A great location for a large event. We were here for a Mardi Gras ball and the dance floor was large and there was a lot of room for the guest. The buffet food was also good.

GREAT waiter — Travis! The food was good. I sampled the clam chowder, and I had the spinach salad, fried shrimp, and the twice baked potatoe. My meal was delicious!

My wife and I recently had Thanksgiving Dinner at this restaurant. Frankly, it was terrible… can’t sugarcoat this one. I always feel a Thanksgiving dinner should be a time for the restaurant to display it’s skill and showcase a limited menu. The food was sloppily prepared, luke warm, and the«salad bar» was a joke. Who ever organized that table should be canned. Overall a very poor showing for a Bellville restaurant rated on Google as 4 star. Sorry, can’t return to this one and one very unremarkable thanksgiving dinner.

UPDATE: Fisher’s just keeps impressing me. Had my grandfather and his twin sister’s 80th birthday there this weekend. Food – incredible. Service – pretty good. Can’t complain. It’s my go-to for a nice, sit-down dinner in Belleville. Fischer’s has really started turning things around in the way of food. Service is still hit-or-miss. This past week, our waitress was wonderful. The week before – awful. We’ve been giving them a shot again because it’s super close to my mom’s house, and it’s a local restaurant.(Aaaand, they have house-made Mayfair salad dressing, to-die-for prime rib, and insane clam chowder) I’m glad they’re upping the ante.

I had my family reunion dinner at Fischer’s. Service was horrible. I believe they were short staffed. We finished eating and the other table had not even been served. Fishers apologized and took off a percentage of our bill. But nobody came over to let us know a status… poor customer service.

I am beginning this review before I have my dinner as it has taken quite some time to get my meal– I ask for our salads as we where ready to eat our arm and the cracker basket was empty… our server waited for some time and then came out to tells us that he could not find a raspberry vinaigrette dressing so would we like something else — mind you it’s late and there is only one other table in the place and they have a very attentive server name Travis-…the salads came out and were very crips and fresh -(waited to long but the salads were good)…so again we played the waiting game… We ordered one of the special for the evening — so it should have been spot on after the salad was devoured…22 minutes later the meal came out– again the meal was very good for this first timer… however the service is much desired– after the meal arrived we ask for butter and rolls the waiters response was«ok if we aren’t out of them”-…he left out table to join a table of what may be current employees at the other table I mentioned above– needless to say the butter and rolls became a blur to this server– it was the bus boy that brought out the requested butter and rolls– The only thing quick with this server is bringing the bill– Due to the fact that we were that last customer s in the place I took the opptoyunity to share with the server that he did not do himself justice by giving poor service to the last table for the nite– he xcused his bad or lack of customer service to the fact he was tired and had worked hard tonight with to big parties and such work– Going forward I would ask the hostess before she assigns you a table and see we… how tired is the waiter assigned to the table ofe the nite!!!

It took over an hour for us to get our food, then our prime rib was cold. No one else in our party had an issue with their food, but I’ll never order the prime rib again. There must have had some kind of private party on the other side, as there were a number of under dressed youths loitering in the lobby using inappropriate language and causing a commotion.

Can’t comment on the food because no one ever served us. We literally sat for 15mins, I gave them the benefit of the doubt even as 3 different servers and a bus boy walked by multiple times. Then another table came in was sat and had bread water and crackers along with their waitress in about 2 mins. That’s when we left I told them on the way out and there comment was please come back. We probably won’t. To bad it looked like they could use the business.

I can’t really give a true review on Fischer’s because I came here for a retirement dinner and it was a buffet(presumably picked out by my co-worker who was retiring). I ordered an extra dirty martini to sip on while I waited for the rest of the guests to arrive. They never seem to be quite«dirty» enough for my taste and frankly, if the olives aren’t stuffed with some kind of smelly cheese, I’m never overly impressed. It was a dirty martini — plain and simple. Not bad, but not amazing either. The two main courses were fried chicken and roast beef… neither of which I can eat being vegetarian, so I ended up with mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots and some sort of mac ‘n cheese with veggies. All were decent, but nothing spectacular and came with a price tag of $ 23. Definitely steep by my standards, but I felt as though I was paying more for the company than the food itself. I did take a peak at their menu and saw a number of things I would have rather ordered, so perhaps I’ll visit this place on a later date and update my review.

