We used Costello & Costello to rent a home after relocating to Seattle. If you understand the challenges of moving to a new state with zero knowledge about an area, and having to find a new place to live for you and your family, you’ll appreciate how important this is. What made it so this important to me and my family was that we could not find a single agent that would show us around. All the agents we contacted either declined, were too busy or had the audacity to want to be paid up to $ 300 per day to look for a rental. Chase Costello volunteered to look for a rental on the night of his birthday, running late to his dinner, since my wife and I had to fly back to California the next day. He did such a great job that a year later, we used his team to buy a new home. After a short while, we needed to sell our home and move into a new home and our natural choice was Costello & Costello. Both Chase and Jeff worked hard to get us a price on our home that far exceeded our expectations. After that, they helped negotiate the purchase of our next home. We trust them as our personal Realtors and they have never been anything less than professional. Chase Costello and team is great to work with. I’ve requested for a tour through the site for a property I felt was close to our requirement. In less than a minute (not kidding) I got a call from Crystal to fix the time and I was at the property in less than an hour. Chase helped us out the offer together for the house. He is not too pushy and provides guidance based on your views. It was strong offer but sellers decided to wait for longer. Finally we bagged the offer. What’s amazing about Chase is, his persistence and constant follow up with selling agent and us. At some point we dropped it but he was very persuasive. We had issues on the closing day as sellers didn’t give the house in decent condition. Chase worked with selling agent, hired contractors immediately next day morning and got the sellers pay for cleaning we got done. He turned it around in 24hrs. We live in another state and wanted to sell our condo quickly. Chase Costello was exceptional to work with. He helped us determine which repairs and updates were worth doing, and which wouldn’t matter. When it was time to list, even though it happened to be over a holiday weekend, he held an open house and skillfully negotiated multiple offers well over asking price. Long story short, we had two buyers drop out of escrow (no fault of ours or Chase) and he was able to get us back on the market immediately, and two MORE times, we had multiple offers over asking price in just a day or two. But even more important, he was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us through the process with ease. He was also very responsive and always got back to us quickly, which was helpful because we live so far away. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed working with Chase to find a place to rent as we moved to the area. He put together a packet for us to review before touring the homes. The packet was comprehensive and very helpful to review prior to coming to the area. Chase was also very responsive and clear in his communication. He added a bit of humor, which we appreciated. He was a good listener and we plan to go to him when we look to buy later this year.

Recently, and after very short notice, I found out that I’d be moving up to the Seattle area after my husband received a great job offer. The home searches began with such intensity and through a Zillow inquiry, I was put in touch with this real estate company.
We were under the impression that they knew how to work with people who are new to the area. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The associate who had originally responded to our inquiry made it seem like as soon as we arrived, they’d have a number of realtors that could show us around.
Fast forward to the day before we were to arrive in Seattle and she tells us that she can’t make time for us on our first day here because everyone in the office was busy with an open house. Should I call BS or is this how realtors in this area normally operate? Her recommendation was to spend the day driving around looking for areas we like…
I don’t know the area lady!!! What do I know about the difference from one place to another? Is there a discernible difference from Renton to Redmond? Well of course! But what do I know about Kirkland and Kenmore? Or Bellevue and Redmond? I freaking don’t and I shouldn’t be expected to. That’s the minutiae that a realtor is supposed to tell me.
We are then put in touch with another realtor she forwards our info to so that he can be able to take us around and show us places. There was absolutely no proper communication between these two. She mentioned that he could meet us at 3pm. When we finally heard from him, he confirmed an earlier time. What the hell? We need to know these things sooner!
We told this company repeatedly we had a very short time here in town, and in fact, made our flight to specifically go out looking for places with them.
It was an awful experience with them. Aside from being incredibly unhelpful, they were also very curt and rude. At times, I felt like I was the one putting them out because they had no flexibility whatsoever.
If you are a transplant to this city, do NOT use this real estate company.

Our experience selling our house with Jeff as our agent was beyond exceptional. Not only was he responsive to our questions but more often than not provided us answers before we ever reached the question. His knowledge of the area and the market was outstanding. Chase and Jeff are phenomenal Real Estate Agents that work hard for their clients. I have had the pleasure of being a part of helping their clients buy a home with providing Mortgage advice. On numerous occasions the Purchase Price they fought to get their clients was below the appraised value. These guys are great negotiators and have demonstrated time and time that they fight hard to make sure their clients’ get a great deal.

This was our first sale and second home purchase and Jeff and his team guided us through both incredibly well. He stated he will have our home sold in two weeks and he did! Two weeks exactly! Obviously selling and/​or buying a house is not something you do often and honestly after moving into our awesome new home I don’t see myself selling and moving again any time soon. But, when we do decide to sell and buy again we will make sure to call Jeff again.
Most people don’t know the difference between a bad Realtor and good Realtor until they worked have with both and Jeff, is definitely the latter. If you are looking to buy or sell or like us, both, I would highly recommend Jeff and his team.

My situation was this; I was transferred out of state for work and had to act fast. I was not sure if I wanted to sell or rent, my home in Washington. After meeting and speaking to Chase about my options I made the decision to put the house on the market.
