Delicious! I just ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala from their food truck and stoked on how good it is. It’s served with vegetables like carrots, zucchini and possibly cabbage? Perfectly cooked! The veggies still have a good crunch to them, but aren’t raw, and the sauce is insanely bomb. Definitely will stop by again.

We just received our first delivery 30 minutes ago, and have already finished a meal, a muffin, and now here I am rushing to leave this review. We are very picky about what we eat(both flavor and nutrition) and decided to give OTB a try, and I’m so glad we did! We ate the Roasted Pork Loin with Maple-Mustard Glaze with roasted beets and swiss chard, and it tasted like it was just prepared in our kitchen – so fresh! The Orange Pumpkin Cardamom muffins are soft, moist, and taste clean – not oily or too sweet – and I can’t wait to put them ALL in my belly this week. We’re so excited to try the rest of the meals we bought for this week, and are anxiously awaiting this week’s menu to be emailed so that we can put in another order. Outside the Box is definitely a game changer for us. Thank you Chef Marizel and team!

This food is definitely Paleo in that you have to hunt for your meat. They were in Factoria yesterday and I ordered the pork and greens. What I received was a mountain on some kind of starch with 3 little shavings of pork about the size of a finger tip. Honestly this was my first time there and maybe it was luck of the draw and the person serving didn’t notice that I was being served a mountain of kale for $ 10. I’m giving them 2 stars because the flavor was decent.

What a GREAT find at Seattle Center today. Whenever we are out, it is so difficult to find good food we can eat, since we are both Paleo. Delicious food, impressive portions, and best of all… We could eat it all, no substitutions or omissions! Great truck! We will find you again soon!

I’m reviewing the food service, not the food truck because I have never visited it. This company is amazing! I recommend them even if you are not paleo – but if you are, it is a dream come true. The food is fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Truly. It far surpasses any other meal delivery service I have ever used. The only meals I haven’t enjoyed were because of personal preference, not in any way because of quality. The staff is helpful: their communication is fantastic and my meals are always delivered right on time. It might sound overdramatic, but Outside the Box has really improved the quality of my very busy life.

Delicious paleo meals served up quick. OTB visited my company’s campus today and I’m sure glad they did. I ordered the pork and greens. The dish is as simple as its title and served in a take-away soup container. The collard greens are well prepared and the pork is tender. I’ll be on the lookout for this truck on their next visit.

I have to start out by saying, I’m not a Paleo expert by any means. Today was the first time I purchased from Outside the Box. I ordered the Pork Ragu with Zucchini Noodles. When I first read the menu, I really thought they made noodles out of the zucchini and I thought I was getting pork on top of green pasta. This just shows my ignorance when it comes to Paleo food. The food was really good. I was impressed on how well the pulled pork turned out and how good the zucchini was with it! I was pleasantly surprised. I would defiantly return. After reading other reviews, I’m a little sad that they didn’t have any of the muffins or sweet things that others had. I ended up having a #paleofail and broke down and got a muffin from the vending machine. I hope they return to the T-Mobile campus soon!(Preferably with muffins!) :)

My taste buds just can’t believe this delicious, nutritional goodness. My husband placed an order in and we just got our delivery meals on monday evening, I absolutely love it, but as a pescetarian doing the paleo diet i have been cooking the fish apart and adding to the delicious vegetarian side dishes that comes with while husband is taking over the meaty ones. I am very happy we gave it a try and we are looking forward to placing another order soon. If you are debating about trying, please go ahead. I am such a picky eater and so far i loved everything I’ve tried.

Paleo enthusiasts, get excited! Having adapted the 80⁄20 Paleo lifestyle over a year ago, I can tell you that Outside the Box is a game changer because it’s: 1. Affordable 2. Convenient 3. Healthy 4. Yummy 5. Good for you 6. Exciting 7. I can 8. Go on 9. And on 10. And on I use Outside of the Box as a weekly delivery service on occasion; for instance when I travel. Well knowing there are no vegetables in my fridge because I’ve been gone too long, I order on a Thursday and get a front door delivery by dinner time the following Monday. The online ordering is awesome, and they rotate their menu often to keep things interesting. Each meal is a super filling one portion, or enough for 2 small meals. I usually eat it all in one sitting. Hey, it’s good for you! I usually end up adding a bit more seasoning and/or spice to the meals. Because snacking is a hobby, I tend to order more snacks than meals. Paleo granola, chocolate muffins, hot sauce, bone broth, apple crumble, fried plantains, oh man! I love you can order individual meals, or family style. I like to order the cauliflower rice in the family size as a staple to make my own stir fries and cauliflower pizza without having to rice it myself. Such a time saver. Even if you cook a lot at home like I do, you’ll still enjoy and appreciate a service like this. Outside the box makes eating healthy almost effortless and widely accessible! You don’t have to think about meal planning, chopping veggies, portioning, cooking, or grocery shopping. Seriously, order and eat!

