Charlie did a good job with my hair. I went in for a Japanese thermal straightening, he suggested that I do partial straightening and partial curls at the bottom, I was skeptical but I am glad I listened to him. My hair needs minimal styling, looking shiner and healthier. I will come back again.

Thanks to Unilocal I found Charlie. Very polite and friendly guy and his scissorwork is awesome! I came in without any idea of how I want my hair done other than telling him that I want something low maintenance and Charlie know exactly what to do. Love that he took the time to understand my hair and pay attention to little details. End result was perfect! I felt younger and more attractive leaving the salon. My husband who usually doesn’t comment on my hair, actually made a compliment on it. I will definitely be a regular here.
Price was reasonable compare to other Japanese hair salon, my haircut came to $ 50 without tips.
One thing though, I was confused with the name. It’s actually part of Lotte Beauty Salon.

We love Charlie! He does a great job, very detailed and hard working. Would definitely recommend asking for him during your visit! My family will definitely be back (and have already returned many times) for our hair needs.

I used to pay $ 40 for haircuts, not including tips, but now I only pay $ 25 for such a great quality! I get my usual «two-​block» hairstyle and Uni cut my hair so well! She was so friendly and knowledgable about the style. She also did some recommendations with my hair, which was nice. I will be coming back and making this my new regular place, after Salon Juno closed down unfortunately… I can’t wait to try Charlie as my stylist too! It’s also so convenient to school.

If you’re looking for a quality haircut Charlie’s your man. I’ve been getting haircuts from him for 5+ years now and never had a single bad experience. In fact, I’ve even followed him around between 3 different salons because his haircuts and the overall experience is just that good. :)
I personally have really prickly and coarse Asian hair. I’ve had hairstylists in Japan tell me that my hair was one of the roughest they’ve had to work with. But Charlie found a way to make it work. He got it figured out and never fails to make me look good. Beyond the haircut, the shampoo /​head massages are wonderful too and he always styles my hair before I leave to make sure I look fresh for the day.
Give him a shot. Charlie’s an amazing guy and I promise you won’t regret it!

I’ve been a regular customer here for years. i can always depend on getting my hair cut here the way i like it, and that’s really all I’m looking for. Add in a friendly staff and close proximity for getting Asian style hair cut on the east side, you’ve got yourself a recipe for repeat business. Glad they finally decided to open a Unilocal profile!

I’m so happy I found Charlie. He is a Rare GEM & a delight. Very sweet & friendly, not to mention knowledgeable with hair period! I was searching for someone who knows layers & can frame thick hair. He starts by listening, give suggestions then will add his expertise with an artillery of shears! He works with a unique very detailed techniques. He took away the bulk, heaviness & frayness. Bye-​bye split endz! My hair has movement again, and the cut also brought back some on my old highlights with the face framing done — which I can already tell will grow out beautifully. (Galz, you KNOW when you have a great cut is when it grows out naturally & is manageable for months. It starts from the top ladies, SEXY HAIR = FEELING SEXY). I will definitely be back. Call his direct line, if he’s not available his wife & teamate, Uni is equally skilled and may have availability.
