. Heard about it after a radio show I listened to was talking about ordering toilette paper online. Saves me so much time. I order from my phone and a few days later I get my package delivered.
Lately, my cart will just empty as I’m still ordering. I get so frustrated I don’t order and go to Walmart.
The other thing is I’ve been having a lot of issues with paying via Paypal. I pay, I get confirmation, then I get an email saying order can’t process. So I go back in and re order. A day later I get another email saying email can’t be completed so I give up and go buy the things I need at Walmart.
A week later I get a package in the mail from them. One order was cancelled and one was processed. What a pain in my ass! That’s the only reason why they aren’t 5 stars.

I used this site years ago to buy Nailtiques and sometime other items, like WaterPik toothbrushes and WaterFlossers. When I stopped using Nailtiques I stopped using
, but now that I’m using it again I went online to order more. I bought the first bottle at CVS a couple of months ago and was startled at the increase in price from the last time I had bought it a couple of years ago, from about $ 17 to about $ 22 or $ 23. Imagine my surprise to find that
was charging about $ 18 per bottle, w/​free shipping on orders over $ 25. Easily done, just buy 2 bottles at a time. I placed my order and w/​in a couple of days the package arrived. I’m a fan.

I recently purchased some items from this company and often use them due to their prompt delivery and free shipping for orders over $ 25.00.
When I had a problem with some items they shipped, I complained. At first they just sent their ordinary email with standard solutions, but when I made my problem clear, they resolved it rapidly, and very effectively.
I am extremely happy about my experience with them in general, and particularly in light of the recent incident. I will continue to use and recommend them.
Customer service really matters.

The website has terrible glitches (ex. placing orders, which don’t get placed, but a confirmation arrives by email, or ordering one item and another arrives), which they will not admit to, but will be impressively creative in coming up with reasons as to why the order «was not actually placed,» like, «did your mother order this for you through her account?» or «you must have placed it through Paypal!» Really? Since when did Paypal get into diaper retail?
Customer service is like talking to a robot.
Gave them two stars instead of one, because they have alright prices compared to other sites.
Too much headache.

Shipped in 2 days from PA. Was supposed to take 7 days because aerosol cans of hairspray are not able to be airmailed… Great deals… and coupons…

This company is sliding, big time. I ordered several items on a sale, and some not on sale– I could’ve went elsewhere (since the shipping takes forever by e-​shopping standards– nearly a week– and the discount can be found in many brick & mortar stores) There was a promo for a $ 15 visa card for these items. Turns out one item was ‘out of stock’ and they cancelled my order. So, no promo visa card for me and no product. If I want the product, they are making me reorder and spend $ 25 for free shipping and I’d have to spend another $ 50 for the promo card. Their customer service is a disgrace wasting my time sending me vague responses and pushing me to re-​order. I won’t be using them again. They must be too big for their own good.

has terrible return policy. They take 10% if you return an item over $ 200. I also purchased something on 3÷7÷12 and am STILL waiting for my refund – over 20 days! Horrible return policy which takes forever.
I also agree with the person who commented on the extreme overpacking of small items, one of my purchases arrived in a box I could sleep in and the item was TINY. Totally ridiculous.
This site will have to make a lot of improvements to compete with other online merchants.

I’ve ordered from
many times. I love their large selection of personal care products, and my orders are always correct and usually prompt.
My one complaint is the extreme OVERPACKAGING of small items. I recently ordered a couple of lipsticks and they arrived in a box that could have fit 200 of that item — a box 100 times too big, and filled with crumpled paper too, as if a lipstick is can’t be allowed to rattle in the box. Does this company care about the ENVIRONMENT?

Horrible customer service!
It’s quite sad that I only Unilocal to voice my disappointment with retailers’ customer service. I was excited to make my first purchase, but after almost 2 weeks of waiting my order was cancelled with no apparent reason. I called for an explanation and they could not tell me why nor fulfill my order at the price I originally intended to pay.
Will not shop again nor recommend to anyone. I hope corporate reads this and re-​train their employees on phone etiquette and customer service.

Horrible customer service. I contacted them to tell them they had shipped to the wong address. The package isn’t even in the UPS tracking system yet. They told me they would intercept for 30%+ fee. I asked them what would happen if it was returned and they said I would be refunded. I guess they would rather restock and lose a customer than take the time to remedy the problem while it is still possible.
I was also told I would have to continue to track the package and call to request a refund rather than them putting a note on the order to refund when it came back. I was told that if I dispute the charge it would be a «mark» on my account. Apparently your
account is like your permanent record. Shudder.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and the rep, Kyleisha, promptly hung up on me. Hold onto that job, Kyleisha. I doubt your customer service skills are up to par with the competition in the job market.
In a bad business climate, I hope the cost savings is worth the loss of business and ANOTHER bad Unilocal rating.

