This store amazed me with all that is offered. I’m new to the area and knew that this is a Kroger store. Made me feel at home to see brand name items. Yes, Walmart could be cheaper but fresh produce and meats can’t be beat. The seafood is fresh and the meat counter well stocked. Wish it was closer to my house although it is fun to go to the«real«grocery store than the local IGA with little or no merchandise on their shelves. Gas rewards make a huge difference plus one stop shopping.

Customer service here has DRAMATICALLY improved. Everyone says«hello» when you come near them. They must have been getting a lot of complaints or something because now I see signs everywhere saying«if you like this, let us know» «If so and so did a good job, let us know» I actually like coming here now.

I must say, this is probably one of the bigger Fred Meyer’s we’ve seen! The garden center is huge! With a nice selection of plants, and stuff for them! Inside the main store is nice, clean and pretty well designed. In regards help, it seems plenty of help can be found if you need it, and the prices are pretty good, so thats always a plus. I think if its like our Fred Meyers in Puyallup they will match competitor adds. I would most certainly recommend Fred Meyers if you see one, probably would recommend it over Walmart!

I wanted to send a review for Kim in the fresh meals/deli area. Today was the first time my husband and I met her and she was such a pleasure. You can just tell she has a wonderful giving soul and she brightened our morning. Having employees like her really make a company great and I’m sure she is a pleasure to work with. I enjoy seeing her.

I always find that the cheapest place to buy milk is Fred Meyer. They always have milk on sale. I like shopping at this one because its the closest to the boarder. Being so close to bellis fair mall its like in the center of everything. This place recently went through reno like a year or 2 years ago. Its clean and very organized. Staff are quite friendly. When the american dollar is low, many Canadian would come here and raid all the bread and dairy section. So not that great at times. But overall, I do enjoy shopping here. Its quite big because it has an electronic section, pharmacy, clothing and appliance section. I usually grab what I need and go. I think I am starting to feel like a local at this grocery store. Get a Fred Meyer card to collect points to save for cheap gas discount.

It’s fine for it’s purpose of offering goods. It’s very massive, but I cannot really think of any«wow» factors present.

Went to Bakerview Fred Meyer and to the checkout with a patio umbrella. There were 2 signs, one for $ 29.99& one for $ 99.00. Evidently I brought the $ 99 one, which I didn’t want. I told the checker to take it off my bill, and she said she couldn’t, I had to return it. I was frustrated and let her know, she just told me to go over to the customer service counter and do a return, and snottily told me that she«hoped My day got better.» The bagger did not offer to carry the giant box over to the service counter, and«Gio» at the service counter was neither polite or sympathetic. Crappy policy! What if the checker had scanned an item twice? Send the customer over to the counter for that??

I am in this store regularly, shopping for my family as well as my clients. This store is clean and full of fresh produce, bread, meat and deli items. Very recently the store was renovated and updated. Fred Meyer is a one-stop shopping centre where you can find just about anything! I do believe that the groceries for more reasonably priced and the majority of the grocery stores in this area. The other items tend to be a little bit more expensive. I would highly recommend this store.

Being an innocent Canadian, I really didn’t know what to expect from Fred Meyer. Even now, I don’t know how to describe it properly. «Costco meets Wal-Mart» is the best motto I can think of. Parking is available in the nice huge lot surrounding the building. The inside is pretty huge, like any of those warehouse-style chains. There’s a section for almost everything under the sun, other than maybe cars or livestock, unless you count the frozen and sliced up variety. They have the«bulk family stuff» of Costco, and the«cheap knick knacks» of Wal-Mart. Pricing looked pretty competitive. I cruised the aisles to test the item selection. Yup, they really do pretty much have everything. Definitely a good place to swing by if you’re in the area.

I absolutely love this store. Their food is cheap, they have great selection, and they are almost never out of stock of what I want. The employees are friendly, and the cashier and bagger are always polite to me when I check out. The store is very clean, and it is a pleasure to wander the aisles here. I LOVE the discount I get on gas for being a rewards member. As with any store, there are always a few things that could be improved. For this store, it is these: the ladies room needs to be bigger, the gas station lineup does not work well without a flagger, and the layout of the grocery section is a bit inconvenient. Ever since they re-opened, some of the food aisles are over by the medicine/personal hygiene area. But I can easily live with those flaws when every other experience I have had at the store has been positive.

