I visit this location often for breakfast with my family. Today I was pressed for time so I decided to grab the lunch special(meatloaf) to go. Once I got to work and took out my food to eat this was my lunch! A JOKE! Maybe they thought I was ordering for a toddler and it needed to be crumbled. Needless to say I won’t be doing any more carry outs from this location because there is NOWAY they would have served this to someone dining in!

Dry biscuits, long wait times, . I didn’t really enjoy the food. My waitress was nice though & I like the store items.

If I could give this visit zero stars, I would. Other than our server, this experience was terrible. Here for a family birthday and the Sunday chicken special. Chicken tasted like degreaser chemicals. Had to return three plates of chicken twice and never got chicken that didn’t taste bad. Sad.

I usually order the Grandma’s Sampler. It is the best pancakes and hash brown casserole ever! The staff and food is always on point. Def in my top 3 breakfast places.

I’m not sure if it’s the management or what but this location is a joke. I live right around the corner and find myself driving 25 minutes south to the Monroe location. So many times I’ve gone to the Belleville location and their food is cold and dry. I don’t know why but the biscuits are always disgusting like biting into rocks… I mentioned one time that the potatoes were cold and hard and the managers response was«I don’t understand why they’re only a few hours old…» — wow, really? And you wonder why you’re getting a bad wrap.

Disgusting, ordered pancakes with apples and a side of ham — the first order I received, the pancakes were raw, sent them back. The waiter who seemed inconvenienced by my being there brought out the replaced order and it wasn’t even put together… see pix. The ham I ordered was gross, came off a burnt grill and it showed in the ham… see pix Waiter nor manager seemed to care, won’t return. Let me add that after about an hour I started to vomit, twice actually– called and spoke to the manager who didn’t seem surprised at all, took my name and number and said someone from Corp would call me to see how I was doing… No offer of a refund, coupon or apology.

Just had lunch at the Belleville road location at I-94. Very busy at 1145am. We were seated right away. Anthony was at out table promptly asking for drink order. Between the 3 of us we ordered two lunches and 1 breakfast. The food at Cracker Barrel always seems to be good but the service we received here was just tremendous. Anthony had a few tables to wait on but always seemed to be at ours when we needed refills or to ask how our meal was. He was very polite, always smiling, and willing to have a conversation. I think this kind of service is appreciated no matter what the food is like. The plus side here is that we all enjoyed our meals as well as the service.

I have a love, hate relationship with Cracker Barrel. When they get shit right, there is no better place to get breakfast close to home. When they get it wrong, I want to chuck someone in that big ass fireplace they have in the dining room. This is our go to spot for breakfast. Not so much by choice but because there is literally nothing else decent within 15 minutes of here. And when I wake up with a hangover I sure as shit don’t want to take a road trip just to sop up the remaining alcohol in my system. My go to is the old timers breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, sausage patties and biscuits and gravy. When it’s delivered hot, it’s amazing. When it’s delivered cold it’s almost as disappointing as having the correct lottery numbers, for last weeks drawing. I’ve eaten here a lot over the years both at home and on the road, here are my thoughts What’s good: Biscuits — I swear these were made by Jesus himself! Chicken and dumplins — looks like wall paper paste, tastes like hugs Chicken fried chicken — probably the healthiest thing on the menu Ham steak — hard to screw up ham Fried chicken — only on sundays Grilled catfish — my favorite! Chicken noodle soup Beef noodle soup What’s not: Grits — Blech! It’s 2016, nobody under 75 years old wants to eat ground up corn and water man, damn Meatloaf — ever hear of a mixer? Who wants half a green pepper in their meatloaf? Chicken fried steak — it’s like the sole of a boot fried in a cast iron skillet Is this place gonna get a James Beard Award? No, but there are a lot worse places to eat IMO.

Hubby & I came in to get dinner during the week. If you ever go there, request James as your server. He is so awesome, funny and very attentive to his tables. We never had to ask for refills, or much of anything. He always asked us first. I had the fried Cajun catfish, he had their country fried steak. Their mac & cheese is awesome(I always put hot sauce on my food, the southerner in me)…but their fried apples is like eating an open face apple pie.

normally enjoy Cracker Barrel, hardly miss stopping at them, however we were disappointed today, first of all at 5pm they only had enough chicken soup for one person, next they featured a turkey dinner that quite simply dried out and not very good. also noticed in the store they sell many military themed items, and although on the internet Cracker Barrel is mentioned as giving military discount, this location does not! participate, SAD…

If you’re looking for a nice relaxing sit down dinner with lighting set low and if you like old fashioned stuff and great tasting food, I would definitely recommend this place.

This place has gone downhill quick! Management needs to get readjusted or fired for not taking control of the restaurant. Server was absolutely terrible we had to ask repeatedly for refills, and ordered salad no tomatoes got it with tomatoes, food was like it was made an hour ahead of time and got cold then asked for refills finally a different server heard us ask a couple times she brought them herself and she said that the new girl is terrible. There is more to add about the server but too much to write. Sad part is the food and service is bad and the only be to blame is management for letting the place get this bad. Do yourself a favor and don’t stop there. By the way the women’s bathroom smelled so bad that when I heard a lady tell a employee the employee said they have sewer issues and they can’t seem to fix it!!!

After what seems like a hundred years, there are finally some healthier options on the menu! I’m sure most people don’t go to Cracker Barrel to eat healthy food, but it’s a great edition for those with diet restrictions. This location is always busy and there is often a line to get a table. The wait staff is, for the most part, very pleasant. The food is served hot and is delicious. Refills on coffee are nonstop. It’s fun to walk around the retail store inside and look at all the nostalgic items, including the Bacon Salt! The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5, is it seems they put the slowest employees at the registers, so it takes a while to pay your bill. But we keep going back again and again, so that says it all.