My wife and I received a «Groupon» gift certificate for Christmas. The expiration date was fast-approaching, so we had a late dinner with my sister and brother-in-law. The Fischer’s Groupons were apparently a very popular item last Christmas, and we weren’t the only ones to arrive days before their expiration. Due to the crowds, our table was evidently«lost» in the mêlée. We sat and enjoyed each other’s company without drinks or server acknowledgement for @ 20 minutes. Not good, Fischer’s. Not good. HOWEVER — and it’s a big however — once management realized the error, they fell over themselves apologizing, comp’d us drinks from the bar and comp’d our appetizers. Two of our party’s entrees included baked potatoes; they reported they were unfortunately out of baked potatoes and offered to upgrade the entrees to twice-baked potatoes, waiving the normal upcharge for doing so. I’m told the twice-baked potatoes were delicious(though I was not offered a taste). My veal parmesan was very good. My wife’s steak was excellent, and my bro-in-law’s sizable pork chops were likewise fantastic. Overall, this was a very friendly dining experience with excellent food. I was particularly impressed that they acknowledged the cause of their error(EXTREMELY busy few days due to the popularity of the gift certificates), but never used this as an excuse to give us substandard service. In fact, they gave us the exact opposite. Great job, Fischer’s!

Drove 12 miles, helped my father and his walker to the front door to find them locked… at 8PM… on a Monday… No sign on the door. A phone call revealed they were closed for a private event. That’s fine, but put up a sign so people’s elderly, grumpy disabled fathers know why they can’t use their coupons. I gave it 2 stars because Dad says the steak special is good and hopes we can drive over another time to use the coupons.

A group I am a member of booked a room with a meal here last Saturday, and I do not get he low ratings? We had a breakfast buffet, and there was Ham, Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Toast Biscuits and Gravy and strudel and kolaczki, there was coffee and orange juice and chocolate milk if you were so inclined. Though it was a buffet our server, Brandy(I think) was very attentive. They did not even let on any disappointment that perhaps ½ our group was a no show due to the heavy rains down state. The food was uniformly excellent, I want to say that the ham was sort of exceptional and I really love biscuits and gravy. Now someone said they opened in 1941 and haven’t changed anything since. I just want to say that is just mean spirited! The place has obviously been remodeled teh bathrooms pretty recently. The place was exceptionally clean, we were not rushed out, we used the room for our lecture series before tours. So I am not sure what people are complaing about.

Two dreaded words… FOODPOISONING!!! Ate there at 8pm last night by 2am I was throwing up everywhere! There is nothing worse than an unsanitary kitchen at a restaurant. I don’t think you even have to ask if I’ll ever go back.

Only being to Fischer once since living here in Belleville and that was about 5 years ago. The food was OK but had to be send back because it was served to me cold. I asked my husband one day, why don’t we go back to Fischer’s and try it again maybe we will get better food service. I don’t know what they have done but this time it was excellent. They much have better cooks because our food was sooooo good, hot and tasty. I say hats off to the cooks because if it wasn’t for them I was going to chalk it up and never go back. The waitress wasn’t very good, she came back only one time to see if everything was ok, which was fine but she could have done it with a smile and been more friendly.

I like Fischer’s restaurant and found it to be a good value for the food and service. They have a variety of food selections and their prices are moderate. I would recommend them and return to have a meal here.

My husband and I eat here all the time. The food has always been good and unlike the other review I quite enjoy many of the updates they have made including the remodeled bathrooms and party rooms. We have been to at least a dozen wedding receptions here and in fact we held our own wedding reception here. I think that they are by far the best priced and best food you can get for a buffet style dinner. We are often upset when we have to go to other locations for weddings because the food choices are lacking and tastless but not at Fischer’s. They give you so many choice and the food actually tastes like something(I hate when restaurants are afriad to use seasoning). As far as regular dining, we love their pizzas and they always have good deals weekdays so you can get a pizza at a discount. They serve Rumaki as an appetizer which are delicous and they are not easily found at many other local reataurants. We also love their breakfast!!! It is amazing and you always get so much food for the price. The best part though is that this restaurant is not like every other chain reataurant, it is family owned and they serve large protions of food at prices that won’t leave you broke.

Visited for lunch. Business light but waiter lighter. Getting anything more than a menu was nearly impossible. Finally waiter came to the table and took our order. Food was ok caesar salad was above average. Waiter came over to the table as we were eating asked if there would be anything else as he would be getting busy! Dining room was more than half empty ramained so during our visit. Plenty of staff and we were two men no drinks eating quickly. Take a pass on this visit to the past.
