppings to our Papa Murphy’s anyways, which we’ll make sure we do from other locations from now on.

The pizza is good and the location is convenient, but I find this place can improve in customer service in two specific ways: 1) Provide online ordering! Other Papa Murphy locations offer this, but this location does not. You have to call or go into the store to order. This is not how a digital society orders food these days. If they had online ordering, they probably would make a ton more money. Also, they should consider services like EAT24 to deliver their homebaked pizzas. 2) Answer the PHONE! Since they don’t have online ordering, then they need to answer the phone. The time right now is 12:54 p.m. I just tried to call and no one answered the phone. I let it ring for minutes, and I called back twice… Crickets. The official hours on the corporate website says they are open from 12:00 noon to 8 p.m.

Pizza is good, but the guy running the register is a 100% jerk. I’m surprised he hasn’t been fired yet. He gets super impatient and instantly becomes a smart ass for no reason. It’s really the only thing that needs to change. Otherwise I’d give 5 stars

I like their pizza but they wouldn’t mix red and white sauce together on a pizza for me, nor would they do a half and half with sauces. For the life of me cant understand the reason why not. Every other pizza place I’ve ever ordered from has done it.

I have been coming here forever. At least twenty years. The owners have always been 100% nice & accommodating. Tonight I was told NO in no uncertain terms that they would not make my half white sauce half red sauce. I was stunned. Yes I know it’s only a pizza but I’ve never had a problem having that order made. The kid working smiled & said NOPE not my rules & wouldn’t budge whatsoever. I explained I’ve always ordered that & there has never been s problem. End result. My man got his pizza I opted for nothing. I’m extremely disappointed & most likely won’t be going back. Thanks kid for ruining a twenty year gig.

Wow, we’ve been wanting to go here for a while. Finally did, and it’s GREAT !!! Called and placed my order told it would be ready in 20, and it was. The two employees there were very friendly, courteous & attentive. We ordered the barbecue bacon artichoke pizza. Fantastic pizza cannot wait to try the others. We just may have found our new go to pizza place…:-)

I’m glad that I’m seeing so many bad reviews here. This place is complete junk. The owners are a bunch of paranoid freaks who blame customers for everything. Their food prep area is always dirty, they yell at customers all the time. David is the biggest jerk you’ll ever meet. If you attempt to correct, they act like the government is coming to take their money and complain incessantly. Once I commented on how I appreciate labeling of calories to make healthy informed choices. He raved about how the government is telling us what to do. Damn neocon should just stay in the deep south south where he can be rude, overweight and obnoxious. Stay away from this place. You are liable to get food poisoning as they have no quality control. I saw them using moldy vegetables without hesitation. The kids working there are really nice, but David Mann is a real jerk.

I have used Unilocal regularly for 3 years, but it isn’t until now that i have been compelled to submit a review. I had ordered 1 each of the 3 chicken type pizzas, which were correctly called out at the register upon receiving them, chicken garlic, chicken bbq, chicken artichoke. The owner stacked them up and gave me the credit card receipt and I was on my way. When i got home I noticed the pizza in the middle was vegetarian, so i had the wife call ahead to let them know i was coming back to exchange so they could have it ready when i returned. When i arrived, the owner gave me the third degree as if i didn’t know what i ordered. I told him i was just in here 15 minutes ago, remember, I got the«3 chicken ones». He asked me if I was sure there hadn’t been any chicken on the pizza, as if I had pulled it off our something. Typically the wife does the order and pickup, however one thing I can attest to is I am the one who eats most of it. And one thing I know for sure is that none of the chicken pizzas have zucchini on it, which i was clear to point out existed on the pizza I had brought back. It wasn’t until that point that they started making me the correct pizza, scoffing as if i was inconvenience them, without so much as an apology for the mistake or the inconvenience they had caused.

I’m a big Papa Murphy’s fan. This location is small but clean, service is quick and ready-to-bake pizza is delicious. Other reviewers seem to have a big issue with the owner of this location but he’s completely tolerable if you’re just a little patient. Bottom line, it tastes great at good prices! I personally love their delite thin crust. I’ll definitely be back!

I have been to this pizza shop a dozen times lately. I have found this take-n-bake pizza place great value and great pizza. I can customize my ordering on the spot asking for less cheese but more sauce, and the ingredients they use are very fresh. A family size pizza can feed three people. and because it is not baked, it is like grocery with no sales tax. Baking it at home turns out to be no big deal at all, who doesn’t have an oven? So I am totally into this take-n-bake concept because it saves you good money and it is fresh and tasty.

