By far the best Chinese food around! Crab Rangoon, orange chicken, teriyaki beef and chicken… the list goes on… are excellent! They allow us to get steamed broccoli with garlic sauce on the side so the grandkids can enjoy their’s plain! Chicken fingers are cooked in fresh oil so they taste great unlike some places that reuse the oil over and over!!! Highly recommend Hunan!

Have only got delivery. Food is by far the best Chinese I’ve had in the Bellingham /​Woonsocket area. A little pricey, but the food is very good and very timely (delivery)

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! HORRIBLE SERVICE! My family of 4 went there last night (Tuesday night… not a busy weekend night). When we walked in, no restaurant employees were in the dining area whatsoever. About 5 or 6 people were hanging around waiting to pick up their take-​out food. Eventually, a man came out of the back, walked by our table saying «hello» and started cashing out the 5 or 6 people. In addition, the phone would ring every so often so the man would answer the phone, taking phone orders at the same time he was cashing out customers. While we were sitting there, more people walked in and instead of giving us menus, the man waited on the new people and continued with phone orders. We sat there for an eternity simply waiting for menus that never came. We finally gave up and left. It became clear to me that this restaurant is grossly understaffed. One person cannot be answering the phone, dealing with takeout orders, and wait on tables at the same time. We will not go back. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants in the area with much better service.

We’ve been going here since they opened and we have noticed quite a difference in service. The food is still delicious, but the service is pretty terrible. The young lady answering the phone seems really overwhelmed dealing with the phone, waiting tables, and taking money for phone orders. I have no idea what the problem is, but I don’t think going to eat in the restaurant is the best idea. Take out seems to be a much better option since you can eat in peace… you don’t need to wait for a bill or to pay, etc…

I love the food here. It is always consistent and the people are great. Every time we order they are friendly and know me by name (which tells you how much I go here)
We order take out from here and the one time there was a mistake they drove our correct food to us, even though we are not one of the towns they deliver to. I thought that was great customer service.

We get take out just about every Friday night here. We love it. Great food, price and service.

First off, I have only had take out from Hunan. The food is ok, I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. They usually deliver on time or sooner. The prices are high for the little amounts of food you get, unfortunately. Overall it’s a mediocre meal priced high but the delivery is usually on point and the drivers are always personable.

Great food. Great staff. Small and not gaudy. Very attentive as soon as you walk in. Made this my birthday dinner go to place. Never disappointed.

Great scallion pancakes. That’s about it. Servers barely attended to us throughout the experience. Sauces were oily. Moo-​shi smelled funny and, if you could get past the smell, was so salty you couldn’t eat it. When we told the server that the moo-​shi was in edible, she told us that we should have let her know earlier. No offer to take it off the check.
The scallion pancakes salvaged a one star for this place. Never. Going. Back.

Any negative reviews are either absolute flukes, extremely bad days for the cook, or some seriously messed up people.
I have been coming to this place for over 5 years now. Owners are always working, very friendly, I’ve never had issues with food quality, or the amount of duck sauce provided.
Pricing is fair especially for the amount of food you get. This is the BEST Chinese in all of Bellingham and ranks amount my top fav 4 in all of RI & MA.

Please people, I read your reviews, and decided to take a chance. The folks
running this place seemed nice enough, but my first Chinese fare was eaten from a high chair in Boston’s Chinatown and I can make credible versions of some things at home. We ordered dumplings with sesame sauce, egg foo yong, and chicken with hot pepper sauce.
The worst thing was, everything, particularly tea cups and glasses had the aroma and taste of pesticides
. I wanted to like it, and should have walked out… it was bad! My husband, who usually licks his plate when served hot pepper chicken, left his plate pretty much untouched; the chicken, if not from the UFO part of the chicken was severely overcooked; the spices were undetectable, as in garlic and ginger. Egg foo yong, never seen any like it, and giant dumplings, just tasteless.
. I’d love to give a good review to a family business, ’cause the chains are taking over, but not in this case, we will never be back. With the sterling reviews posted here, I feel like I’m living in a parallel universe.

Quality Chinese food and fast delivery! You can tell everything is made fresh including the Pork Fried Rice! Egg Foo Young, and Lo mein are also exceptional!

They never give you enough duck sauce and when you ask for extra they get very upset, they definitely don’t want to give you extra, I have even offered to pay for it. At first I thought their resistance was comical, but after going again yesterday (⁸⁄₁₈) and spending $ 25 for food to only receive 1 tiny (jello shot size) of duck sauce and getting MAJOR attitude when I asked for more, I was annoyed. I can’t be the only person requesting extra duck sauce; add it as a menu item if you must and charge people. Due to this major headache, I will not be patronizing Hunan Kitchen any longer.
Give the people what they want, or I will patronize one of the other 10 or so chinese joints in the area!

Rest assured, Vegetarians… the Lo-​Mein isn’t horrible. Could have had more vegetables in it though, it was mostly carrots and string peas. Ask for extra in the order or order a side of steamed veggies. Really good sized portions on the take-​out though. The folks working the front are very friendly. There’s even a television on and numerous fish tanks/​fountains for «atmosphere» … and a bar if you want to get a little something something with your meal.

A guilty pleasure here, definitely. The appetizers are excellent, pretty much without exception. Soups are pretty good, although at times they can be very salty. We usually order takeout, and when we’re too tired to cook or go out, this is a welcome alternative. If you want spicy, make sure to ask for extra spicy, or chili sauce on the side.

My husband and I eat at Hunan Kitchen most Friday nights and we love it. This is definitely the best Chinese food in the area. Everything is always fresh, the owners are always so friendly and helpful and the scorpion bowls are amazing! We’ve tried most things on the menu, but some of our favorites are the amazing chicken, the Hunan combo, the boneless spare ribs and crab rangoons. They also have great wonton soup, sesame steak and the combo plates are all wonderful. Sometimes the service can get a bit slow, but it’s worth the wait. We’ve never had a bad meal here and I highly recommend Hunan Kitchen if you’re looking for some tasty Chinese food!

Super yummy food, quick delivery, courteous staff. We’ve ordered from them for over 3 years. They have awesome lomein. When we call on a Saturday, it’s almost as if they arrive as soon as we hang up the phone! Love their combo plates!

Great Chinese food, usually pretty fast service. Been getting takeout from here ever since it opened, and I’ve never had a meal that I didn’t enjoy. The only time I ever had to wait was when we got takeout on Christmas Eve, and the owner insisted that any drinks people got while waiting to pick up food were on the house. Awesome place, and I’ll continue to order Chinese from here as long as I’m in the area.

Hunan is now the only place I truly enjoy eating Chinese food from. Small business, family-​owned. Everyone here is friendly, the delivery people are always on time, and the prices are great.