Outside the Box is the first and only food truck in Seattle specializing in Paleo food. In addition to the food truck, they have a meal delivery service for those looking for Paleo meals without having to do the work. The last couple of weeks, Outside the Box has made a stop on the Microsoft campus so I decided to try this truck for the first time. I don’t follow the Paleo diet, but that doesn’t mean it won’t appeal to those who don’t. Except if you are a vegetarian/vegan/pescetarian since many of the offerings here include meat. Though there are a couple items that don’t. For those who are unfamiliar with the Paleo diet, it basically means that only ingredients available during the hunter-gatherer era of humanity are eaten. So no grains and dairy are used. Great for those who don’t like eating highly processed foods. So for someone like me so ingrained to eating carbs with my meal, this is a diet that would seem difficult to adjust to. The offerings here are a little more pricey than other trucks. A couple are over the $ 10 price point which may seem a bit more than people are willing to pay for what is basically a work lunch. This can be attributed to the ingredients used as meat jacks up the price of meals. I tried out the pork carnitas($ 7.99) which is pulled pork on top of pieces of lettuce with pico de gallo on the side. I liked it as it was a refreshing change in the food you can find elsewhere on campus. The taste of the food though stays with you. I don’t know if it was from the pico de gallo or onions, but it stays with you for hours after. I think OTB is a promising truck. There is going to be a crowd of customers at MS as the food here appeals to the fitness/CrossFit crowd. But to draw in the regular eater I think it would be good add an additional item or two under the $ 10 threshold as there are already numerous economical dining options nearby. Keeping the price competitive will help encourage the unfamiliar diner to try out a Paleo meal for a change.

I just had OTB for lunch at work and unfortunately I was not thrilled. I tried the pork lettuce wraps and I must say the pork was very tender. However there was NO flavor. I was hoping that I would bite very well seasoned pork but instead it was bland and in desperate need of some seasoning. Perhaps healthy eating, can be healthy and flavorful at the same time.

I was pretty excited when this food truck came up to Bothell, since i’ve been seeing this name everywhere! I’m not Paleo, but I love food truck hopping! I got a turkey meatloaf(2 small slices) with cauliflower mash and some kind of greens(it was nice and sweet)! They put it in a huge take out box, making the food to box ratio kind of weird haha. The turkey meatloaf was pretty good, a good balance of vegetables and turkey but in my opinion it needed a little bit more of flavor. The cauliflower mash was unique, but it wasn’t to my taste. The cooked greens were just cooked greens. For the amount of food i’ve gotten, I don’t think it was worth the price of 8.50, but the price might be because of the cost of ingredients to make them. Overall, i probably won’t go back to the food truck unless i run out of lunch options.

I’m not paleo. Not particularly interested in paleo. However, I am particularly interested in food-trucking, so I gave OtB a try. I’m happy I did. My beef stew was fantastic. Perhaps a bit small of a portion, but the price was pretty right for the portion size and I really can’t complain. The meat was tender and tasty, as were the large chunks of vegetables. Beef stew seems like an easy fit for a food truck, and there’s no denying I’ll be back to try other meals.

OTB is a godsend. I had my first delivery from them last night, and I’m thinking this will be a regular thing for awhile. I can order my paleo clean eats for the week from my phone and be done with it — no meal planning — no trips to the store — just press«click» and be done with it. The meals are delicious and absolutely healthy. May the clean eating be with you all!

