It was my first time coming to this place. I always go to the one in Maywood. It’s a good place. I wanted a burrito mojado but they don’t make it here. I really wanted one. No problem. I just got an original burrito. Tasted bomb. Overall good place. Good people. Good scenery.

I can’t believe this place hasn’t closed down yet. King Taco has lost its touch over the years, but this location takes the cake. 40 minutes to get our food. Under staffed, and they keep raising the prices, and don’t forget their stingy with the salsa. The kids of the owner are running this place to the ground. It’s sad really, to think the love people had for this place is dissipating because greed and bottom line is more important than their customers. The idiots running this company need to read these reviews.

They have good carne Assad burrito and chicken tamales usually I get them both when I am coming this way. It never happens that I get in and out quick always packed means they have good food

It is my first time here and the Food is great however they don’t have a torta and I was hoping to eat one. Why don’t they have a torta? I ended up eating a burrito which was good but a little bit small for the price. I also had an horchata I’ve definitely had better but theirs is good enough to get the want out my mind. Overall my experience was average

This is not a great place! I was never greeted when we walked through the door. We were the only one at the counter must’ve been because I was the wrong race. I think it’s overpriced and feel NO value for your dollar. It’s so loud in here, can’t enjoy a conversation with the other person I’m with because they’re screaming orders over the microphone. I would never come back here! Burrito was tiny and my chips and salsa is so tiny, I think got like a half ounce of salsa for my chips. While I was eating a homeless man was hitting us up for money and everybody else in the restaurant while eating.

I’ve only eaten the tacos and sopes here. All very delicious. I showed up at 930 am to order a ton of food. Even at 930, it’s busy. Plenty of people eating in the restaurant and still a line on a Saturday morning. I was out the door by 10 am and this isn’t their«busy» hours. Give yourself some time and expect a wait. I love their carnitas anything the best. Asada can be dry once in awhile. Chicken is chicken. I haven’t ventured outside of the main 3 choices. Ask for the pickled carrots, not spicy but flavorful.

Let me start by saying this is the cheapest, stingiest, most illogical company I’ve ever encountered. I bought 2 dozen tamales and asked for salsa, they said they can’t give me salsa because tamales don’t come with salsa. Really, who are they to tell me I can’t have salsa on my tamales? Anyhow I then offer to pay to buy some and am told they can only sell me two salsas because they won’t sell just the salsa. I mean get real, it’s like trying to beg them to take my money. Stupidity must run from the top of corporate at this company. I’m thinking I’m going to send their salsa to a lab and just selling it at a price so reduced out of spite. Terrible management. Obviously they care nothing about customer service. Terrible isn’t enough and if I could put zero stars for customer service I would do that.

Good ol’ convenient King Taco. Not the best Mexican food out there, but certainly not the worst. Still, I remember this place being a lot better when I was a kid: _______________ — I used to visit the King Taco in Pasadena every now and then with my cousins. I remember the place as having a clean, lively, and colorful dining environment. What a shame that these same qualities weren’t carried over to the Bellflower location… Lunchtime dining at Bellflower King Taco feels like eating at an abandoned, most likely haunted cafeteria. There’s no music playing whatsoever, and you make every effort not to make eye contact with other diners. It’s an awkward dining environment punctuated by the employees shouting out order numbers in Spanish on a regular basis. I wish the overall feel of the place could be brightened up & energized a bit — as it’s not fun feeling like you’re having lunch at the DMV. To their credit, the employees here are nice people, and greeted us with cheery smiles. Kudos to them for finding a way to inject some warmth into the otherwise lifeless dining room! _______________ — The Carne Asada Burrito that I ordered was just okay. It began falling apart as soon as I removed it from its foil wrapping; I would’ve appreciated if the tortilla had been either rolled better or hot-pressed to strengthen its integrity. I ended up having to use a fork & knife just to eat the burrito — and since King Taco didn’t provide any utensils, I’m sure I would’ve been much more irritated if I had taken my to-go burrito to any other place but my home(i.e. eaten it in the car). The meat wasn’t particularly juicy or flavorful, and the beans folded into the burrito’s filling were used much too sparingly. King Taco’s burrito is a bit cheaper($ 5.65) than what I’m used to paying for restaurant-type Mexican food in LA — but I’d be willing to shell out the extra dollar or two to enjoy a more filling & better-built burrito elsewhere. — The Carnitas Sope that I also picked up was a bit tastier than the burrito. Much as in the case of the carne asada, the carnitas meat didn’t really knock it out of the park on its own. However, the Sope’s blend of cheese, a crispy(not too greasy!) shell, and a generous amount of cabbage made it a hands-down winner over the burrito. Still, it wasn’t anything spectacular — and I’d give this dish a 3⁄5 overall. _______________ — For as much as my most recent visit to King Taco let me down, I do have to give credit where it’s due — the Salsa Roja that they serve is still pure money. If you’re not sensitive to spicy food, I wholly recommend requesting for the«Hot» salsa with anything that you order! It starts out sweet & smoky, working well with the savory taste of beans and whatever type of meat you decided to go with… that is, until the heat kicks in. Personally, I have a decent threshold for spiciness — but I have no shame in admitting that King Taco’s salsa made me tear up just a little bit. It’s a swift kick to the tastebuds — a culinary defibrillator for the otherwise lackluster food.

