Normally I’d give this minute clinic 5 stars, because one of the doctors is really awesome(wish I could remember her name, I’ve only met with her once). I came in for a second time this afternoon & there was only one doctor in. She was immediately rude and demanding. I was waiting for my results and needed to text my grandmother to let her know how much it was going to cost because she was paying for the appointment– and the doctor was furious. She told me I was rude for texting my grandmother and that I will NOT use my cell phone in her office and needed to let my grandmother know before I went in the office and should have left my phone in the car. All I had texted was«20 $». I had not been on my phone all of but 5 seconds. I’m very polite, and most times have no complaints about anywhere I go and I’m not too tech savvy. But first off, if she wanted me to pay her I needed to know how much everything would cost & would have to text my grandmother that. &second off, its my cell phone and I will very well use it if I please– there are no signs saying no cell phones: and the ringer was off. And third, I was paying for her services and she was busy doing something. Weather I was on my cell phone or not isn’t her concern. I wasn’t doing it to be rude. I felt awkward the whole rest of the visit and it was very hard to bite my tongue. I won’t be coming to see her again, and I would recommend going the extra distance to lake Wylie or gastonia if you must go to a minute clinic.

A since I’m not in Atlanta much I have to use them more often than I like too, but they pretty much are consistent every time

My tip, you can sign in before it actually opens at 8:30. i’ll start with the one complaint i have. i arrived at this Minute Clinic about an hour and 15 minutes before it was to close the previous night, but the electronic sign-in said they were booked up through closing. That kind of irritated me and my already irritated throat. Thinking it may have been my fault for not checking ahead of time, i don’t believe there is a way to verify if they have availability before just showing up since the individual office does not answer calls directly and there is nothing online. Determined to be seen first thing in the morning, i arrived about 15 minutes before it opened and was able to sign in. Once inside the little office, everything went well, fast, professional and fortunately, my company covers Minute Clinic visits, so for me there was no charge(yet, anyway). However, without insurance, my papers say it would have been about $ 102 for the visit + strep test. She informed me the flu test were not particularly necessary since i had felt sick for more than 2 days and the treatment would essentially be the same regardless of the result. i opted for the test for my own curiosity… hope the insurance covers it. When i left the office, there were several folks waiting outside the door. Phew. It’s been quite some time since i’ve had to see a doctor, but i’m guessing the price and time commitment might be worse than this? Either way, i was in and out quickly without feeling rushed out. Was able to fill my script 50 feet away and i was on my way back to bed. Unfortunately, it was the flu so i still feel like crud, but i suppose at least i know why.