I used them years ago before Bioscrip and everything was fine. After Bioscrip came in their were a lot of problems, but years later I thought I would try them again assuming kinks were worked out.
I mailed in the prescription. It took forever for it to show up in the system and they didn’t process one of them, and processed one incorrectly. The customer service said it was okay, but later when I called again they said the last person couldn’t put it in the system. She said she fixed it, but it was left in a status of waiting for rx in mail, but they were both in the system. Days later I called again and they said didn’t know if I wanted generic or not, which of course I had specified several times. You would think they would contact you if problems exist with the order, as obviously delays with medication can be life threatening. I am now more than 2 weeks in of working issues and not sure if things are any further along. Definitely find another mail order pharmacy.

This is one of my favorite online shopping sites. I can buy just about anything here. I mostly buy my health and beauty items here, but I also buy Breeze Cat Litter Pads because they are hard to find in stores anymore. I love the free shipping on the items that I buy and I usually get my order in less than 7 business days.

It was one of those days, lets give Drugstore some business. So I splurged, opted out of their free Standard Shipping & paid $ 19.99 for two days instead (I really needed the shaver I’m getting my boyfriend FAST!)
To my dismay, shipping was not the two days I paid. In fact, Drugstore used USPS Priority Mail to ship my parcel.
With a bit of typing, I emailed Drugstore about it. This is what they said:
«Normally, standard shipping to HI is accommodated within 22 – 41 days from the time the order is successfully placed and completed.
For orders being shipped with our express shipping option the order is expected to be delivered within 5 – 8 business day.»
Wow! Thank goodness I didn’t choose Standard Shipping. My poor parcel would have had to travel half way around the world instead of the 2,674 miles between Honolulu & Seattle.
This experience reminded why I rarely shop on Drugstore…

I recently discovered
and was pretty excited to know I would not have to trudge through the Chicago snowy streets of death to buy a gaggle of lint rollers because my cat sheds hair uncontrollably.
Not only can I pick up those lint rollers, plus some soap, and a case for my daily vitamins — I can also hop on over to
(sister sites) and ON THE SAME order purchase unnecessary, but needed beauty shit.
On top of that — I get two free samples from drugstore and three free samples from beauty = A super excited me.
So imagine my surprise when the Chicago wintry death blew away the UPS notice that
was ready for me to pick up and UPS was going to mail it back to the shipper before I even had a chance.
I quickly hopped online to my
order and sent an e-​mail to their customer service. In no less than two hours, I received a reply that stated they would be reshipping my items at no extra cost to me and apologized for the delay which they didn’t not create.

4 years ago — a long time between orders I know but here is why…
Their shipping absolutely sucked like Eddie Cullen.
I mean, I originally was a bit naïve in ordering from them so I foolishly selected their «Free Shipping» offer (hey, I was not about to pay an additional $ 8.99 for a $ 27 order when, according to them, it would arrive just a tad bit later than their 3-​Day Shipping and you never know until you try something out, right).
This was one of the most foolish decisions of my Internet buying life thus far — seriously.
(I have had far better service from eBay sellers who pull in one to two hundred dollars a month [TOPS!] than a company that grosses oh I do not know… how many MILLIONS per month!!!)
Brief (2006) rundown:
The package made it within 15 – 20 minutes of my home within 2 days — yet sat there for an additional 5!
When I called to see what the holdup was,
told me that it was their policy that «Free Shipping» take 7 days no matter how early it arrives at the disbursement location to be delivered.
(Like Cowboy Jon from The Real World: Los Angeles — «True Storayyyy!»)
I am serious. This is what they actually told me.
So 4 additional days pass and I finally get my package — only to go to a REAL drug store the next day and find the product readily available — and at a much cheaper price (the company had JUST placed it into retail stores — Yay!).
That was it for me — no more
Fast-​forward a little over 4 years later, and instead of purchasing the items that I needed directly from each manufacturer (thus saving major money on shipping as well as not exposing myself to the possibility of easier card theft by having 5 different companies process my order), I decided to give
another chance.
(Hey, everyone deserves a second chance, right?)
So I place my order at around 2PM and wait for the confirmation email that says my order has been processed — never happens.
I go to sleep, wake, check my email at lunch — the order is STILL processing!
Having called and placed my order by phone after placing all of my items in my «basket,» I was assured that if I chose 2-​Day Shipping that my order would be processed that day and would in fact; arrive in 2 days (it even states that on the site: Order Processing — Same Day for 2-​Day Shipping).
So I call to see what the holdup is and am informed that my order was packaged and ready to go but get this… would be shipped THE NEXT DAY OR THE DAY AFTER!
Needless to say, I was not pleased. So I brought up the fact that with the shipping that I paid for ($ 11.99 for less than 2 pounds worth of product mind you), the processing states same day. The rather rude woman on the other end cops an attitude and tells me that I missed the cutoff time.
Say Whaaa?
To which I respond, «So I missed the cutoff time yesterday, but since the order was placed yesterday… why did it not ship today?»
*Crickets*
More excuses.
So I ask if I can have my order cancelled at this point to which she replies, «No. But I can have it rerouted back to us after it ships.»
What???
So I then ask if they can upgrade my order to Overnight for the inconvenience, since it clearly was not my fault and I would not have ordered had the gentleman who placed my order (AKA took my money) been truthful and not told me that the order would reach me within 2 days — which again, is what I paid for.
She responds that she cannot do so because again, my order is boxed and ready to go in the warehouse but just needs a label.
What the???
So then I ask if I can have her upgrade to Overnight and I pay the difference — to which she replies, «Sure!»
Now, does that make much sense? You are telling me that you cannot upgrade my order to Overnight because my order is all ready to go, but when I offer to pay for it, suddenly it can be done?
So basically I was told that I would receive my package 7 days from when I placed the order since (and I quote), «The company we use does not deliver on weekends.»
So… why did I even pay for 2-​Day Shipping if I could have received my package in roughly the same amount of time for free?
Because I was foolishly taught that «you get what you pay for.»
And so I PAID for shipping.
*Sigh*
Needless to say, there will not be another 4 years and then my foolishly thinking to myself, «Hey, let me give
another try! Yeah!»
Selection is amazing, price is comparable to the stores that charge more (i.e. you can beat DS.com’s prices at places such as Wally-​Mart («Sorry folks, parks closed» John Candy) or Target, and be on par with them at overpriced stores such as Walgreens and CVS, shipping is the worst — the worst Jerry! (Kenny Bania — Seinfeld).

