I luv the sign out front… NON-VEGFAST Indian food… We’ve been here a few times now, I have mixed feelings giving 3 stars, but really it’s hard to give them much higher than that, due to the portion sizes and inconsistent heat levels. Flavors are solid enough, we stick to the basics, chicken tikka, butter chicken, chicken korma, and the nice’n spicy«Indian Spicy Chicken». The spice levels of the regular dishes are fine, we were asked how hot we wanted our«Indian Spicy Chicken» and said 4 stars, the guy’s eyes about bugged out of his head when we said that! He was worried and said, «oh really you should try 2 stars, I use Thai chilis!» We listened to his suggestion and noted the HEAT level was spot on, good thing he told us, otherwise it would have just been too spicy hot to eat! And my mom and I are«Spice-heads!» …More sweat the better in my book… Sadly the second time we visited and got the same dish, a different counter person, who wasn’t as friendly, didn’t really note the spice level we wanted, it was just mildly«meh» on the Scoville range. My big gripe is for $ 9 a dish the portion size is rather small, our Indian Spicy Chicken dish had 3.5 pieces of chicken in the bowl the first time and then 2 pieces the next. Same goes for the Butter chicken porton, more«butter» than chicken, if you get my meaning. Naan seems like the best deal, portion size and price-wise. And I should note, while I’ve never been to India, I do know what I like in flavors and texture of Naan, and here, the best part is the Naan! While we’ve only gotten the garlic naan, I want to try the spicy Bullet Naan next time, and yes, there will be a next time, even with 3 stars…

We cant seem to have enough of this place. tonight we tried their paneer tikka, paneer tikka masala and liver masala with roti and bullet naan. The paneer tikka and liver were too good for words. We have now found our go to place to comfort food! The food is as flavorsome as in a roadside dhaba in India.

If you care even a little about yourself, stay away from this place. Only taste I could recognize was salt, loads of salt. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Fish Manchurian and a stuffed Naan. Togo box for Biryani was almost fully occupied by a HUGE piece of chicken [ I almost felt it was a a different, bigger bird]. Fish was all salt, stuffed naan was dry. And worse thing everything smelled horrible, that was not what food is supposed to smell like. I was so hungry when I ordered, Now I dont think I will dare to eat anything for next 2 days.

So this is a weird review for me to write. I’ve been here several times and in the past always got the butter chicken. It’s really good and the portions are generous. Today I decided to mix it up and try something new, so I ordered the Tandoori Chicken Tikka. I got it to go, and when I got back to the office and opened the box I discovered I had just been charged $ 10 for a chicken breast and a few onion slices. No rice, no veggies or anything.

I tried this place for the first time a couple of months back and while their biryani tasted good, the chicken was uncooked and I could see blood. It looks like I wasn’t the only one, someone else posted a picture of uncooked chicken too. We did try their paneer tikka masala too, which tasted great but they should really make sure they don’t serve raw meat.

It started off as a good Indian take out place but the quality has deteriorated over the past few months. We ordered the Fish Manchurian and it was so spicy that my mouth nearly burnt after having it. Both me and my husband had an upset stomach the next day. We are Indians and we are used to pretty spicy food but this was the limit!

We went there to get a to-go after a lot of thought. The ambience is ok-ok. Kinda clean but had spots which still needed cleaning. The service was good. We ordered Garlic naan, chicken 65 and dhaba chicken curry. All the curries was dripping with oil. Not very tasty as well. Have had much better Indian food around. Not recommended if you want some good tasting food with less oil(non-dripping) oil. Overall an average Indian corner

Small place with 4 – 5 tables and great food! The goat paya soup was excellent! Best indian soup I’ve had in a long time. Super tasty with all the right flavors. We will definitely go back here to try the rest of the menu.

Finally a snack option for non vegetarians. Bellevue is teeming with veg snack options — so this was a welcome change. The chicken tangdi kabab was simply delicious. It was flavorful yet succulent. The fish amritsari was ok — not amazing. But being a Bengali maybe we have very high standards for fish. The customer service was superb which is something you don’t always get at Indian joints. We were quite satisfied overall and would love to return.