We went there for breakfast. It was busy, but it wasn’t slammed. The waitress took our drink order quickly, but took a long time to bring the drinks. The food took a little while to come out, which is understandable. But, it was clearly sitting out for a bit before it was brought to our table. The waitress brought out my wife’s meal in segments, and completely forgot to bring a part of it. The food was garbage, and the service was right on par with the food.

Ok; after years of hearing how good Cracker Barrel breakfasts are, specifically the pancakes. I finally took the plunge; Cracker Barrel has a southern theme, so I ordered(Biscuit & Gravy, Bacon, Sausage, eggs, hash brown casserole and Pancakes)…To give myself a variety other than just their pancakes. After placing our order, it only took a little time for the waitress to bring our food. The pancakes by far was the best I’ve had in a very long time(10 out of 10), now for the rest of the breakfast where do I start, the has brown casserole was good from what I could tell… since they only give you about 2 tablespoons on your plate«Disappointing». The bacon; was typical medium cut bacon crispy and good(10 out of 10). The biscuits and gravy was very sub — pair the gravy had a gelatin consistency no flavor and little to no sausage was found, the biscuits was lite but lacked the butter flakiness that down home southern biscuits are know for; over all B & G was(4 out of 10), the sausage WOW!!! It was an experience I won’t forget anytime soon. It had a smoke spam brine taste, more like mystery meat.(2 out of 10). I would go again, but strictly for their pancakes nothing more. My over all experience was 6 out of 10.

I love it every time! The breakfast is like no other. Pecan pancakes with their maple syrup are like heaven on a plate! Most of the servers are very enthusiastic and friendly, plus my parents found cool things they liked at the country store when we all came for my birthday! The chicken fried steak and pork chops are both fantastic

Cracker Barrel makes me want to put my hand over my chest and shout out WETHEPEOPLE!!! This place makes me damn proud to be an American. The staff is always helpful and they have great recommendations, however with their extensive menu, you can’t pick wrong. Love the meatloaf and cajun catfish. Breakfast is good. The sides, oh I love the sides. Just thinking about them cheesy potatoes gives me the nip tingles. The store they have is amazing, if you love candy, especially old school candy, this is the hot spot. You like rock??? They have rocking chairs to sit on outside. You’ll be feeling like Bray Wyatt in no time(and after eating all their delicious food, you’ll be feeling like Husky Harris) ***TIPOFTHEDAY***You like YOLO moments??? Play a YOLO game of the peg game at the table, loser pays for dinner*** So dang fun I tell ya what.

Very disappointing experience at this Cracker Barrell today. Our waitress, Desiree was short & rude. She never checked on us after bringing our food. My coffee sat empty for at least 10 minutes while she was nowhere to be found. While she was NOT checking on us, we were discussing how bummed we were about the quality of the food and even more so. the quantity of the food. It has declined significantly over the years. Really close to giving up on Cracker Barrell. This is after bragging for years that it’s my favorite restaurant. Definitely not anymore. might not even bother to go anymore.

It’s ok for a chain restaurant and the food reminds you of southern cooking in spirit. Of course it’s not: the food can be a little on the bland side and it’s a little overpriced. But then again, you can’t find them anywhere but off the expressway. The store is always overstocked and very hard to manuever, especially if its busy.

The last time I reviewed this place, I had commented about how helpful all of their service staff was. My experience this Saturday was not a good one, sadly. My son and husband were both sick, so I ventured out to go fetch some soup. I had stopped at the store across the street for some Pedialyte, so I didn’t call my order in ahead(my first mistake) Once I got into the store, I stepped up to the«order/pickup» counter for carry out. The gentleman cashing people out said that he’d have someone come to take my order. He used his walkie talkie twice to try to get someone to come up and get my order. It appears that only SERVERS are allowed to put in carry out orders(this is crazy to me, but okay) I waited about 10 minutes or so, and still hadn’t gotten a server to come up to the carry out stand to get my order. In the mean time, an old woman walked up to the hostess stand and asked for someone to take a carryout order for her, and she was serviced right away. After I saw that happen, I made my way to the hostess stand to ask for a server to come take my order(we’re on like minute 15 – 20 by now) It seems like the management that wanders through the store area has nothing to do with the restaurant or checkout area– because the manager was busy wandering the sales floor and talking to other associates about clothing items they had available while there was a line at the register. I did manage to get my order taken by a nice server at that point– but it took almost an hour to get my order placed and received since I made the mistake of not callling ahead. Hopefully this was a one time occurence and not an indication of things to come.

Our most recent excursion into the Cracker Barrel world of home style cooking was nothing short of spectacular! First, the Dumplings were great. Rich, thick, creamy dumplings with plenty of chickeny gravy to go with. The Homestyle Fried Chicken was hot and juicy, with a crisp coating for a perfect dinner. The Meatloaf was a very generous slice of combined ingredients covered with a delicious gravy. Even the Rainbow Trout was cooked to a tender and tasty meal. The side dishes of Mashed Potatoes and gravy, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans and even Carrots all rocked(as my Grandson says)! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. This was a 5 star dining experience and I’ll definitely be back…

This is country food that sufficiently meets«old people» standards(i.e. slightly bland rib sticking pre chewed comfort food) which is not necessarily a bad thing; in fact it’s great Sunday morning fare. Nothing wowed nor did anything disappoint, just business as usual. WARNING One too many biscuits causes sever food-baby related discomfort.