I placed an order for 1 bottle of shampoo and 1 box of hair bleach on March 27, 2009. It is May 16, 2009 and I still haven’t received my order. Customer Service has assured me that it is en route from a UPS shipping center in Utah. This is after emailing customer service and calling customer service twice. How complicated is it to get an order slip to a warehouse and then have someone put some items in a box and have them shipped out ?
The two reasons that I ordered from
were that I thought it was shipping from Bellevue, WA (it didn’t) and the bleach was really cheap (it was).
Fucking ridiculous, I should have just gone to Rite-​Aid.

To me, a business like
is supposed to make it easier to buy the stuff you need than actually going to a physical store. After all, that’s the pitch of the ‘net, right? Faster, easier, better — maybe even cheaper?
Drugstore sells most things at full retail, unless you are lucky enough to find a sale on what you actually need vs whatever they are pimping at the moment.
When you place your order, they immediately place a hold on your credit card, but sit on the order for a couple of days for «processing.» Then, it gets packaged, and finally it ships. The hold part is normal, the sitting on it — in this day and age — is not.
There is a huge disincentive to select Standard Shipping. They say 4 – 7 days after it leaves the warehouse — and they mean it. It’s 4 – 7 _​business days_​ (up from the previous 3 – 6). You are unlikely to receive your order until two full weeks after you place it.
We’ve given them three orders, and they’ve screwed each and every one up. One arrived soaking wet, and the CSR’s comment was «now that you’ve received it it’s your problem not ours.»
Lastly, they are pretty fast and loose with their sharing of your buying habits and history. Think your browsing and purchasing history at
stays private? Think again. Their Privacy Policy outlines several methods and circumstances under which they sell your information.
is a great brand with a decent selection of items, sabotaged by some of the worst service and practices that you’re likely to encounter outside of a rural Wal-​Mart — and with the same attitude that you’ll experience from that Wal-​Mart.

I shop here often, as I am incredibly lazy and rarely alot time in my schedule for real-​life shopping for even the most mundane of purchases.
Items are fairly priced and ship quickly on most accounts. That’s good. Their selection can sometimes leave something to be desired (you will really only find the most popular of every line of product, not so much that exact shade of red nail polish you could more easily locate at your local drug store) and their customer service department can be a bit snotty. On a couple occasions, items have arrived damaged or extremely late. I politely contacted their customer service department on each occasion and was consistently treated in a robotic, rude manner. That sort of service will usually keep me away from the site for a few months at a time — or until I’ve gotten over it and feel like reordering some totally random brand of moisturizer.
UPDATE: Since posting this (less than a week ago), yet another package from
arrived looking like someone drop-​kicked it all the way from Seattle. I don’t know if *all* shipping providers hate
or if it’s just the people in the warehouse… but this is probably the 4^th damaged package I’ve gotten from this site.