The service is not that good. Lots of people in line only one cashier for 25 people in line. Food is ok but I would not recommend people to come here.

Great. Simply put, this is a great taqueria. The service is a little different and I can definitely see how this place can get packed and can take forever, but I went on a Sunday afternoon and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Had a pastor taco, asada taco and the asada burrito with beans, rice, onions and cilantro(red salsa on everything). The pastor was ok, not the best, not the worst, but it paled in comparison to the asada. GETTHEASADATACOS, that’s what this place is all about. Asada has great flavor and they don’t get skimp out either. Get the red salsa if you can handle the heat, it’s balanced with really good flavor too. It’s not just fire. They don’t have limes tho, which is odd for a taqueria but this place is so good, I don’t mind bringing my own next time… which might be later tonight…

HORRIBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLE!!! Went to King Taco earlier at 10:30 pm extremely hungry. I asked for an extra red and green salsa. They charged me for FOURSALSAS! There were people asking for extra salsa and the lady would hand out the salsas for free… To top it off, I asked for lime, and the lady straight up said«no». Then I asked for limon, then she said«no» again. I guarantee that they did have lime because how can a King Taco restaurant not have lime? The taste quality was HORRID. I was hoping the food would be better than the service, BUTNOPE. Sorry, but this was one of the worst experience. I don’t know if it’s because I’m asian or what? I was polite and say please and thank you. NEVERCOMINGBACKAGAIN!

Delicious carne asada tacos and jalapeño cheese tamales. I order that same order every time because they’re just that good. Line is always trailing out the door, but the food is worth the wait. Tonight it’s extra long. Lots of people are placing large orders for tamales of all kinds. Just wish they had a drive through window. I’ve eaten here at least 10 times during the past year and loved it every time, but, this time… OHNO! Found a long, hair in my jalapeño cheese tamale! It was lining one of the grooves in the corn husk. No it wasn’t corn silk. Closer look revealed red and brown bands of color. Bad, bad, bad. I’m so disappointed and grossed out. I may just return the remainder of my order for today. I had 5 each of carne asada tacos and jalapeño cheese tamales. C’mon, King Taco! You’ve got to get that cleanliness thing back on track!

Overall 4.5 Food: 5 Service: 4 Without doubt the best taco place in the area. Must try for spicy food lovers. Although the wait gets crazy sometimes, the food is worth the wait! I would recommend the buche tacos but if you don’t like buche, then definitely the carne asada. Try it with the red sauce — you won’t regret it :)

My partner and I were working night uty and could not find a restaurant that was open after 6PM. We saw a King Taco, and decided to give it a try. Well apparently, everyone in Bellflower felt the same urge, so we waited in line for 10 minutes, and another for the food order. Because the restaurant was so packed, we decided to bring it back to work. Upon eating my two tacos and tamale, I realized this was pretty good on a cold rainy night, as the green sauce gives the meat a nice kick, and the corn tamale the texture I was looking for. Now if you’re looking for health food, you may not want to consider this food, as there was oil all over the place. I think I’ll put on my winter coast by gaining 5 pounds from all this good food and hopefully be able to lose it in January, right?

