This place is like a local secret. The food is excellent and the service is just as good. We will definitely come here again.

My husband and I went there last night for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and used a Groupon. Great way to try a new restaurant. We were very impressed. I agree the location isn’t that appealing, but, it’s close to where we live and the food and service greatly outweighed the location. Small, clean, nice décor but, maybe just a little too brightly lit. Very friendly, attentive waitress brought over some warm bread and oil with herbs, garlic, parmesan and red pepper flakes. Really good. We started off splitting the fresh mozzarella appetizer with grape tomatoes, fresh basil and roasted garlic cloves — delish! As part of the Groupon, we also received a small order of their homemade potato chips as well — very addictive. After our garden salad — very fresh with the house balsamic on the side(which I appreciated) my husband had the flank steak — tender and shredded in a homemade flavorful marinara sauce and I had the lobster and crab stuffed ravioli — really tasty in a light cream sauce. For dessert we had stuffed cannoli and cappucino — a great way to end a great meal! The groupon was a fantastic value. We did buy a bottle of wine which happened to be one of my favorites and very well priced. As a side note, I had called a couple of times prior to going there and both times the call was returned promptly. The only other improvement I would suggest is the music. For the first half of our visit they played nice«Italian» sounding music which really helped to set the mood. But, for the last half, it turned into ’70’s pop, ie. Ann Murray etc which I didn’t really like. NBD, we WILL be back. Thanks for a nice evening!

I went here last night with my boyfriend. It was very quiet on a Wednesday night with only one other couple in there. It’s really clean and has nice, modern but cozy décor. We were immediately served with warm bread and a garlic/herb/parmesan oil dip which was delicious. We really can’t comment a LOT on the menu as my boyfriend and I only split a pizza. There was a good, but fairly small selection and we ordered the Aglia pizza(with roasted garlic, herbs and lots of cheese). True to its name, this pizza literally had an entire head of roasted garlic on it — there were probably four or five cloves on each slice of pizza. Amazing. So if you are a garlic lover, this is definitely the place for you. The service was efficient and friendly and the restaurant was clean with good, reasonably priced food and it’s within three or four miles of my house. We’ll definitely go again. And they deliver!

My girlfriend and I went there because we bought an awesome Groupon, granting us a 5-Course meal for only $ 35. The presentation was awesome. The restaurant is very clean and has a great Italian theme to it. My girlfriend ordered a Pumpkin Martini, which was AMAZING! The waitress informed us that there was left over from making it, so gave us the rest free of charge. Without getting into too much detail, I will just cut to the chase and say that the food was AMAZING! The calamari was REAL, which is always a plus. The home-chips were simply AWESOME and our meals were cooked to perfection(I ordered the Veggie Lasagna, made with FRESHPASTA)! In closing, I give this place a LOT of credit. The only downfall is the location. It’s pretty bad. But it deserves a lot more attention than I think it’s getting. A+ across the board.

This is a small restaurant that apparently sells lots of pizza. There’s not much on the menu and they only had one special when we were there. The food was average to good but not great. The waitress was very competent and the food came out of the kitchen very quickly. It’s a 3 star restaurant due to the scant menu and the average to good tasting food. I would go again but only if I was in the neighborhood.

I’ve been to Aglia twice and both times thought the food was pretty good. I’ve tried the mussel appetizer, the pizzas, the baked schrod, but the best part of Aglia are the cannolis. I’ve never tasted any so good even in Italy. The balsamic salad dressing is also really great as well as the garlic and oil concoction for bread dipping and the homemade chips are very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice, not too loud and they have a reasonable wine list. I’ve tried the chianti, the Pinot grigio and the Riesling and they were all reasonably priced good wines. The only thing I can complain about is that both times I’ve gone, I’ve waited to get my food for at least 40 minutes or more. All in all, pretty good food at a reasonable price in a convenient location.

I went to Aglia on Tuesday for the first time. I really enjoyed the inimate space. The food was good, the wine was good, and the Cannoli was fantastic! Prices are really reasonable. I will definitely be back. The only thing I worry about with this place is… room to grow!!!

Just went to Aglia for the first time after finding it on Unilocal. The service was exceedingly friendly and quick. The chicken tater tots were creamy and crunchy!!! My sister ordered a lasagna that was out of this world. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten fresh ricotta before now. The risotto was creamy and perfectly flavored. I even enjoyed the beets on the side which is a first for me. I ended up taking home a meat lovers pizza for my hubby that was just as good as everything else. Definitely going back.

Great Italian food in Bellingham! To start off, you get this amazing garlic olive oil for your bread, it was unreal! For my entrée, I had the meat pounded thin and rolled up over pasta with marinara sauce(I forget the dish name!), but it was seriously delicious. The pasta is cooked perfectly and the homemade sauce was just right. We also split the Margherita pizza, which is made with a pesto sauce on top– the crust was perfect and the flavors amazing. Great, inexpensive wine options. Overall a wonderful meal!

Aglia Cucina offers delicious Italian fare, and even some vegetarian-friendly food as well! At first arrival one receives bread with an absolutely delicious garlic/parmesan olive oil dip– truly lovely! There are some great and varying appetizer choices, as well as some nice salads, including a fennel salad(that is not vegetarian, but can be altered to be so.) In the appetizer list, I suggest the home-made chips, as the chef told us(yes, he came out to talk to his customers) he perfected at a previous job. Also, the fresh mozzarella salad, which is basically a caprese salad with roasted garlic as well, looked amazing(the table next to us ordered it), and I am determined to try it the next time I make it back to this neck of the woods! For dinner I had the vegetarian meatballs with whole-wheat pasta. It was an enormous serving(I took half home) and very tasty. I always have a difficult time finding healthy, delicious, and protein-rich entrees at an Italian restaurant. These wonderful meat-less meatballs(lentils, chard, seasoning, and other things I can’t remember) were wonderful, as was the home-made marinara sauce. Aglia Cucina also offers pizza, including a gluten-free crust, if requested. Some friends ordered the margarita, which comes with pesto on it. It was delicious as well! I imagine that all of the pizzas are just as good. I had a delicious Sicilian red wine, the house wine, with dinner, reasonably priced at $ 8 a glass, and very good– smooth, rich, and earthy. To finish, we ordered canolis. A perfect end to the dinner! I highly recommend Aglia Cucina!