I never was into Fred Meyer because I know there prices are higher than the really huge chains like Walmart and Target. However, ever since we’ve been buying gas at the pumps, we have been venturing in store to look around. Surprisingly, this location(don’t know about the others) has many great sale items going on. They’re so good that they even beat Wincos and Walmart which the latter tends to have bare shelves as if a natural disaster has just taken place. They tend to have some decent deals on wine as well from time to time. I recommend you check out Fred Meyer before buying at other stores first. Everything is so close to each other, you can always come back to Fred Meyer. Fred Meyer is also our stop to buy lunch or late breakfast on to Bellingham Airport.

This Fred Meyer is a MUST-STOP for me always when I cross the border. It’s my go-to place for my regular groceries and usually my last stop as I always buy my staples(chicken, milk, and cheese) here. The store was going through a massive renovation and not sure if they’re done now as I haven’t been, but I’m sure it’s more clear and organized than it was before — and I thought it was already organized! It’s a huge grocery store that carries clothing, make-up, home goods, furniture, alcohol, flowers, and all your grocery needs. Basically everything you need in life — they have. I never go over to their clothing section so I can’t say much about that. Their sales are pretty excellent, but sometimes you do have to scour the flyers for coupons and the flyers are usually not clean and organized. Prices are great compared to what I’m used to in Vancouver, Canada. After I have a cartful of goods and done shopping, I will always head over to the gas station! There’s a line-up sometimes but trust me when I tell you it goes very fast. It’s super organized and most of the time there are guys manning the station and pointing you to which pump is available. I choose this gas station over Costco because I can charge my usd credit card at FM, instead of my canadian debit card at Costco and get dinged. You win Freddies!

FUBAR!!! We shop here once a week, BUT the construction is impossible to negotiate within the store. Bare shelves, no room for the cart, frustrating. Checker said it was to be finished in August. We will shop at Safeway until then.

*This review is for the Fred Meyer gas station on Bakerview* My number 1 gas station in Bellingham! Fred Meyer is a breath of fresh air after having very shifty experiences at other nearby gas stations — one of which includes having my card compromised at Arco(see my review for THAT). Since I visit Bellingham every couple weeks, and my time here is basically limited to grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s, the novelty of fuelling up at Costco wore off in a hurry — Only Amex accepted, HUGE lineups… totally not worth the few cents saving per gallon. I’ve never waited in line for more than 5 minutes at Fred Meyer. It’s right off the highway, so you don’t get stuck in traffic on Meridian. At busy times, they have staff directing you to an available pump, which means there’s no mad-dash to the pumps and arguing about who got there first.(The pumps reach either side of the car, btw). Plus, they ALWAYS have the cheapest prices(other than Costco). Also, they have these nifty vending machines at each pump, some housing snacks and drinks, others housing washer fluid and armor-all. Brilliant! A big plus for me is that they accept all major credit cards with no zip code needed(meaning I as a Canadian don’t have to go inside to pay). Between the awesome location, best prices, and ultimate efficiency, Fred Meyer gas station is the only one I use in Bellingham.

If you need wifi and shopping, don’t shop here, go to the Co-op down the road at Cordata. This location’s wifi is terrible and better than terrible wifi would be no wifi. I used to really enjoy my shopping experience here but can’t use my smartphone apps that help with my grocery shopping. Fix your wifi and I’ll be back!

This place is usually smokin’ busy, and for good reason. They have awesome deals, great produce and reasonable prices. Sure, it may be a little bit more expensive than Walmart, but is never quite as busy and to me, seems a lot cleaner. I always hit Fred Meyer as my last stop before coming back to Canada because they have awesome frozen meals, cheap dairy and a great deli/bakery. I also usually pick up a $ 2 or $ 3 bottle of wine. Tip: Be sure to sign up for a free rewards card, as you will earn points towards free groceries as well as a discount on gas at the Fred Meyer gas station. Very well worth it!

Of the large grocery stores in Bellingham, this is my favorite. Their prices are more expensive than Target’s grocery department, but their selection is far more comprehensive. They open at 7am and are not too busy early in the day. The store also contains a large apparel department(a lot of synthetic fabrics and elastic waists — blech!) toys, household goods, health and beauty, hardware, furniture, office supplies and gardening stuff. Certainly a bonus is when you use their customer loyalty card and spend $ 100 in a month you receive a one time $.10 per gallon discount at their gas station. Just using the loyalty card without any minimum purchases will get you a $.03 per gallon discount. It is worth it to flip through their flyer(located in a stand near the door) to check out the bargains. I invariably use a coupon that is contained in the flyer(unfortunately it often looks like a cougar has ripped it out when I hand it to the sales clerk).

Although a bit crowded at times this is a great super market. The produce and meat department attendants know their stuff. In general the staff are really helpful and friendly. Their rewards program is a great way save points to receive cents off your gas. Very VIP feeling. Plus you receive a bit of a rebate at the end of their quarter.
