I have the habit of grabbing a basket when I should really grab a cart. Although it has only happened on a few occasions, I am also guilty of checking out at the«15 items and under» register when I shouldn’t be. On one visit, not realizing that I had only a few items, the manager directed me to the«15 items and under» registry. As if keeping me from having to wait in line wasn’t good enough, he went ahead and carried my heavy grocery basket for me! I realize that this is not the the HEB Plus that I’ve gotten used to, but this particular store usually has all the last minute and/or forgotten groceries that I need.

Let me start off by saying that this place kicks major butt over the Randall’s right across the street. I read some negative reviews about this store, but honestly its not that bad. Its actually bigger and more up to date than what I expected. Are there much bigger and nicer HEB’s out there? For sure! However, for a neighborhood store its completely fine. I think it is organized better than the Randall’s and has significantly more employees wandering around to help customers. Its also cheaper! I will take all my business here from now on if I am shopping in the Bellaire era.

It has the staples; beer, wine, meat, deli, ice cream, frozen foods, etc… However, it doesn’t have a bakery, and the produce section is vey small. You have to get your basket from outside. In true Heb fashion the cashiers are nice and you can usually get in and out pretty quickly. Its convenient for any last minute items you forgot while doing your normal grocery shopping at a better stocked grocery store. It is one of the older Heb stores, and is in desperate need of a remodel. Especially considering the gentrification this area has/is experiencing.

Too few selections of organics. Old store, needs to be renovated, but easy to get in and out of at least

No bakery :(. Cheap grapes, fast cashiers, less busy(and less fancy) than the Buffalo Speedway location. I will continue to drive a little farther to go to the other location instead of coming here. Didn’t feel like the true, deluxe HEB experience.

First let me start by saying the only reason I am giving this a 2-star review is due to one employee(I can’t remember his name) being outstanding and the parking situation. Here’s a list of the pros/cons: PROS: — Parking is never a problem — Always has carts — Few very nice employees(I have seen the manager helping people out to their cars before) CONS: — Produce is terrible. Everything is always old and never fresh. I buy my produce elsewhere due to this. *Also, never buy beer here. I bought beer that was 2 months expired. I have looked at beer since then, and have yet to find any Coors Light that isn’t expired. Sad day! — Limited Selection. I can generally find everything I need, but it only comes with 1 or 2 options. — Not stocked. I have noticed that many items run out out of stock quickly. All in all, it’s still cheap and I still stop here for my staples. However, I do head over to Caninos for my produce.

This HEB is convenient for me when I have an appointment nearby but it seems to lack selection. For instance, my gf needed a product called Dryel that I have found at every other supermarket I have been to — but not this one, so I had to make a second stop. It can also be weak on healthy(low sugar, low fat, fat free, etc) inventory as well. Has all the regular staples and good prices, but it definitely lacks selection. I guess if you need that stuff, there is an expensive Randalls directly across the street. So I guess the plan is to shop here and save money, then go to Randalls to get only the stuff HEB doesn’t have. Hmm… not a bad plan now that I think about it.

It’s nice. For some reason I don’t find the place«clean feeling», it feels kinda gross. I do love their strawberries though.

This is an older and smaller HEB. Apparently, it was formerly a «Pantry» type market so my guess is there wasn’t much space to revamp from the beginning. It is what I’d classify as just okay. It’s not big on selection and carries limited stock. Again, the store layout wouldn’t allow for a mega supply of items. We happened to be in the area and went in for a quick grab. That’s about what this store serves purpose for — a quick grab of an item you realize you need. This isn’t a place I’d do regular shopping or for a stock up on items. Prices are reasonable as they are at any other HEB. It’s not pristine inside but neither is it filthy. I’m picky about cleanliness yet I didn’t feel afraid to buy my specific item. Just be sure to check dates on products. The parking lot is big and getting in and out of it is no problem. We were able to get what we needed and be in our way quickly both in store and out. Purpose served.

Dirtiest, most disgusting HEB in Texas! Yes, the prices are cheaper than Randalls across the street, but you will not find a grocery store in Houston that is filthier. It always has rotten fruit/vegetables in plain site, always has fruit flies and moths flying around. The frozen coolers have garbage and crumbs in the bottom of them, the shelves are beat-up and have garbage swept under them– and you can plainly see it– wonder why the store doesn’t…

This is where I do my grocery shopping. You don’t have to fight for a parking spot. You don’t have to fight traffic to get here. There are always carts in the corral. There are never super long lines at the checkout, and there are ALWAYS staff around to help if you need it. I don’t know what a person would miss from this grocery store other than fresh flowers. Prices are cheap, and I’ve never been at a loss or noticed that there’s a smaller selection of anything. My only problem with parking would be the jerks next door @ the pizza place who park in the driveway and cause small traffic jams occassionally.

This is the local neighborhood HEB. Because of the size the selection is not too big. But every time I stop by, their fruits, vegetables, and meats are fresh. The lines move very quick. While I would not do my local weekly shopping here, but when I need to pick something up during the week I would have no problem stopping buy here.

This ain’t your HEB Central Market for sure. A smallish store with limited selections — even more than only HEB Brands that HEB tried to make you get — this is a place to go pick up your sundry items that you have forgotten at the main store. Napkins, Ajax, Laundry Soap, a gallon of milk, MAYBE some vegetables. I would not buy meat here because 1) there is no butcher on site so that 2) everything is prepackaged and may sit in the shelf for some time. If you think of this place as a grocery store, you will be disappointed; if you think of it as the biggest 7 – 11 ever, you will be ok.

This is a former HEB Pantry Foods store, so it has a very limited selection. The produce department is quite sad, very little variety and things aren’t as fresh as they could be. The store always feels messy and understocked. Don’t worry if you can’t find what you are looking for, if it is empty where the item should be, just look up to the top shelf. There is always a hodge podge of products up there and you just might get lucky(but you need to be tall enough to reach it). The only reason it gets two stars is because the prices are low and they carry some Central Market items(like spices). I usually only shop here when I need a couple of staples.