It is a small but clean and tidy place with friendly staff. I’ve tried the following and here are my reviews on each of them : amritsari fish fry — excellent Chicken biriyani — very good Bengali fish curry — close to authentic, as good the curry can get with filets. Of course the actual authenticity comes with bone in fishes, but the restaurant uses fillet.(I’m a bong, hence I know the authentic taste) Mutton biriyani — okay. quality of the mutton has gone down since they have opened this restaurant. The quantity had also reduced Chicken roll — horrible Paya soup — excellent Thali — depends on what all dishes they have for that particular day. But in general is not great. Tangri kabab — excellent Bullet Naan — excellent, if you like spicy food However don’t be surprised if you see the staff handling your food with bare hands, without gloves ;)

Tandoori chicken tikka and fish options were well done. Slightly on the saltier side but still good.

The prices are reasonable. The chicken malai kebab was awesome but the chicken curry left alot to be desired. It had too much turmeric. Prices are reasonable and good place for tandoori takeaways.

Horrendously prepared Kadai Chicken– uncooked from inside, chicken blood visible and spilling out… These guys are lucky, I am not filing complain against them in Bellevue health services department. Check out pics for proof… I trashed all whole kadai chicken, did not want to get sick… Never going back !!

Worst Chicken Biriyani with lot of Pan masala flavor. We just dumped the whole biriyaani after a single bite.

We had the tangdi kabab and it has a long way to go. Whilst the chicken had the right amount of char, the marinade did not have the correct spices. It tasted bland and flavourless. Tangdi is supposed to make you salivate — this is far from that. The saving grace would have been if the green chutney had some zing, some spice. It was also bland. Seating space is limited and service takes a little longer than I would expect. Overall, they need to step up before I would go here again.

We are regulars at Phở Tai next door and saw this place opened up with interest. The menu looked interesting enough for sure and we decided to try them out after a gym workout. Perhaps the hunger made it more favorable as we ordered the mutton briyani, the spicy chicken masala, and roti. Fast service and the food came out piping hot. The only caveat is that they were served in ready to go boxes and might give some folks the perception that these were premade and reheated. Perhaps so but we were pleasantly surprised by the taste, the fragrance and the spice levels. We will be back to try some of the other dishes for sure. It was actually after our first visit that I looked on Unilocal and was surprised by the low ratings.

Their butter naan is better than next door for only $ 1.99, garlic one $ 2.49, fresh off the oven in front of your eyes. I had fish curry with naan my friend had the Thali for $ 8.99 dinner and Liked it. I think they will become a very popular place. Small area though with 12 table seats and a few counter stools, but for quick take out it will be alright…

Not good at all. The butter chicken was tasteless and biryani had no flavor. Quantities also low. Won’t be going back there as a bad experience

I wish I had read the reviews before going there and spending my $ 20 :(. Cry Cry! The chicken curry tasted as if its been stuffed with raw spices and out of jars like Pataks. The lacha parantha is supposed to be soft it was super duper crispy. How can someone ruin that? We had Chicken Kathi Roll — absolutely worst. Never again. The chicken still had raw spices marinade on it and i asked them to make it super hot it was not even close to hot. Come on you got to cater for indian crowd here. Also it was all dough. Just dough. Not enough chicken and not enough vegetables. They serve it with mountain heap of raw(RAW) onions… what are we supposed to do with that??? Their chutney with kathi roll was flavourless. Never going again. Its overpriced for the serving size. and bad quality food. They should definitely change their chef or cook. Need someone who knows indian food. Not going back…

TL;DR: hell no — worst food ever! Long: chicken dishes seem to use pre-boiled chicken, that’s right, pre-boiled chicken which makes it flavorless, and also feels like mashed-chicken when you pull it apart. There was absolutely no flavor in the chicken dishes and some of the spice-rub on the meat was still wet and pasty which makes the dish even worse. The Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani smelt like it was garnished with melted plastic, and the garam masala ingredients were way overpowering. We took one bite out of each dish and threw it all away. That said, when we went in to order our«carry-out» order, the kitchen was very open so we could see the chefs in the back handling cooked food with their bare hands while packaging it for others’ orders. There were two dishes that were left sitting wide open right by the front door which were being used to serve to customers who ordered those particular dishes. Glad we didn’t order either one of those! Not only were the dishes not covered, but the front door was not fully shut which opened up the doors for insects/bugs that were flying around. The«chefs» don’t seem familiar with the food or the ingredients, and the«owner» as well seems to not have any idea what items he has on his menu, and what each menu item contains. We asked multiple questions to both the«owner» and the«chefs», and both seemed confused. Finally, I am a huge indian food fanatic, but this experience at Chick N Fish definitely ruined my appetite, and also left us with a really bad experience!
