Ed Wyse Beauty Supply

I’ve been going here since I was first licensed (7 years) and love that they have my ITALY color line that nowhere else has. They’re sales people are nice, busy a lot of the time, but knowledgable. It’s a shame that they don’t carry more brands that I like because other than that color line that I like, there isn’t really a reason to go there. Aweosme if they have what you need though

If you can get used to becoming attached to products then them being discontinued, then you will love it at Ed Wyse. I am being honest when I admit that my 5^th styling product was just discontinued. So they helped me find another!
The selection at this store is unmatched. Typically for a guy looking for a specific type of hair gel, you can expect a couple options to choose from. How does over a dozen options sound? My personal preference is a dry fiber paste type styling product for all day lift, volume and hold. The store associates helped me find exactly what I wanted a price range and scent that I loved. They even found me a vegan option!
This store really is a blast. They sell wholesale prices to registers beauticians. I have fun every time I come in and really love the quality of their products. You won’t find products here that you can buy just anywhere. It’s salon stuff only. So you know it’s good. They are knowledgable and have great customer service skills.

I LOVE 50% of the products that Ed Wyse offers, especially EVO; however — the actual store locations are disgusting, dirty, dingy, drab and most the time, the women behind the counter look like they came straight from an non-​prestigious environment, so I avoid the stores if I can. We had a sales rep named Rick that was two-​faced, unprofessional, flakey, and not intelligent enough to send text messages and sent a text message to ME instead of someone back at corporate talking shit about me and then made a horrible attempt to try and back pedal from sticking his foot in his mouth.
We have a new sales rep now who has been delightful and actively trying to get my questions answered; and stays in contact, which is the only reason I can give Ed Wyse ²⁄₅ stars; otherwise I would be rating this place ¹⁄₅.

The employees were helpful, and there were plenty of nail polish options, but I did find the selection of brands rather limited.

I’ll just admit it and get it out of the way — I was at a Beauty Supply Store. It’s true.
As a man who buzzes his head at least once a week, I was in need of a great quality hair trimmer that would provide a close cut and wouldn’t break the bank. Essentially, the solution was a professional trimmer, which is why I ventured to Ed Wyse Beauty Supply, a supply store for professionals.
Of course, I didn’t know what to do or where to look in the store so I found a very nice staff member who quickly found the product I wanted and also took the time to find all alternatives that I should consider.
Once I made my selection she brought over an additional associate to help explain the best way to care for my equipment. Awesome!
I walked out very happy with both the product and the service.

I came in here looking for a few beauty essentials, a new blowdryer, a do it yourself waxing set, a shower cap. No one greeted me or asked me if I needed any assistance. It was the strangest thing but nothing had any price tags on it. When I went to the front to ask what the hell the deal was the girl said, ya, we don’t label things with prices??? Well is it for sale??? So I literally had to individually take every item to the counter & ask, how much is this? and this? uhhh… no. The wax kit, that I ended up buying at Sally was $ 30 more at Ed Wyse. What the hell? If you’re selling things to the general public, then you need to list the price of item on or near the item, this is not rocket science. I guess if you’re selling things at 20% markup over your competitors then listing the price is undesirable and you’re hoping the buyer will just be embarrassed enough to just pay instead of putting the items down and walking out, not me… try again.
You may not get the Bellevue self important exclusive vibe (stupid) but Sally will have what you need at a better price that is listed on the product — and if you’re a beautician, they’ll give you a special discount.
I’m also finding ULTA to be amazing for all needed beauty products.

THEY ROCK.
It’s very difficult to find a beauty supply that carries such an extensive selection of ZOYA Nail Polish (puts OPI to shame). It’s free from all the bad chemicals and incredibly high quality stuff. Only downside is I spent more than I intended =)

Wow. I am a guy and didn’t buy anything, but a great selection.

These guys rock! Mainly because I was on my way there at the end of the day for the umpteenth time but for some reason kept getting lost, but they waited for me even though I got there 8 minutes after closing!
They saved the day for me!
They don’t always have what I am looking for, but the fact that they waited for me, and the fact that they are close to me makes it 5 stars.
Plus the girls that work there are really nice!

Thankfully, any patron can shop here. My stylist sent me here just in case they’d allow me to shop if I gave them her name, since they might only sell to professionals. I found out her name wasn’t needed at all. They asked for her name when I checked out, but was never given a reason why. I’m not sure if my stylist benefits from that or not.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel pressured to by certain products, and she asked questions to find out exactly what I needed in order to help me pick out hair and nail products. It was so nice to «click» with the person that was helping me. I’m sure we’ll be on a first name basis fairly soon! ;-)
