2000 Barber Shop

I have been going to barber shop 2000 since the day it was built from scratch. Before that I was going to MIKE’S barber shop on somerset. So I have followed Mike and been going to his shop for 20+ years.
I now live about 20 miles from the shop now. I still make the trip on a regular basis to get a cut. Today I went directly from work. After a 1 hour and 10 minute drive,
I walked into the shop at 5:50 pm and Mike’s nephew says «we’re closed» I look at the sign on the front window and it says open.(or else I wouldn’t have pulled in and parked) I ask– «what time do you close?» He then says «we close at 6:00»… I look at my watch, it says 5:50pm.
After driving for 70 minutes to get a hair cut– that’s not what I was expecting to hear.
I work in the customer service field, and if a regular shows up at closing I will stay after hours to provide service.
Turning away a regular customer that’s been returning for 20+ years and ALWAYS tipping is not good for business.
VERY DISAPPOINTED.
I went up the road to a different shop where the guy was closing the blinds and I said «you closed?» He said «come in, sit down» I felt bad because I knew this shop was closing as well and they still took in a NEW/​FIRST TIME CUSTOMER. I would like to give that shop a shout out– but I’m not like that– I won’t do it on this review.
Just very disappointed with the service at BARBER SHOP 2000

I visited this shop in early March. You can only access this shop traveling east on Alondra Bl. There’s a center median in the street that restricts access if you’re coming west.
I parked in the rear of the business. There were about five barber chairs and one barber. I got the owner, his name is Miguel. Very pleasant guy. He has a lot of pictures from around the world that are posted up in his shop. I asked him if he had ever visited those places. Apparently, he’s a big time traveler. We talked a lot about his trips to Rome, Rio, Amsterdam, and other spots. He loves to travel.
My haircut was alright. He missed a couple spots that he shouldn’t have missed. I didn’t notice until after I left. So he lacks attention to detail. The price was very affordable. I won’t go back but I sent him a postcard from Chile. Hopefully, he posts it up on his wall.