CAVEAT: I am neither paleo nor do I engage in paleo eating activities. However, when the neighbor invited me to try his beloved food cart, I just couldn’t resist. Had this been a regular food cart(non paleo), I would have given this two/three stars. Portions were small, and my vegan curry lacked a lot of spices, which made the curry very bland. Perhaps my tastebuds need to adjust to the paleo lifestyle to appreciate the cart. But given that all the food from this cart is made for people with very specific dietary restrictions, I see the allure to it. All of their food adheres to the paleo lifestyle such as free range chicken, grass fed beef, local, organic, etc. And they list where all they get all their ingredients too! I do wish there were more things on the menu. Their rotating menu is pretty limited and it seems like they favor a lot of pork. This could be a drawback for certain people, like Paleo Muslims for example. A good suggestion is to have more variety. I’ll give them one thing — the pork lettuce wraps(pork carnitas) smelled amazing.

I love the concept of this truck. Over the last year, I’ve cut out many yummy things in my life. I’m glad that I have options at Outside the Box to be healthier without compromising taste. I haven’t had many opportunities to see the truck. When I have, I’ve tried the kale and beet salad and kalua pig. I’m from Hawaii so I’ve spent most of my life eating kalua. It was definitely decent. The kale and beet salad was fantastic! I’m not a beet fan but I appreciated the texture, flavor, and color of the beets that was spread among the freshest kale and sweet dressing. For only $ 3, it’s the best deal I’ve found in a long time. So far, I’ve seen the truck posted up at a number of events but haven’t seen it around Seattle very much. I’m hoping for more opportunities to try out more the menu soon.

I supported these guys when they were on Kickstarter since I have been trying to adopt to the paleo lifestyle. There just aren’t many options out there that are gluten-free, dairy-free, without added sugar, or is processed. These meals are good to have on hand when I don’t feel like cooking and not have to go out and eat. This was my first order with them. I was in luck because when I Googled their name it took me to an ad to buy 3 meals, get 1 free. Score! The ordering process was easy. I just emailed them what I wanted and said that I would pick it up on Sunday because I’m cheap and didn’t way to pay the delivery fee. I got a reply within a few hours and then the invoice later. Here is what I ordered in the order I ate them: $ 15 Dozen of Lemon poppy seed muffins — these are so damn fluffy and tasty. I only wish they were bigger. I’d have to eat like 4 of them for breakfast, but I know a lot of work go into these and the ingredients aren’t cheap so I’d still buy them instead of try to make them myself. These would last me the whole work week if I’d only eat 2.4 a day. I will have to try the apple cinnamon’s next. $ 16 Seared Salmon, roasted tomato compote, zucchini cakes, seasonal veg Those zucchini cakes were very yummy, I wanted more! The salmon was pretty huge and tasted flavorful and fresh. The veggies included were sauteed cauliflower and mushrooms. I thought this was going to m favorite meal. $ 14 Bibimbap(sauteed skirt steak(grass-fed), cauli rice, assorted veg, fried egg, hot sauce) If you’re a bibimbap fan, you’ll love this paleo-style. The steak was plenty and flavorful without it being saucy. I made two meals out of this one for my lunches. Yay! $ 13 Carnitas — lettuce cups, pico de gallo, pickled radishes, roasted yam, lime wedges. I was a bit iffy about ordering this because I wasn’t sure how it was going to be packaged. It ended up being my favorite out of all of them! Sorry, salmon! They were very generous with the amount of pulled pork and the fresh lettuce wraps came in a separate container. I didn’t eat this until 3 days after I picked up my order and it was still fresh. The roasted yam and onions were very tasty, and I personally prefer yams over cauliflower. I also loved the pickled radishes even though they were really spicy. I wanted more pico de gallo and lime wedges but then it wouldn’t have fit in the box. I could have easily made two meals out of this one, but coming home from crossfit, I needed protein! I think the most value I can get is from their family style meals, so I will order those next. I hope they will add family sized sides too, like zucchini cakes and the roasted yam. I’m also super excited about their food truck and can’t wait until it rolls up to our box! I love you guys!

We been exploring Paleo lately in our family and needless to say, we were absolutely thrilled to come across Out of the Box. They are wonderful to deal with in that they are very responsive to our emails and questions. They are very pleasant people! This evening we picked up our first order of meals for the week. Paying is easy as they offer several payment options and pick up was quick and seamless for us. The portions are very generous and packed for easy transport as lunches or easy for us to grab on the go. We tried the salmon and sautéed skirt steak this evening and it was delicious! This may very well be my new favorite and I love that we will be able to enjoy the prepared meals for the next few days … Especially since I’m not a big fan of cooking meals myself.