This place is soooo clean and spacious compared to the other King Tacos I have been too(including El Taurino). Bathroom is clean too! Parking is spacious. Personally, I like this place a lot more. It’s not only about the food. It is about the service and people who make your food. Chain food restaurants lack consistency in customer service, and it’s always a hit or a miss. These employees were proficient and sweet. And I actually understood my number when they called it loud and clear! I got tacos and sopes. The hot sauce is always delicious, but it seemed it got a less spicy… hahah. I am most definitely coming back. Love Mexican Food! A L W A Y S! Hahaha Thank you for the service and bomb food!

This place is so lazy and slow. Ask for green sauce and they will frown at you as if they want to save some for themselves. The food quality has declined and the cleanliness of the restaurant itself has gotten disgusting. My advice is to hire friendly staff who welcome you once you walk into this establishment with smiles and a good Mexican«Mi Casa Es Su Casa» I just came here for the rice and still had to wait 20 minutes with only 3 orders ahead of me.

Nothing like going to the hood for some tacos. I wasn’t in the mood for some taco truck since they don’t have proper seating areas and I didn’t wanna stand and it my food or sit on the curb like a bum so the only logical choice was drive to Bellflower. Just kidding, I was in the area anyways. I came through with my homie Tai and we ordered some tacos to munch out. Nothing like some good authentic tacos late at night. The downside was it got pretty packed, curses Taco Tuesday. The place wasn’t as clean as I would have liked but it wasn’t too bad. The tacos were super fresh and my goodness they were amazingly delicious. The meat was super tender and with speedy service I can definitely see a return here. Another bummer is how greasy the tacos were. Don’t get me wrong they were really good and the flavors were tops but it was greasier than some of the trucks I’ve been to. Still I can’t get enough of their tacos. I might have to take it easy with their fiery sauce. It damn near burned a hole in my stomach… but its so good.

I really wanted to love this place, but honestly, it was just OK. Yes, the lines are long, and the cash registers run slow. I wouldn’t mind so much if the food was muy delicioso, but it was meh-i’ve-had-better-elsewhere. Each taco runs $ 1.49 — the cabeza taco was on the gritty/fatty side, and the carne asada was dry. The lengua sope was good, but not amazing. I liked that they were generous with the cabbage and mexican cheese :) The texture of the dough was nice and chewy and a good contrast with the creamy refried beans. The highlight was carne asada quesadilla($ 4.85). The meat was juicier and filling with the cheese. Also comes with a side of guacamole. The red sauce was spicier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The green was good also, but more on the tart-ier, mild side. The tables were SLOPPY and DIRTY. Someone needs to wipe them down badly. There were so many empty tables, but I didn’t want to sit anywhere because they were filled with old food, straw wrappers, and wet cup stains. I recommend sitting outside in the front patio.

Maybe I was too hyped up to try King Taco. All I hear is praise about this place. I was so excited to finally eat at the infamous king Taco! I had the lengua all meat burrito and my boyfriend had the carne asada combination burrito. Others had the nachos(that I snuck a bite of) and sopes. I am a huge lengua fan, if it’s an option at a restaurant, I’m ordering it. I was disappointed by how dry and flavorless the lengua was in my burrito. I also tried some of the carne asada, and that was better… but still nothing mind blowing. I do love that they use what I’ve always referred to as fake cheese on their nachos. Good ol’ radioactive orange liquid gold colored cheese. They treat their hot sauce like it’s an endangered species and are not generous with it. For one burrito, you’re allowed one hot sauce. You better ration that stuff. The hot sauce is exactly like what it says in the name… hot. I love spicy food, but it felt overwhelmingly spicy. It took away from the flavor of the spices and chili. There aren’t any King Taco locations in Orange County and I probably wouldn’t find myself venturing out of my way to eat here. If it was nearby, I’d maybe stop by… but it’s not a place that I’d drive to the ends of the earth for. It’s not bad, and maybe it’s because I was expecting the best Mexican food north of the Mexico/USA border by the way people were talking this place up. My expectations were high, and I was sorely disappointed.