The owner who mans the cash register and phone is RUDE!!! No customer skills whatsoever. All the previous reviews here about him are true. The one star I give this place is for the the teenagers who make the pizza. They are very nice and polite. Owner should take a cue from them!

tl;dr: Good pizza with appalling customer service from the owner, David. I really do enjoy pies from here, but caveat emptor: they come with a consistently over-sized(and unwelcome) side of condescending sarcasm and snark from the owner, David. If you enjoy every question you ask being answered with a non-clarifying, passive-aggressive question, then by all means, this is your pizza place! If you want to be belittled and made to feel stupid for trying to order a pizza over the phone AND *shudder* try to find out about specials, call ahead and suffer the wrath! If you want to be treated like a third grader when trying to use a coupon at the register, you’ve found your spot! This place used to be run better. I can’t blame the owner for burning out and phoning it in… but for real… you should just phone it in if your attitude turns everyone sour on your otherwise good product. I think he really believes he’s being funny, but in reality his behavior just makes people uncomfortable and unwilling to come back for more abuse. Pay someone decent money to answer phones and run the register, and just let the money roll in. You’ll make your life, and the lives of all your customers and employees, much much better. Can I just say I am very happy to hear that there’s a Papa Murphy’s opening closer to my place so I NEVER have to give my business to someone who doesn’t appreciate it, like David?

Love their thin crust lighter pizza. I always try to use coupons. The owner always suggests which coupons will give me the biggest savings. He lets me keep the coupon so I can use it again and again. He is efficient taking orders and ringing people up. The pizza is always fresh and tasty.

Beware of coupon scam. !!! Unilocal should allow a 0 or –n stars rating system The store constantly issue couple from the Vxxx network. However, they will NOT honor it unless you order is «exactly» what it is. A new flavor of a large gourmet deluxe is on promotion for $ 10, I have a $ 9 couple for an large, existing flavor gourmet deluxe for $ 9. I ordered an half’n’half. Why do I need to pay $ 13 and can only use the $ 2 off coupon? «You have 2 flavors so you need 2 coupons, but you can only use 1 coupon at a time.» Well I am using one only and the other is already a special price … My elementary school son can do a better math than the store — 9 dollar 50 cents and not $ 15. I gave up. I don’t want to waste time arguing with him for $ 3,50 with my son being hungry already. The similar couple scam happened to me before. So, this is my last pizza ordered from this store. If I have to, I’ll probably drive 10 more miles to elsewhere to get one, even thought the pizza is just a tad better than frozen one. There are a lot of similar comments about the owner’s attitude toward customers. I do like to support local business, but will not reward such customer services.

DONOTCOMEHERE!!! Worst customer service I have ever experienced! You would think that being a family owned place that the owner would treat treat his customers with respect. I wish I could give this place 0 stars! The owner gives out wrong info and has no customer service skills whatsoever. The owner has a big stick up his ass! It’s no wonder this place lacks business. He also treats his employees like garbage right in front of customers! Who does that??? This guy needs to be on Under Cover Boss so the owner of the franchise can see what’s really going on in this store! It’s seriously a joke! I will never refer anyone to Papa Murphy’s! EVER!

I like take-and-bake pizza… specifically Papa Murphy’s. It’s a good go-to when I’m too cheap for Amici’s. I like that they have a thin crust option(deLite). But the review isn’t about Papa Murphy’s. It’s about this particular location. This particular location is super tiny. Of course you’re not expected to stay here all that long so that’s somewhat expected. But it just makes the place feel super cramped and a little dirty. It kind of reminds me of some of the old crappy Domino’s that were around. The only saving grace of this place is that they do offer a punch card so if you do manage to come here often enough you can get a free pizza.

The owners are complete control freaks and rude! The pizza is good… but god forbid the owner makes a mistake taking your order and you bring it to their attention to correct it. He will make sure to tell you you ordered wrong! Really… how am i going to order wrong… I know what I want… you just weren’t listening and paying attention. The teenagers who actually make the pizzas are great! They even apologize for the owners… SAD. They do a really good job… probably out of fear of the overbearing controlling dictators. The kids can’t answer the phone to take orders… or take orders in person, I’m guessing they think they’ll make a mistake… RIDICULOUS! Too bad there isn’t another Papa Murphy’s nearby… if there was… this place would be out of business within a few days! On a positive note… they do honor coupons if you forget to bring it with you… so thanks for that.
